In a central location of the city (Gracia El camp d`en Grassot), in the border with dreta del Eixample and Sagrada Familia District, only 10 minutes by Metro from Plaza Catalonia & The Ramblas, & easy access to the beach and the airport. This fully renovated, quiet 70 sq. metre, 2 bedroom apartment is housed in an early century art-nouveau building with elevator, so no problem with suitcases. The apartment includes a sunny beau window overlooking a typical Barcelona Example patio, where having breakfast or a drink will make your stay even more enjoyable. This apartment sleeps up to 5 in a spacious double bedroom, a single bedroom and a double sofa bed or extra single sofa bed in the living room area. Both bedrooms are completely furnished & quiet. The apartment also has central heating & air conditioning. There is a fully equipped kitchen.

This apartment is in a central location of Barcelona ( 2 street from Verdaguer Metro Station ) and between the historic city & Gracia neighbound; any monuments & the interesting shops area and restaurants are 5 minutes away by Metro. The spacious Example or “enlargement” was mostly built at the turn of the 20th century. The large number of art-nouveau style buildings provides the visitor with the opportunity to discover the hidden treasures of this lovely Barcelona neighborhood.

About Carlos

I am an architect with 10 years of experience renting my property and friends in the most central location of Barcelona. A large AC apartment located next one of the most beautiful avenues of the city, like is Paseo San Juan, as also in one of the most traditional district of the city "Gracia" and yet close to the noisy and fun Historic city and Las Ramblas, that is to say centrally located and isolated from noise, as well as very short distance of the main main monument of the city, Sagrada Familia church, as also shops, bars and restaurants around.

In our traditional district of Gracia and at short distance by foot you could find a lot alterntives services, like shop`s, bars, restaurants,as like just around the corner an organic supermarket (Veritas) and another normal (Opencor) until 23:00 h. Also with easy access by piblic transport to many places.

Good value for a great location

The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. Carlos met us and explained everything we needed to know about the apartment for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect for sightseeing. It is within walking distance of the Sagrada Familia and many other sites such as La Pedrera and Casa Battlo. Metro stops are nearby and the system is very easy to use. Great restaurants are nearby so there is no need to venture over to Passeig De Gracia where prices can be higher. Our favorite, La Ramona, was right around the corner. The apartment was generally quiet since it is toward the back of the building, however if you are in the smaller bedroom, you can easily hear noises next door and in the hallway. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. All in all though, we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this apartment. You will definitely feel like a local!

Comfortable apartment, great location.

We spent a week in this apartment with its great location; walking distance to Sagrada Familia, many restaurants and bars. Two good grocery stores nearby. The apartment was comfortable, the large closet in the master bedroom was a great place to store luggage. The second bedroom was VERY small, only space for the two single beds and a small shelf unit. The two bathrooms were convenient, one on the small side but the one in the master bedroom was very adequate. Kitchen was very well equipped and the supply of household products (towels, bathroom tissue, cleaning supplies, dish and washing powder) came in handy. The TV has lots of English speaking channels and was a welcome addition to the apartment as we were able to keep up with current events. Lavinia met us upon our arrival and toured the apartment with us, making sure we were comfortable and had no questions. The little sun room off the living room was a nice place to rest with a glass of wine after a day of city touring. The quirky elevator was an adventure but very welcome as the apartment is on the 4th floor. We would stay here again should we return to Barcelona.

agréable sejour

Le sejour a été tres agréable, l'accueil par Carlos tres bien, l'emplacement au top, pratique. Le seul point négatif est la seconde chambre tres petite qui ne permet même pas d'y entrer ses valises alors que la chambre principale avec dressing et salle de bains est super.

lovely property in a quiet location,

Lovely property in a quiet location, but within easy reach of many tourist spots. Carlos was informative and helpful, a good place to stay as a family or a couple, we didn't find any fault. Fab bakery across the road and a goodish supermarket around the corner. Nice to have a traditional place to stay rather than a standard holiday let, we would go back to this charming old building..

Très bien situé

Très bien placé à proximite de deux lignes de métro qui permettent de rayonner sur la Ville : à trois stations du quartier Ghotic, de la place de Catalogne, 5 ou 6 du Camp Nou, 1 de la Sagrada Familia ou l'on peut se rendre à pieds ( 10 -15 min).

L'appartement en lui même est situé côté cours donc préserve des bruits de la rue par contre l'isolation intérieure est quasi inexistante et l'on entend très bien les voisins lorsqu'ils parlent ou leur télévision ( celle de notre voisin de palier était allumee du matin au soir jusqu'à plus de 23 heures... a tel point que nous devions nous meme allumer celle de l'appartement pour couvrir le son des voisins...)

Nous n'avons utilisé qu'une salle de bains car il y avait de fortes odeurs dans la seconde.

Pour le reste pas de problème nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet appartement que nous recommanderions.

Owner's Response: Merci de votre évaluation est en particulier pour considérer la bonne situation de l'appartement; en ce qui concerne l'inconvénient de l'isolation du bruit de la paroi de la salle de séjour due à une réforme pas très bien faite par le voisin, seulement confirmer qu'il y a deux semaines que nous avons réparé l'isolation de sorte qu'il a été définitivement résolu, et aussi le problème du mal odeur de la salle de bain, donc on vous invite sans aucun doute de profiter à l'avenir de notre appartement.
