Description

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in Pachino - Rustic house on the sea

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 5 with Terrace and Garden close to sandy beach

Rustic house in the Sicilian countryside, 10 minutes drive from the Natural Reserve of Vendicari, well connected to Marzamemi, the ancient Tuna fish village, by a newly built road illuminated and equipped with sidewalks through which you can walk to the beach in 10 minutes and to Marzamemi in 15 minutes. The house has a large living room with sofa bed, two double bedrooms, a bathroom, a single bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Kitchen with oven, fridge and washing machine, large veranda, barbecue, outdoor shower and private parking.

The property is perfectly positioned between the most beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean, such as Spinazza (adjacent to Marzamemi), Capo Passero, the Isle of currents, Calamosche and others, however, are located inside the Natural Reserve of Vendicari, and the Baroque towns of the 'Val di Noto': Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Scicli, Ispica, Noto and Siracusa, which certainly is a must-stop enriched by the archaeological area with the Greek Theatre, the Ear of Dionysius etc.

Noto reached in 20 minutes by car is the city symbol of Baroque, the capital of one of the three provinces of Sicily until 1600, was destroyed by an earthquake and completely rebuilt in the style that made ??her famous all over the world.

first of all Marzamemi, a real jewel!

Marzamemi is an ancient fish village. The main attraction is the Tonnara, it dates back to the time of the domination of the Arabs in Sicily.

Enjoy aperitivo in the square, it's absolutely fantastic! there are some nice restaurants, caffé and shops with local food/fashion and books about sicily and its complex history.

Two more tips to hiking and swimming: Oasi Vendicari natural reserve and Cava Grande del Cassibile natural reserve.

Big clean house with large garden!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for five nights in Orlando's house and we enjoyed it very much. The apartment is the ground floor of a big house, it has low ceilings and it's a bit dark unless you open all the front doors, but it's very spacious and has quite a good kitchen. Our children had plenty of space to run around, both inside the house and in the huge garden outside. There is a big mulberry tree and all kinds of other fruit trees and pots of flowers. You can take short walks around the garden to the glass houses (plastic houses actually) where you can see tomatoes and melons growing, which our eldest child (4 years old) found very intriguing - as he found the tractor next to the house. Orlando was a very nice and welcoming host, he picked us up from Marzamemi (the house is not yet on Google Maps), and we ate for days of the delicious tomatoes that he grows and that were in the house as a welcome gift. Marzamemi is a lovely seaside place, with excellent places to have lunch and coffee in a central square that is very close to the beach. All in all, we were amazed to find it all so nice yet relatively quiet and undiscovered. I would absolutely recommend this place, especially if you have children. We certainly had a very good time and would like to come back some time. Thanks Orlando!

Super Aufenthalt, Gegend und Ferienwohnung

  • 5 of 5

Marc

Einfach, traumhaft

  • 4 of 5
