|Minimum Stay||3 - 7 nights|
This restored old farmhouse is 140 square meters and sits on a 10,000 square meter plot of land with about 100 olive trees. The house was just finished in the spring of 2014 and sits in a panoramic location only 15km from the beach.
The house has an open plan livingroom/diningroom with double ceiling height. It has a large rustic dining room table in the kitchen and sofa + chairs around the fireplace (however, in the summer you will probably use the outdoor space a lot too). The kitchen/lounge has 3 doors out to the terrace that wraps around the house.
Downstairs you have two double bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower.
Upstairs is a very large master bedroom with a balcony, and another bathroom with a shower.
The plot is landscaped with grass and a pool area with decking. The pool is 4 x 8 meters.
The house is approx. 10km from the nearest beach, 5km from Casalbordino and 3km from Scerni.
Splendid view over the hills and stylish interior.The property was clean and we had good customer service.
Our stay here was over all expectations!! We were 6 persons ( family with grown up children) and we all loved this house. The view from the terass and the pool, it was marvelous!
To our help we have Rita and her husband Enio, fantastic helpful and kind persons! They told us all about the house and the environment, resturants and beaches! And answer all our other questions as well!!
It's a big and beautiful house with everything (and moore!) you will need!!
My brother and I arranged a family trip with our families and our father, a total 10 persons, 3 generations (4 years old to +70 years). We had a great time at this fabulous house, it lies in a very nice area of Italy with many small, simple and nice restaurants with excellent food (and very good prices). The house has everything you need, all items listed was there, high quality, great pool, excellent view and located in a private area where you doesn't get disturbed by anyone. Lacks air condition but has beautiful views 360 degrees around the house!
I can truly recommend this house, all the administration with payments, keys, cleaning etc… was very smooth. I will get back to this house again within soon.
Two grown ups and four grown up "kids" (22-28) spent a fantastic week in what we came to call Villa Casalbordino. We must have been amongst the first guests since everything was new. Even the lawn seemed recently rolled out towards the pool, which we understood is technically and officially a "tub" to the local authorities, but to us still and definitely a pool. The house sits on one of the many rolling hills in this part of Abruzzo. Top of the hill means stunning views over vineyards, endless olive groves, valleys and neighbouring hills, all the way over to the snow peaked (early June) mountains of Maiella. The house is generously spacey, even for six people; a generous living room/kitchen combined with a ceiling high enough for thinking really big thoughts. The likewise generous balcony outside the master bedroom is the place to finish your pre dinner Campari soda or Aperol as the sun sets over the Maiella mountains. The garden is still waiting to grow into a lush hideaway, but to be honest, with the olive trees so close by and with the stunning views we never really gave it a thought. The patio with its big table is perfect for outdoor lunch and dinners and the kitchen is wisely placed in that end of the house. During our week we experienced hardly any wind, which prolonged our evenings well over midnight. In terms of comfort level, the house has more or less everything: dishwasher, washing machine, big gas grill, fridge/freezer, etc, etc. We missed nothing! Suroundings? Wow! With a little driving, everything is "around the corner". We found "our" food supplier in Casalbordino, with all the stuff you could ever want; from the buffalo mozzarella to fresh fish, squids, sepias and great fresh bread to. Took some 15 minutes to go there. Restaurants are down in Vasto – we tried Villa Vignola, L'Angolo di Giada, Castello Aragona, Trabocco Cungarelle (on an old wooden fishing platform right above the water). All great, all well worth the money and all with sea views and/or views over the part of Vasto that's close to the beach. Up there on top of our list is the beach we found in the Nature Reserve of Punta Aderci. If you like solitude (or close to it) go there! But bring food and water! There are no bars, no ristorantes. Just you and the Adriatic.
All in all, would I recommend "Completely Rebuilt Farmhouse with pool"? Definitely, with no maybe!
A nice looking house in a really amazing loocation. Everything listed in the description about the house was fully true - Property very nice mainted, furniture like beds with very high quality, cleaning well done both inside/ouside and pool. Service support from owner worked very well and questions was answered in very short time.
Casalbordini the town have what you need for your stay with nice food stores and bank facilities. There is an smaller town Scerni that also provide good service.
Beach is only 15 minutes drive from the house and is really offering a nice and clean beach with good beach restaurants. We felt in love in place called Stella Del Sud - they serve in the eveining one of the best home made pizza we have had.
We are allready now planning to come back next year and have no problem to recommend this to our friends.
