Weeds overgrown, lawn needed mowed. Piles of rock and dirt in drive.

  • 1 of 5

Dead bugs on counter and window sills. Food wrappers, dead flies in dresser. Ovens dirty. Used bars of soaps in all baths. Mice droppings in pantry..3 mice seen. Screens ripped and door falling off screened room. Ceiling fan filthy. Not community pool. Could not not use it. Rained and ceiling in bedroom leaked had to put bucket to catch water and move bed. Four of our group left two days early, but we could not get accommodations for all of us so we cleaned and made the best of it.

Great Family gaterhing spot!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a large family gathering planned for the DC area, to both celebrate my daughter's graduation from law school, and to continue a Memorial Day tradition of gathering for the long weekend. This is one of the only places in the DC area that can both accommodate the 15+ people we anticipated, but also provide a yard and parking.

Robert was very accommodating, great to communicate with, and did all he could to make our stay very smooth and pleasurable. He even made a special trip to cut the lawn before our graduation party, that we hosted on the side lawn.

The house is quite large and can accommodate a large group very comfortably. The kitchen, dining room and back porch make cooking and gatherings for large meals easy. Robert is making improvements to the house constantly, and the work that has been done to date is nice. Wifi access was good. The neighborhood is nice. We found it easy to get where we needed to go, with quick access to major highways. We had 7+ vehicles parked on the property with ease, and you just can't find that in many properties in this area. A real plus.

I would recommend the home for larger groups, and would like to say thank you to Robert for his hospitality and willingness to do what he could to make our stay a great one!! Thanks!!

big enough but it needs some serious updating.

  • 4 of 5

We got to meet Robert when we first arrived and he is a very nice guy. The house had ample enough room for the 10 of us however some things are in need of repair or replacement. We wanted to use the gas grill for most of our dinner time cooking but only found that after purchasing propane, it still didn't work. We also found that the stove only had three working burners. The basement area's shower was very dark and you had to keep the shower curtain open to see what you were doing. Other than those few things, we had an easy time finding our way to downtown D.C. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood too. We had an enjoyable time. Thanks Robert!
