Comfortably Furnished, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Toilets, 3 Shower/Bathrooms

An elegant yet comfortable, brick built, English family home located in an attractive but quiet street. With four well-equipped and carpeted bedrooms, sleeping up to 9 adults plus 2 small children or babies. The 'Green' bedroom with a double bed has an en-suite shower cabin and wash basin, the large 'Yellow ' bedroom has a double bed and can also fit one or two baby cribs/cots or two optional child's fold-up beds The 'Blue' bedroom has two single beds plus an optional small single bed and the Bunk Room has two full size single mattresses.

For maximum occupancy, there are two comfortable single chair beds in the open plan Living/Dining room and a full size comfortable double sofa bed.

On the first floor, there is a large family bathroom with shower over the tub, wash basin and toilet. Downstairs there is a separate toilet with hand wash basin plus another shower cabin and wash basin in the Utility Room.

Baby crib/cots with bedding, high chair, stair gate and changing mat are all available on request.

The large open plan Living/Dining Room has comfortable leather sofas and armchairs, flat screen TV, DVD player whilst the large dining area has sliding doors onto the terrace overlooking the secluded rear garden. Well equipped modern kitchen with oven/grill, dishwasher, two fridges, microwave etc. Utility Room with shower cabin and wash basin plus freezer, washing machine & tumble drier.

The rear garden has sun loungers, tables, chairs and a parasol plus a large barbeque for summer use.. There is a child's play house and toys/games for all ages.

The house is easy walking distance to local supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants. Located close to several red London bus routes with the bus stop just 150 metres away. Walking distance to two Central Line subway (tube) stations for entertainment, shopping and restaurants in the Olympic Park (11 minutes) and tourist sites in London's West End (30 minutes) or City (20 minutes).

My sister Elaine & I own the property which was originally our parents home. We have extensively refurbished, redecorated and refitted the property to accommodate up to 15 guests (13 adults plus 2 babies or young children) with a high level of comfort and facilities including quality bedding, linens and towels.

What makes this house unique

The house is set in one of the best streets in the area where it is quiet and has nice neighbours but very close to all local amenities. There is a large supermarket just 300 metres away on the next block - opposite the park with a children's playground. A five minute walk takes you to the local High Street with many shops, banks, restaurants and leisure facilities including swimming, tennis and a gym. The bus stop is just 150 metres and the house is also in easy walking distance to two Central Line tube stations. It is just an 11 minute journey to Stratford where you will find Europe's largest shopping mall and 30 minutes into the center for all of London's attractions, museums, shopping, theaters and restaurants.

Thank you so much for the lovely accommodations at Number 10. We have done a lot of travelling and have never stayed in a place that felt so much like home. Your comfortable and well appointed home left us lacking for nothing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. You've thought of everything! We only wish we hadn't packed our days so full and could have just stayed "home" and relaxed some more. Next time. At the end of our busy days, it was so nice to have a soft place to land. We've had a wonderful stay and can't recommend your home more highly.

We loved Number 10!

It began with inquiry emails that were answered promptly and with patience...I had so many questions! Josephine took care in each response and was so helpful and really made the process less daunting. We knew this home would give us the "live like a local" experience we wanted for our first trip to London. We had 3 adults, 2 teens and a 9-year old on this trip. Our visit started out by us taking a wrong turn out of the tube station after a very long night of travel. When we realized we were walking the wrong direction, I immediately contacted Philip - who was to meet us at the house - and he came to find us. Not only did he find us, he loaded up his vehicle AND called us a cab to transport the 6 of us and all our luggage to the house. The house was everything we needed and more. Clean, cozy and full equipped for our stay. We walked to the tube station every day except one (due to pouring rain). The grocery store was just minutes away and had everything we needed. We had takeaway from two local restaurants after busy days of sightseeing - both were delicious and reasonably priced. I can't say enough about Number 10, as we truly enjoyed our stay. It was so nice to come 'home' to such comfort at the end of a long day. Philip was so easy to communicate with while we were there and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Again, the house had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Thank you!

Our family of 8 (2 seniors, 4 adults and 2 teens) stayed in this very lovely home. Not only is it beautiful, clean, and well maintained, there were extra special added touches that really made us feel so welcome like fresh flowers in EVERY room of the house, a welcome sign for our family and food items that were stocked so we could rest and eat when we got there after our long journey. Josephine was very responsive when I had questions prior to our visit and they have a whole library of brochures, books, maps and guides at the house to use while in London. We were so incredibly comfortable here and I recommend it as a place to stay for any family traveling to London!

