Because its stunning to watch the river roll by. It also feels like you are in a different world yet everything is super close by. Its so much easier to make beautiful memories if you are in a beautiful place!

50th Birthday Bash/ Relaxing home getaway.
This charming home in the Opry Land area was perfect for my family of 10 who came down to celebrate my 50th birthday. Our older bodies appreciated having 4 private bedrooms. Some had to sleep on a pull-out couch in the common area upstairs, but all were comfortable, and I agree, that even 12 people could sleep comfortably in the house. The master bedroom and bath on the first level was beautiful with an awesome view of the river. The 1/2 bath on the 1st level was useful when people were showering. There were no hot water shortages or lack of space/mirrors for all the ladies to get ready for a night out.
The living space on the first level is an open air concept with a wall of windows/sliding door overlooking a spectacular view of the Cumberland River. The kitchen, dining and living room area are all connected so at mealtimes, or just lazy afternoons, all could socialize and enjoy the view and patio. The barges and other boats on the river were exciting to watch as well as the abundant bird population.
Unfortunately, we hit really cold weather so we didn't enjoy the fire pit, but John chopped up wood for us if we needed it. The hot tub has wonderful jets and was a welcome therapy for our aching feet after all the dancing downtown. The hot tub is not in the main house, however. It is in a little shed right next to the house. Perhaps if it had not been so darn cold we might have used it more.
Our trips downtown usually took about 15-20 minutes in our own car. Some Lyft rides (least expensive) at prime time for an XL (5 People) were over $30. Trips to the airport were about $20 on average. The country scene was worth the extra time/cost to be out of the city.
Our hosts were more than accommodating with an early check in and a late check out; this was something we needed because our flights got cancelled and flipped from the evening to the early morning. If you love a good view of water, this is the place for you! Because of the untimely cold weather, we did not take advantage of the available boat rental, but this would have been a remarkable experience to add to the trip. (Boating is always expensive but unique and exciting.)
Thank you to the host family for sharing your home with my family. We feel like we were part of a little Nashville history! We hope to be back again and highly recommend your property!

Awesome house, AMAZING view!
We had a great time. Awesome place for family and friends, close to lots of entertainment. Enjoyed the hot tub on chilly nights, the library is great and the view is gorgeous. Thanks!
Annual girls trip
We rented this house for our annual girls trip and my friends and I had a wonderful experience. The owner John went above and beyond in meeting all of our needs. He allowed us to check in early and check out late due to our flight times. The house was perfect for the 7 of us. The beds were all very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub. The view of the river was beautiful. We had a fabulous time and really appreciated when John took us on his pontoon boat and dropped us off on Broadway. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed the house. An incredible amount of detail was put into the design and decorations. So charming, hope we can stay again sometime.
Great stay for a bachelorette party
This house was so perfect for a group of 12 girls. The way the space is laid out makes it feel very large.
John was an amazing host. We kept in constant communication, and he answered all of my questions very quickly.
I would highly recommend this house to anyone!
