Sonny and Dean Huntley , along with Sonny's sister Beth , purchased 'Huntley Lodge' because they love downtown Charleston . The native South Carolinians have visited the area all of their lives and decided to get a piece of history for themselves. They wanted a place to visit with friends and family while having some income to offset the costs. It has worked very well , except they cannot spend nearly as much time there as they would like.Even though Beth lives in the area and Sonny and Dean live in Hilton Head , visiting the property has been limited. They hope to change this in the future and gather for the many fun and interesting things the 'Holy City ' has to offer!

Perfect Accommodation for a visit to Charleston
We really enjoyed our stay at 46E Lodge Alley. The location is perfect for exploring all of Charleston by foot. The townhouse is nicely appointed with interesting local art. The patio was the ideal spot to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing or in the mornings for coffee.
This great accommodation is located in a central and perfect location. Minutes on foot to many sites including the Battery, the Market, King Street shopping and countless restaurants.
It is private and has its own gated courtyard.
Was more than enough space for two couples.
Pam was great to deal with throughout and answered any questions quickly.
Look forward to staying again.
Love love this place..it has been 10 years since we have been to Charleston. Stayed in a hotel by the visitors center then, if coming to Charleston for a vacation this is where u want to be.
Huntley Lodge Wonderful
The.location in the FRENCH Quarter puts you within steps of all that makes Charleston so wonderful: food, carriage rides, walks, the Battery ...all of it! We enjoyed our stay, check-in was easy and the property manager did a great job communicating with us for any special requests! We will stay again as soon as possible!
Great location in the French Quarter which is close to many attractions and a quiet neighborhood at night. We enjoyed the patio area. Don't forget to bring mosquito repellent. The beds were comfortable with high quality linens.
Great location however...-
This house is well managed and property management was wonderful with communication - you could not ask for a better location if staying in Charleston. However as with something so well used we found the decor and furnishings tired- mattresses need updating at minimum (brother rolled off rear bedroom mattress as it is so soft and worn- ha) and although it does have a "sleeper sofa" would not recommend trying to sleep on it- you may not get the rest you will need to walk the city the next day!
Bathrooms were plenty for a two bedroom however, once again, need updating. Toilets had issues flushing due to worn tank parts. Kitchen was well stocked but much smaller in reality than pics suggested and just dated. Again, this condo is tired and needs a makeover.
Nice sitting area in courtyard. Show this property some love and give it a good dose of rehab. I think its about time.
Although the space does exude Old World Charm, we totally agree it's time for some updating & renovating! We have it planned for early 2020. We appreciate your patronage & your feedback. Will definitely be useful as we move forward.
