Clean, comfortable, "on" the beach and exactly as pictured. The home is relatively close to 2 supermarkets (stop&shop and Star), 2 malls, plenty of restaurants, mom and pop stores and even a fresh off the boat fish store. It is ideal for day-trips to Boston or the Cape, and close to Plymouth, which has many consignment/antique shops. The neighborhood is quiet, clean and friendly. All we heard at night were waves and crickets. The queen-size bed upstairs is very comfortable, with plenty of storage space. There is also a loft with a thin, queen size mattress. The bedroom downstairs is equipped with bunk beds only, so I'd recommend the home to families with older kids that do not need constant supervision. The tile flooring makes it quite easy to clean up spills or sand tracks. Our landlord was extremely prompt and responsive in addressing an issue with the washer and sending back our deposit.
That being said, here are a few things to be aware of. The beach is rocky. Bring water shoes. During our 2 week stay algae was on the beach and in the water most of the time, but if you swim beyond the immediate 10-15 feet deep "belt" the water is clear. To get on the beach you have to pass through some boulders. If you have problems with your balance, walk to the beach at end of the street and come back around. Dogs are allowed on the beach (one of the best perks yet), but in spite of local leash laws, some residents let their dogs roam free. Take appropriate measures to prevent unwelcome canine conflicts. The upstairs kitchen is stocked with enough silverware for 4 people and dishes for 8. There are pots and frying pans but only 1 baking sheet. If you plan on baking, bring your pans or buy aluminum ones like we did. There is no light on the back deck; bring a flashlight to better negotiate the steps at night.
You do not need to bring any floating devices or beach toys, there are several under the deck.
Overall, considering the home's amenities, maintenance state and location, the landlord's practices and the price, this is one of the best homes we have ever rented.
The house looks exactly as it does on-line and is in a nice location. All-in-all in very good condition. They do provide fans (although you probably won't need them - nice ocean breeze comes through the home) but unfortunately the blades as well as covers looked like they have never been dusted and/or cleaned - very dirty. The rest of the house is clean. Nice location with beautiful views. The last day we were there, there was a lot of seaweed that washed up on shore making it impossible to get to the water but, that is no ones fault but Mother Nature :-) Very rocky beach but still nice - quiet and clean. The bed in the loft is not the best - it's a very thin mattress sitting on the floor, I recommend bringing an air mattress if you want to use the loft. Parking can be tricky but doable. Great area for walking. You have got to try "Arthur & Pat's Restaurant" in town - TO DIE FOR Coconut Cake! Also The ABSOLUTE BEST LOBSTER ROLL ANYWHERE IN THE U.S. (no kidding) can be found at "Green Harbor Lobster Pound" - I promise you, you will NOT regret it! I would definitely stay at this property again!
The house was fantabulous (fantastic and fabulous). All comments from family and friends that had come by to visit was how great it was in the location, and that it was so well maintained and cared for. Then add on a whole week of the most perfect weather (unsure if either of you have connections with mother nature so thought best to give you credit for that too) it would be impossible not to call my stay at 22 Cove Street anything but perfect.

2 full kitchens really make this a great place for family and friends. Plenty of sleeping quarters and everyone was comfortable. Windows throughout make a nice breeze and kept the place at a comfortable temperature. Nice having the water so close. Plenty of spots on the beach for relaxing and a short walk to end of the road had a larger sandy place where the kids can enjoy playing and swimming. A very short walk to Brant Rock Supermarket and some great restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner and an outstanding spot for ice cream. Photos and description accurately describe the house location, appearance and amenitites. Owners were helpful towards any questions and concerns.
