About Thomas Sullivan

I was born in Florida and much of my family still resides there. However, I grew up in Rhode Island on the coastal beaches and in the fishing ports. There, I paid for college by working on my families Off-shore lobster vessel. I ended up going to college at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Currently, I reside and work in Connecticut.

Thomas Sullivan purchased this house in 2012

Why Thomas Sullivan chose Merritt Island

My family and I have strong ties to Florida. I could not have found a better home away from home. Although, I recently purchased this home my family helped me prepare it to accommodate you and your family. Most guests comment on the close proximity to all major attractions like the beach, shopping centers, restaurants, and water sporting activities.

What makes this house unique

This home has a great view from the living room through the sunroom of the water. It is something to go outside to the screened in patio and hear the fish jump up and down the creek before you go to sleep. On the other hand, it is even better waking up in the morning to the water. The waterway in the backyard is Sykes Creek and it is frequented by manatees swimming up and down the creek. Sometimes if you are lucky the porpoise dolphins may make their way up the creek to say hi. Please take the opportunity when you wake up to enjoy your breakfast or a cup of coffee while sitting on either patio.

This is a spacious beautiful home in a quiet side walked neighborhood.

We had a wonderful time. Our first morning, we saw dolphins feeding in the canal. 2 swam right under the dock where we were standing. Neighbors across the canal took us on their boat to see the sunset on the river that evening. The kitchen has everything you need to cook all meals, but the home is close to restaurants for when you don't want to prepare meals. This was our second time staying here and we enjoyed it even more this time. The beach is close (20 minutes or less) and my 14 year old learned to surf.

The owner, Tom, is very responsive. The house is in good condition with kayaks and a bike to use. I highly recommend this home. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the beach with still having easy access.

Wonderful home for our family vacation.

  • 5 of 5

The home was beautifully kept and very comfortable. The home is set close to the water where my family enjoyed fishing and kayaking within steps of the home. Lots of marine wildlife to enjoy from the comfort of a screened in porch. The home was spacious and large enough for us to all feel comfortable and right at home. It was set perfectly in the middle of many attractions that were within short driving distances. My family loved our time there and hope to be able to do this again soon. Thank you so much for use of your lovely home.

Great Vacation Spot

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful family vacation week. The house was clean, roomy and we appreciated the use of bikes and kayaks provided. From the back porch we enjoyed watching manatee in the canal and the boys caught fish 24/7. We easily made day trips to Disney, Kennedy Space Center and Sebastian Inlet Pier. We would not only recommend this property, we want to go back as soon as possible.

Beautiful and Comfortable Home in a nice community

  • 5 of 5

The home was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It is close to grocery stores and Dunkin Donuts, but still in a quiet community. We went to the beach for the day and the kids enjoyed the bikes in the evening. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We are thinking of making it an annual tradition. The hosts were available if needed. I highly recommend this home.
