Julie and her husband Dan lived west of Boston Massachusetts in the U.S.A until 2015, when they decided to make paradise their home in Grand Cayman. They are avid scuba divers and love the Caribbean, especially Grand Cayman. Dan manages his own project management consulting firm. Julie, a personal trainer (and property manager), enjoys keeping people healthy, motivated and fit. They both enjoy walking on the beach with their two Boxers, Roxy and Rocko, spending time outdoors and being with family including sons, Frank & Michael.

The island has so much to offer in the way of beautiful beaches, magnificent scuba diving and snorkeling, and world class restaurants. Beautiful botanical gardens, the famous Turtle Farm, duty free shopping and water sports are additional things to enjoy on the island.

This, open and light filled condominium is located at one of the most coveted and private areas of the island. Boggy Sand Road is lined with beautiful mansions on the beach and quaint, 100 year old Caymanian cottages.

What makes this condo unique

Quiet, calm beach, beautiful, landscaped gardens and stunning pool are some of the lovely features of this property. Across the street is one of the most secluded and beautiful beaches on the island. The water is pristine and snorkeling and diving incredible. You can kayak to the USS Kittewake and snorkel or dive one of the islands best wrecks. The sunsets are incredible!

Beautiful Property

We were referred to this property by some friends. It was beautiful. There were 9 of us, we rented two condos. The upper floor condo was especially nice with sunshine pouring in the windows, updated furnishings, etc. The lower floor condo was nice too, but had a musty/funky odor. The beds were comfortable, the linens were clean, bath/beach towels were provided, and all of the beach/snorkel equipment was most appreciated. We spent every afternoon on the beach, which was just 50 feet away. We enjoyed buying our groceries at Foster's food market and cooking our own meals. We had fun watching the resident chickens, lizards, and cats (although the rooster got pretty annoying). The island felt incredibly safe and the public transportation was a breeze! We will definitely visit again. Thank you for hosting us!!!

Beautiful Condo in Great Location

We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful condo. It is very clean, well appointed, and a nice cool place to retreat after hours in the sun. The location was perfect for us. It is not part of the big, beachside complexes, but rather on a nice, sleepy street of homes from historic to mansions. It is right next to the beach with a private access directly across the street. Continuation of beautiful 7 mile beach, but without all the downtown or resort crowd. Heritage House and Alfresco restaurants are very short walks in the evening. Don't miss David's Cayman Style Grouper at the former. We met locals that had driven several miles just to have it and we can see why. We are divers and the West Bay Dock is an easy walk to the dive boats if you prefer not to be picked up. We liked that. Owner and on-site staff were very helpful, attentive, and ensured a great visit for us. This was an ideal spot close to everything (including a short drive or public bus to downtown) but just off the beaten track enough that you didn't feel the crowds. Highly recommend!

Nice house, great location

This is a perfect location if you want to stay close to the beach but not in the middle of the big resorts or too close to the cruise ships. The beach across the street is absolutely gorgeous. We saw turtles while paddle boarding in front of Cemetery Beach, near the house. The house is modern and very well maintained.

Definitely rent a car when staying in Grand Cayman. Although the public buses come often, you'll need a car to explore the island and to go out for dinner.

We used a service called Fine Dine-in for restaurant delivery to the house a couple of nights. Best restaurants we ate at were Cracked Conch and Catch!

Not what we expected

Great location, condo itself was just as it appeared on the website. The room with two beds is a Den so there is no closet or place for clothes. Condo was clean and beds very comfortable. Patio could have been lovely to use but the construction and noise were overwhelming. The garden area you see in the photos was gone and the lot under major construction with heavy equipment, work trailers, trucks, workmen etc.. The pool was completely open to the construction site when we arrived and although we arrived on Sat. and were told that the pool fence would be completed by Monday, it was Wednesday before we had a quiet day. People continued to come in and out of the area every day at all times for the remainder of our trip. We had received an e-mail the day we traveled to tell us about the fence needing to be finished but nothing about the condo being in the middle of a full scale construction site. The constant stream of workmen around the place made us unable to use pool or walk freely outside. This was our first disappointing rental with Homeaway. The owner got us a lovely boat ride to make up for the noise etc. but this was not the relaxing vacation spot we were expecting and if told in advance we would have gone elsewhere. It's not a nice feeling when you feel like you've been taken for a ride and a pity as we loved the Island and the people.

Wonderful stay and wonderful hosts!

My family and I stayed here in March and it was such a great experience. The condo is absolutely beautiful and had every amenity you could think of, beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler. Our days consisted of eating breakfast at the condo, then packing up our things for the beach, which is just a VERY short distance (right across the road), spending half the day at the beach and then coming back to cool off and spend time by the pool, which is absolutely beautiful. We were amused by the iguanas that show their faces every once in a while by the pool!

