This well-maintained, upscale, custom home offers an open, bright floor plan, well stocked kitchen, fenced yard and expansive decks. Located on the preferred side of the canal so the decks receive afternoon shade. With five BRs (two of which are Masters with King beds) and five full baths there is ample room for 12, and 14 if the sleeper sofa is utilized. WIFI, hammock, Weber charcoal grill, gas grill, and more.

Located on a deep-water, concrete canal you can enjoy views of the canal and Intracoastal Waterway. Direct access to the ICW and a dock with freshwater wash down makes boating a pleasure. Even if you don’t have a boat everyone enjoys fishing, crabbing and swimming in the canal.

Two Kings, One Queen, Two Doubles, Two Twins and Queen Sleeper Sofa. *Sheets, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc. must be provided by Guest. See Rental Agreement attachment for details.* Rental linens & towels are available through several companies on the island.

Check-in is 2pm or later. Check-out is 10am.

About Tad Dixon

I started visiting OIB when I was a child and have loved it ever since. When my wife and first decided to buy a beach home we toured the entire NC coast to find the perfect spot. We never found a place any better than OIB. After carefully evaluating all of the floor plans on the island, we built the home in 2002. We now live in Asheville and make it to the beach as often as we can.

Why Tad Dixon chose Ocean Isle Beach

We chose this lot due to the proximity to the beach access and because it's on the West side of the canal. On our side of the street the decks are shaded during the hottest part of the afternoon. After hours at the beach coming home to a shaded hammock is a great way to finish the day.

We enjoyed our stay at your wonderful home last week!! We had super weather (and even wished for a few clouds to get a break from the sun by Thursday!). My dad caught a decent sized sheepshead in the canal, which we threw back. Thanks for letting us stay!

Our home is located on a navigable canal a short distance from the Intracoastal Waterway. We are about a three minute walk to one of several beach access points on First St. We have a large wagon available to renters to make carrying beach chairs easy. We are less than 10 minutes to a newer Lowe's Foods grocery store and about 20 minutes to a Super Wal-Mart. By boat you can easily access the ocean via Shallotte Inlet, and also several restaurants close by - Giggling Mackeral, Sharkey's, and Holden Provision Co.

Great Stay

The OIB location was perfect and the house was just beautiful. We had plenty of space available for all nine of us to enjoy. The kids had a great time fishing off the dock while the adults were able to relax on the covered deck (which is also a fantastic breakfast spot). All in all a great place to vacation.

Summer fun house!

The house on 12 Moore street, Ocean Isle exceeded our expectations. Finally, we went to a vacation home that actually looked like the pictures on the internet. The house is located close to the beach and both piers. My family liked it so much that they wanted me to book the next vacation before we left. I truly recommend staying there...and lastly, I plan to bring my family back as soon as possible.

4th Year and Counting of a Great Vacation!

Our family has been staying for a week at 12 Moore St for 4 years now. It feels like our home away from home. The house is bright, spacious and always has everything we need. The outdoor space is incredible with bright morning sunshine, 3 levels of places to sit and read a book or have a cup of coffee or glass of wine, all while you watch your little ones play in the yard. Seeing the Ocean View from the master bedroom deck is a great way to start the morning. We enjoy fishing off of the dock or just relaxing there at sunset looking back towards the view of the Intercoastal Waterway. Ocean Isle is a wonderful and quiet island with beautiful, clean beaches and several fun places to eat or get a drink. The owners are awesome to work with and always accommodating with any of your needs. We will most certainly be returning for our family vacation for years to come!

Great house, great owner

We were fortunate enough to be able to find this place at the last minute. Great house on the canal and a pretty easy walk to the beach. Owner’s family met us when we arrived and was very friendly, informative and gave us a nice tour of the place. The house has all the amenities, even a whirlpool tub in the upstairs master. It was clean, comfortable and updated. Our kids loved the dock and caught shrimp and crabs. We had a great week and would love to visit again. I highly recommend this place!