The location is fabulous as it is only a few minutes from the bus stop to the tube station (sometimes we just walked to the tube station because it isn't too far). The grocery store is just up the road and just up the road from there are some pubs and shops.

The Oyster Card and London Pass are a must. It was so convenient to have and the tube system is so easy to use. I also recommend the hop on hop off bus tour. It allows people to see the sights from the above deck for great pictures and we could get off where we wanted and sightsee and just hop back on the bus to wherever else we wanted to sightsee. There is so much to see in London. The only bad experiences we had (yes, more than one, were with a private taxi company called Essex. We do NOT recommend using them!)

Una casa preciosa en el Este de Londres.Ideal para familias y grupos grandes.Hemos estado super agusto y nos hemos sentido como en nuestra propia casa.Lástima no haber podido estar más días porque la casa es para disfrutarla.Es maravilloso poder llegar a una casa como esa después de un día agotador pateando el centro de Londres. El dueño encantador.Nos explicó todo en un inglés perfecto.Teníamos un pack de bienvenida con huevos , cereales, leche.....

Simplemente perfecta.

Nice house in a development near grocery store, local restaurants and tube

We traveled to London December 26-January 10, 2016 and stayed at this lovely 2 story house the whole time. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet. The adjoining neighbor was very quiet (this is an end unit). We were able to walk to the grocery store (not even 10 minutes away) for our food. There were 7 that stayed in the house and we were all comfortable. We never felt crowded. The kitchen is well appointed with anything you would need. The bottle of wine and munchies left for us added a nice touch and made us feel welcomed. Philip and Josephine were very accommodating for all of our needs during our stay and gave us advice on traveling around London. Philip answered the phone immediately when we had to call him about a couple of things. Philip and Josephine made arrangements for our cab from the airport to their house when we arrived in London. This was extremely helpful. The beds were comfortable. The house was very clean and decorated for Christmas. The dining room was plenty big for all of us to sit at and enjoy our meals. The washer and dryer worked well. There were 3 showers in the house and two toilets. Cooking was very enjoyable - the appliances worked very well. There are two ways to get to the tube from the house. It was about a 15 minute walk to the one we chose to use. The house has a nice backyard with many plants. We were not able to enjoy it because of the time of year we went. We would definitely stay here again if we return to London in the future.

Lovely East London Home!

This is a home worth considering for all occasions. The owners have it furnished very comfortably and tastefully. There is more than enough space to spread out in this home. There was 6 in our party, but it could easily fit many more. The kitchen is a nice size with everything you need. It's especially nice to come in your first day and find some basic staples in the Fridge, such as cheese and butter and juice, etc. If you need anything the owners are a few minutes away and can be there quickly or just to answer a question on the phone. It's about 30 minutes into London city center, which we didn't mind at all. It goes pretty quick. Easy walking distance from their home though is a grocery and plenty of shops and restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Sehr gepflegtes, sauberes, ruhiges Haus! Top!

Wir waren eine Gruppe mit 8 Personen und haben eine sehr angenehme Zeit in dem Haus verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, sauber und super ausgestattet (vor allem die Küche). In Wirklichkeit haben wir es sogar besser als auf den Fotos empfunden. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und heimisch... wie zu Hause!

Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Alles lief völlig reibungslos ab.

Die Underground Central Line ist in ca. 15 Min zu Fuss erreichbar. Man kann dorthin auch einen Bus nehmen (verkehrt oft, Bushaltestelle ca. 2 Min entfernt). Mit der U-Bahn braucht man ca. 30 Min bis in die Londoner City.

In ca. 5 Min Entfernung vom Haus ist ein grosses Lebensmittelgeschäft (Tesco, lange geöffnet).

Fazit: Wir können es nur sehr weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!!

This part of East London borders the county of Essex which has plenty of open spaces including Epping Forest that was given to the people by Queen Victoria. There are many local sport & leisure facilities available including swimming, golf, tennis, fishing, sailing and climbing. On summer weekends you can stroll to the top of Hatley Avenue and watch a game of cricket being played in the local park or soccer in the winter and there is also a children's playground area with swings and slides etc.

The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park at Stratford is just an 11 minute subway journey where you will find Westfield - Europe's largest shopping mall. Another 20 minutes will take you to the West End of London where you can enjoy the world's best Theater, Musicals, Concerts, Restaurants and Shopping.