Ruaneik who is the helper at the condo was right there to make sure we had everything we needed and he even got coconuts for us so we could try the coconut milk inside! If we needed anything, he was always right there for us and very pleasant!

The owners are very accommodating to our needs and were very helpful in where things are on the island and had great recommendations, especially for Stingray City. That was absolutely the highlight of our trip!

We loved the condo itself. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable in every way. We had one of the upper units and we used the deck for lounging or eating dinner, all while you can hear the ocean waves crashing on the beach. It really is a luxury condo and truly loved our stay here. And yes, we will definitely stay here again! It was even better than expected!

Great relaxing vacation!

My husband and I stayed here with another couple. We had an amazing time and the condo was exactly what we were looking for! It was clean, well maintained and comfortable. We loved sitting out on the porch. It was a quick walk to the beach which allowed us to come in for lunch every day. The apartment had chairs, umbrellas, a grill, and the use of a stand up paddle board. We were also really happy with the location of the condo. We were able to take a bus into town for $2 a person for dinner, but felt like we had our own private beach. Walking along the beach it also seemed liked the nicest beach in the area. There were a few restaurants within walking distance and a short cab ride to others. Also, we found it really helpful that the supermarket was almost next door, allowing us to make multiple trips to restock!

Boggy Sand Beach & Seven Mile Beach

Windsong is less than 100 feet from the water. Boggy Sand Beach is at the quieter end of Seven Mile Beach; just far enough away from the resort areas to get away from the crowds. But still close enough to enjoy all the amenities it has to offer.

Historic Boggy Sand Road is a quiet side road that runs along the shore with mostly private residences rather than multifamily homes. Here, you will find multi-million dollar mansions next to, 100 year-old local style cottages, and that is what gives Boggy Sand Road its unique feel.

Cemetery Beach and Reef, a premiere snorkeling area and shaded beach, is right next to Boggy Sand Beach. Also, the U.S.S. Kittiwake shipwreck is a 5 minute swim from shore. West Bay beach is less than a 10 minute walk, nearby.

Cayman Turtle Farm and Dolphin Discovery are 5 minutes’ drive away. As well as Barkers Nature reserve, which is great for kitesurfing and horseback riding.

Many fantastic local restaurants are nearby. Morgan's Harbour and its great restaurants, and Dolphin Cove are just a few minutes away. We have a few restaurants that are within walking distance to Windsong; Heritage Kitchen with its local fare is always a favourite. Alfresco makes for great outdoor dining with a diverse menu. And if you're looking for breakfast or a quick bite, try West Bay diner. Within a short drive or bus ride you can access all the wonderful restaurants along the resort area.

Fosters Supermarket is 2 minutes away if you would like to stock up on food and drinks. Jacques Scott Wines will soon open next door to Fosters Grocery.

We are less than 10 minutes away from Camana Bay with Shoppes, Cinema and lots of restaurants. With lots of free evening entertainment, Camana Bay is the place to be at night and on the weekends. Free outdoor movie night on Tuesdays for the kids is always a hit. If you like duty free shopping, you can take a short drive to George Town or catch one of the local buses that are accessible all day.

There are many local excursion operators; some of which will pick up at Windsong or along West Bay Rd. Whether it’s a trip to Stingray City, snorkeling, diving, a trip to beautiful Rum Point, there's plenty to do and see.

With so many things to do, remember that the best feature we have on island is absolutely free. Pack a cooler, kick back and enjoy the sun and water just steps from your door.

Minimum Age Requirements
Any guest booking a Villa property must be a minimum of 25 years old. Windsong will only accept occupancy by a group with a least one guest of 25 years or older.

Children Policy
Windsong allow all stay on the complex. Children have to be supervised by their parents at all times when using the complex pool. There is no life guard on duty.

Paddle Boards, Kayaks etc is used at your own risk and the owners cannot be held responsible for injuries.


Transfers
In an unforeseen situation only (eg: property sold or damaged, etc), it may be necessary to transfer guests to alternate accommodations.
We will make every effort to notify guests prior to arrival should this occur and will endeavour to transfer guests to similar or better accommodations.
Our guests are our priority and we endeavour to make the booking process as easy as possible. We will do everything in our power to secure similar or better accommodations in the instance of a transfer, as we ultimately want our guest happy with the move. However, if, for any reason, we are unable to find anything suitable to move the guest to (ie: nothing similar, suitable or available), then the guest will be notified and a full refund will be given at that time. If this occurs, Windsong sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused.

Damage/Injury
The cost of any damage/loss NOT reported to Windsong within 24 hours of the guest arrival at the villa/con
