About Wil Morphew

We have two properties that we rent. The suite which you are looking at and the 2 story cabin.

Wil Morphew purchased this house in 2010

What makes this house unique

The fall colors, spring flowers, a nice fireplace to warm up by in the winter, swimming at your front door, plenty of birds and squirrels, occasional deer or Bald Eagle, canoeing, the rock hard to narrow down to only one thing I loved about this place.

We met some friends there for the Labor Day weekend. Two couples and two dogs. We did a float trip down the caddo river for day one. Then drove to Alberts Pike and hiked the winding staircase trail for day two. I will stay here again.

Lovely Location

  • 4 of 5

The location provided direct river access! The place was clean and had the items we needed. Wil was great.

We were close to Kayak rentals and lake access.

I would highly recommend this rental.

Beautiful setting with great views.

Thanks Will for sharing your vacation home with us. You were very nice and easy to work with. We have stayed here in the past because it is so convenient to Arrowhead camping and Canoe rentals. We will stay here again.

Tho only negative is the second bed. Very uncomfortable.

Amazing and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

What a great mini-vaca we had here! We love kayaking the Caddo and the river was right there in the back yard! Beautiful view from the large deck where we had morning coffee and ate every evening meal. The fireflies were amazing to watch. We put-in from the house and kayaked to Glenwood one day (8 miles) and the next day we drove up to Norman (8 miles) and kayaked down to the house....very convenient! The location is great as it is close to Glenwood, and the grocery store (Wright's Grocery) is really good and is on the way to the house. If you enjoy "a good cold one" bring lots with you as this is a dry area and closest libations are 40 miles away. The house is clean and neat, bedrooms are spacious and bathrooms are big as well. Lots of towels and cloths. Nice big living/dining area where we enjoyed playing board games and cards after dark. Great air conditioning! Just FYI - if you're a chef like me, and live in a kitchen - preprep your meals as much as possible as this kitchen is small with no counter space and has only pots, skillets and a small casserole dish. This is NOT a criticism! This is just information, and anyway, who wants to be stuck in a kitchen when it's so beautiful outside!! I can't say enough about the owner, Wil, also known as Tater. He is THE best! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and the river, and just plan fun to visit with. He even hitched a trailer to his ATV and brought our kayaks up from the river to our trucks so we wouldn't have to haul them uphill. WOW! He's just a great guy! Also enjoyed visiting with his young daughter, Bree. What a cutie!!

Overall, this was a great and wonderful experience and we will be going back! :)

Myself and my three teenagers stayed for two nights. The property owners are amazing and very friendly. The place was clean and well maintained. The view of the River is breath taking. We will without a doubt stay there again.
