Spacious by Parisian standards, this 70 m2 (800+ sq feet) apartment has been in my family four generations. Remodeled in 2005, Bis2 maintains it's charm with beautiful moldings on the ceiling, the original, honey colored wooden floors, clay 'tomettes' on the eat-in kitchen floor, and road maps from our family holidays during the 60's wallpapering the separate WC. We use only Organic, ecological cleaning products.
Situated in a familial yet very lively neighborhood filled with cafes, parks, grocers, wine merchants and award winning bakeries - you can sit at an outdoor table facing the park and watch 'le tout Paris' go by. A newly opened Monop right next door insures that no want that will go unmet.

This apartment has been in our family four generations. We have all lived here at different times and now my daughter, Alexis, who currently lives in Paris, manages the three apartments we vacation rent in this classic Hausmanian building we have grown to love.
I am passionate about the year round outdoor markets (be they produce or antiques) and would be happy to share my experiences with you.

We love this neighborhood (known as the Village of the 15th) because of it's many parks, little shops cafes and quaint buildings. There is something unique about the down to earth feel of our quartier, not so far from the madding crowd, that is we are sure you will find both charming and captivating.
This charming apartment has been in the family since the early 1900's... it has been remodeled twice and is furnished with family antiques. When you stay here, you are in a home, not just any rental.
It's an easy walk from bis to the Eiffel Tower, the Champs de Mars or the original Statue of Liberty at the Seine. A quick stroll to the Pasteur Institute and UNESCO, this apartment is wonderfully located to enjoy the best of both worlds; the quick paced Parisian city life and a quieter, gentler village life where you can easily become a local. Served by 2 metro lines (the 8 & 10) you can be whisked across the city in no time and with ease.
This property was very spacious compared to other listings I considered, and it was very helpful to have two separate sleeping areas for me and my sister. The apartment is easy to find and very close to the Metro, so getting around Paris was no problem. The Monop next door was so valuable both in terms of convenience and in money savings since we were able to buy food to cook many meals at the apartment rather than eating out all the time. Everything in the apartment was very comfortable, and the free calls and free wi-fi made it easy to stay in touch with family members at home. We also really appreciated Alexis meeting us to introduce us to the property. The only suggestions I would make for the owners to consider in order to make stays even better for guests would be to double check the cleanliness sometimes (the sheets on the bed were stained, there was a little hair in the shower, there were no sheets on the bed in the living room, most of the dishes were put away dirty by the previous guests) and to consider either providing written instructions or a personal demonstration at check-in for things like the washer/dryer, the oven, hot water in the shower, and the TV. We figured it all out eventually, and none of those things upset me enough that I wished I had stayed somewhere else. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again if I decided to go back to Paris!
The apartment is just as described- spacious and well equipped. The location is great; close to restaurants and a variety of shops. It is within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower
Having a washer/dryer is an added bonus for longer stays
The neighborhood is very safe. There is a small elevator to use for luggage or 1-2 people (at a time)
Overall, a clean, comfortably furnished apartment in a great location. Highly recommended
The only reason we didn't rate it 5 stars is that there is no AC. When we were there it was unusually hot.
The apartment was spacious & in a perfect location. Alexis greeted us graciously even though we got in late at night. She was extremely professional,in that she went above & beyond to make up for an oversight. We look forward to staying here when in Paris again. Thank you so much!
We spent 5 nights at this wonderful, charming apartment. The apartment itself is very spacious, equipped with everything you would need, in a great neighborhood with cafes, bakeries, cheese shops, great shopping. Very close to the metro which we used everyday to get around and see the sights. The owner, Marie, and her daughter, Alexis, were so helpful from booking through our stay. We hope to return to Paris one day and would love to stay here again.
This apartment was in a nice quiet neighborhood and very close to the metro which we used to get all over Paris. Both beds were comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed. We cooked dinner in most nights and we were happy with the selection of shops within a few blocks of the apartment. There were also many cafes to choose from for a meal out. We felt safe walking around this neighborhood. There were a lot of travel books about Paris and France in the apartment that we found helpful. The apartment was clean and well stocked with utensils and appliances. The owner Marie and her daughter were easy to work with.
We arrived at our destination in the 15th arrondissement after a long plane ride and 1 1/2 hour shuttle ride from CDG airport. Following the detailed instructions we were given, we entered the security gate and buzzed our contact person, who is the owner's daughter. Alexis met us promptly, as she lives in the building, and gave us the quick rundown of the apartment. Dead tired, we laid down on the comfortable queen size mattress just to check it out, and promptly fell asleep for 4 hours.
The bed was just one highlight of staying at Bis2. The bedroom faces a quiet courtyard and we slept in many mornings. The apartment has everything you need. The kitchen has a coffee machine which we used every morning. It was well supplied with condiments, cooking utensils, a nice sized refrigerator, a combo washer/dryer, and stove and microwave.
There are many books and literature on Paris and France available to reference and it seems like everyone who stays there is happy to contribute extra info to the expanding reference materials. The living room is spacious, the bathroom well stocked with towels, and the apt. makes you feel like you belong there. Limited closet space didn't hamper us, and I'm sure we could have taken less clothes for our 2 week stay.
The location is superb, in a very nice neighborhood with everything you need close by. The local Monop store has everything you need, steps from the front door. I'm sure we went there every day until they closed it for remodeling. Food options abound in the neighborhood and plenty of shopping on nearby Rue de Commerce. One of the many advantages of Bis2 is the proximity to the fast and efficient Metro. The entrance to Line 8 is just around the corner and you can get ANYWHERE in the city, with transfers, for one low price. If you have never been to Paris, like we hadn't, you will really enjoy the comfort and convenience of this apartment. It's a great place to start your day in the most romantic city in the world.
The lively Rue du Commerce is around the corner and there are 3 outdoor food markets within easy walking distance. For you antique lovers, the Porte de Vanves antique market is a short tram ride away.
The #8 metro line will take you to every major monument in less than 15 minutes, the #10 line and the #72 bus are direct to the Latin quarter. Spend the day sightseeing, and in the evening return to the charm, and calm, of a true Parisian neighborhood.
