About Jeff Thruston

I work in the Outdoors Industry and have the opportunity to travel to great places all around the world. However, nothing compares to Lake Tahoe and especially Incline Village. I enjoy everything from laying on the beach to skiing down a mountain and Lake Tahoe has it all! No matter what your speed, I can assure you pure bliss while staying here.

Jeff Thruston purchased this chalet in 2011

Why Jeff Thruston chose Incline Village

Incline Village is a quick drive from my home in Reno. I've more or less grown up in Incline and have always been drawn to the exquisite beauty of the area. From the water to the beaches to the mountains, Incline has it all. Incline has the perfect balance of locals and tourists. Not too busy, not too quiet...just right! There's plenty of reasons why the North Shore of Lake Tahoe is the most desirable location on the Lake.

What makes this chalet unique

This cabin is a short walk (or drive) to the family friendly Diamond Peak Ski Resort. With views of the lake from many of the runs, this is a great mountain to take in the beauty of Lake Tahoe. Unlike most other resorts, there is never large crowds here. A couple minute drive and you're at the very desirable and private Incline Beach where you can lay on the beach, play volleyball, rent boats, kayaks, Jet Ski's and more. This is hands down the most desirable beach in Tahoe to spend a day (or month)!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Such a magical place! My family and I enjoyed staying here very much. We spent the weekend skiing at the nearby resorts and absolutely loved it! The view from the living room of the surrounding mountains and ski resort is incredible. We shall return!

Amazing, close to slopes

  • 5 of 5

Second time we've stayed here. Wonderful 3 bedroom, plenty of room for our family of 4. Cozy, close to Diamond Peak and town, can't beat it. If we ski Diamond Peak again this will be our first choice of rental.

Our stay was wonderful! The house was very convenient to all of our weekend activities.

Thank you so much! Your home is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was clean and we were able to check in early, which was an added bonus. We were in Incline for a wedding and the location was very convenient to all of the wedding activities. We will definitely recommend this property to any of our friends traveling to the Tahoe area.

The Best Couples Birthday Get Away

  • 5 of 5

So usually 'daddy' plays golf and we host a BBQ for his birthday because it is in Summer and the rest of the family is December and January. This year we decided after spending time in Orlando for our 25th with the whole family we would opt for a couples retreat for 'daddy's' birthday. This cabin is wonderful! Peaceful, quiet, and a much deserved retreat. We checked in ate at the Grille down the hill on Friday (awesome food and service), slept under the stars - then we headed to Kings Beach, ate at Jason's, walked, shopped, and later Saturday attended the Shakespeare Festival - Wonderful Performance - slept under the stars again and headed home...Enjoy!

Great location

  • 4 of 5

Great location and clean. Only complaint would be both my wife and I had a tuff time being comfortable on the bed. I would recommend new mattresses, that being said I would definitely rent this condo again ....

Good value in summer, but better suited for winter.

  • 3 of 5

Upstairs kitchen and large great room modernized with large deck and nice views to ski slopes. No lakeview. Steep set of 20 stairs just to get to unit entry. Bedrooms downstairs a bit dungeony but so what? You're just sleeping there. Please put rubber mats or traction strips in shower tubs. Extremely slick.

Nice house. Needs a little work.

  • 3 of 5

Upon arrival found the stairs leading to the house full of snow. Had to navigate my way to the house. Found a shovel and cleaned about a foot of snow off the stairs and sidewalk lucky there was a shovel Or would not have gotten our things up. Next day it snowed about 6 inches and had to shovel again. Didn't think I would have to work to rent the house. Other wise the house was clean but needed more paper products

Owner's Response: Sorry to hear about the snow. My snow removal team is great but given that this is the worst winter we have had in years all snow removal guys are so swamped that every house in Tahoe is feeling the effects. This is not common! Sorry about that. Cheers.
