I work in the Outdoors Industry and have the opportunity to travel to great places all around the world. However, nothing compares to Lake Tahoe and especially Incline Village. I enjoy everything from laying on the beach to skiing down a mountain and Lake Tahoe has it all! No matter what your speed, I can assure you pure bliss while staying here.
Jeff Thruston purchased this chalet in 2011
Incline Village is a quick drive from my home in Reno. I've more or less grown up in Incline and have always been drawn to the exquisite beauty of the area. From the water to the beaches to the mountains, Incline has it all. Incline has the perfect balance of locals and tourists. Not too busy, not too quiet...just right! There's plenty of reasons why the North Shore of Lake Tahoe is the most desirable location on the Lake.
This cabin is a short walk (or drive) to the family friendly Diamond Peak Ski Resort. With views of the lake from many of the runs, this is a great mountain to take in the beauty of Lake Tahoe. Unlike most other resorts, there is never large crowds here. A couple minute drive and you're at the very desirable and private Incline Beach where you can lay on the beach, play volleyball, rent boats, kayaks, Jet Ski's and more. This is hands down the most desirable beach in Tahoe to spend a day (or month)!
Such a magical place! My family and I enjoyed staying here very much. We spent the weekend skiing at the nearby resorts and absolutely loved it! The view from the living room of the surrounding mountains and ski resort is incredible. We shall return!
We loved it in the summer. But it must be even better in the winter because it's close enough to see people skiing on the facing mountain.
A very nice place in a very nice location. Views, trails close by, several minutes from beach and perfect location to explore tahoe's best shore. The east shore. Friendly and communicative owner.
The property was clean and had a great location. The main problem was the bedrooms. The third bedroom said it could sleep 2 but was very tiny and a tight fit.
Wonderful 3 bedroom 2 full bath house with amazing views of Diamond Peak ski lodge and runs. Our family of 4 stayed for 4 days and the house was everything we could have asked for. It was even within a 10 minute walk to the ski lodge if you didn't want to drive. The porch with those wonderful views is a great place for a morning cup of your favored caffeinated drink. The house was fully stocked with essentials, plus winter tools (like shovels) in case of snow. The kitchen had all the pots, pans, dishes, cups and glasses, etc. we needed for cooking. The wifi was fast so we could keep up with e-mail and posting pictures of our days on the slopes. Plenty of room under the porch, or on it, to store skis, poles, and snowboards. Parking right in front of house. Stairs getting from street to house are steep and can be slick in winter, so anyone with mobility issues should be aware. When (hopefully) we go back to Diamond Peak for skiing, we'll try to book this house again.
My family of 4 stayed 2 nights at this cozy house in Incline Village xmas weekend, and were pleased with the property. The interior was spotless and well-kept. The kitchen and upstairs bathroom were newly remodeled. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots/pans, dishes, cups, etc. The bedrooms were nicely carpeted and the beds were comfortable. The cable TV and wireless worked well. The owner responded to my inquiries in a reasonable amount of time, and the property was easy to access. As a previous review noted, this property does not have a covered garage, and does have 2 flights of stairs to the house which may be inconvenient. Also, there is no attached bathroom to any of the 3 bedrooms, but this was not a priority for our family. Overall, I'd highly recommend this property, and would stay here again.
