I am a retired Plumber and have lived and worked in Sedona for the past 25 years. I am actively involved in Mountain Bike/Hiking trail design and building. I spend alot of time on the land and want other to enjoy it as much as I do. I love to hike and ride. Having recently retired I stay busy in the trails community and work closely with others to ensure that our community remains biker and hiker friendly.

This property was my office for the last 6 years. With the times changing I decided to restore the property back to it's original purpose and offer it to folks who come to Sedona for their enjoyment. I have a second property as well, please check it out; Blue Door House, listing # 3876975.

What a great little house, right in the heart of Sedona. My husband and I recently stayed at this charming house with our little dog, and could not have been more pleased. Leah was a fantastic host, and it was all we could have hoped for. Amazing sound system too! We went to Red Box and rented movies for the evening, cooked, drank wine, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will return Leah!
We enjoyed our stay in Sedona at the Yellow Door House. It was a bit tricky to find in the beginning, but once we got there it was really easy to orient ourselves. The house is very practical, fully stocked, and has lots of things about it that make staying there easy. Clean, well equipped kitchen, lots of shelving and open closet space, 3 large couches in the family room. We were very comfortable there and would stay there again. The manager, Leah, is very nice, and everything was just as it was advertised. There is a binder on the table which includes hiking maps and all of the details about how to use the appliances and showers in the house - this was a really nice touch! We used the house as a home base for our day trips - one day we went to the Grand Canyon, one day we went to Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock, and one day we went to Jerome and Tuzigoot National Monument. In between these big day trips it was really nice to run right across the street for coffee, to get a meal, or do some shopping just steps from our house. For our family, it works so well to stay in a home like this one as opposed to separate hotel rooms. We have so much more "together" time, but yet have separate sleeping accommodations. We can easily eat meals in the house and don't have to eat every single meal in a restaurant. It's actually less expensive then renting several hotel rooms would be also. I hope you enjoy The Yellow Door House as much as we did!
Came for a Christmas vacation with our two teenage sons. The house is in a perfect location in Sedona. You can walk to many fun places or everything is a short car ride. The house is immaculate and nothing is missing. House manager Leah is wonderful. We will be back!
We did a girls' weekend in Sedona with six ladies and loved our stay at the Yellow Door house. The house is kept impeccably clean and is decorated thoughtfully with lots of convenient kitchen items for cooking at home. It's bright and simple and we felt right at home. The owner and property manager were friendly and helpful. It's an easy walk to shops and dining in Sedona. Would definitely recommend!
Long weekend with five girlfriends- this house could not have been more perfect. The owners are responsive and extremely helpful—very knowledgeable of Sedona and surrounding areas. My advice— start with the house book. It’s a treasure trove of local information (100-yard jaunt is HANDY!), hiking maps, house instructions (inclusive of pictures!), et al. Located on a quiet, dead-end street that’s in the heart of Sedona. Amazing view from patio & front window. The home is EXTREMELY well-kept, well-appointed, and well-labelled. The décor is clean, modern and cheery. Quality all-around—appliances, linens, dishes, etc. Good lighting and well-thought-out floorplan. PLENTY of hot water for post-hike showers. Sufficiently-stocked with main items so look-around before you head to the store. High recommended!
My family stayed at the Yellow Door House and if visiting Sedona would use this location again. The house was well maintained and stocked with all necessary supplies and provided good information on hiking trails, etc.
The house location was ideal for walking to shops and restaurants.
The home is located just a short walk from central Sedona, and yet is quiet and well hid on a dead end lane.
Colorful plates, etc. add to a generally cheerful decor, including some nice paintings of the region that can be purchased.
The beds are comfortable, including the two sofas that are in the living room.
The owner obviously looks after the place well and wants satisfied customers.
Our family of six enjoyed our stay immensely.
