Walk to our private beach just houses away, kick back with a local bottle of pinot in our beautiful sunroom, barbecue in the backyard or cook your favorites in our new kitchen and dine al fresco on the patio, dining room or eat at the counter and entertain the cook. We provide 2 comfortable bedrooms; one with queen bed, the other with two twin beds both have ceiling fans. All are tastefully appointed and include linens. Our bathroom is also brand new with stone and marble tile, a cathedral ceiling and skylight. The living room is bright and airy with a cathedral ceiling, ceiling fan, and open format; perfect for relaxing or entertaining. The kitchen with granite bar, new cabinets, tile and stainless appliances opens into the living room for the perfect gathering place. Our dining room seats 6, but you'll want to eat at the bar! A french door leads the way from kitchen to our spectacular sunroom, where you can spread out on the wicker sectional and take in the scenery... or continue on to the new patio or grab a good book from our loaner library and head for one of our adirondack chairs beneath the oak trees.
Stayed at the Lighthouse with another couple - what a sweet place to relax! We loved this comfy cottage and all its spaces; especially enjoyed barbecuing and lighting the chimnea! The sunroom is just gorgeous too! Great quiet location. We enjoyed the short stroll to the private beach and biking in the area. The vineyards are close by and we got to sample some terrific wines -- especially enjoyed the Rose's at Croteaux Vineyard from their charming private garden. We will definitely be back before the season is over! Thanks for a lovely visit!
This property is a gem. My friends and I were delighted with everything this home had to offer. We were more than comfortable in this warm and welcoming property. The location is great, and the home is very well-maintained. Highly recommended! We will be back!
My friends and I were so glad we chose this charming home to stay at while enjoying a weekend on the North Fork. The property is well-maintained, attractive and comfortable. Lots of cool spaces, inside (huge sun room was my indoor favorite) and out (spacious patio . . . private beach at end of block), for kicking back with good friends over some good food and drink. The owners clearly have pride of ownership. Everything about this home is top rate. I give it five stars. We will be back!
We felt like we were stepping into a Travel Channel episode or a vacation magazine article. This immaculate cozy beach retreat provided the perfect summer vacation spot (though with the nearby wineries, pumpkin patches and horseback riding, I can see us coming back in the fall for more). Clean and fresh, roomy and inviting - a perfect rental. Two-minute walk to private beach, 10 minute drive to other beaches, horse back riding and town. Picturesque, idyllic neighborhood is wonderful for bike riding. And at the end of the day, loved relaxing in the big sun room. We'll be back!
We love this house! Great spot, can't wait to get back. Special likes: beautiful and secluded private beach just a short walk down the pretty lane, horse farms and vineyards nearby. A deer or two sometimes graze while we sip local wine and enjoy dinner made with ingredients from nearby farms. The house itself is a dream – pretty, comfortable, feels brand new, sparkling clean, very quiet, with all the amenities and lots of special touches. A delightful getaway spot. Next time we’ll leave our car there and take the easy jitney ride to Manhattan.
Pretty beach cottage with all of the comforts of home! Immaculate and new inside. The kitchen is beautiful and makes it tough to decide between eating in or out. We especially liked being able to toss on our flip flops and stroll down the quiet lane to a private bay beach. The house is a short drive to the vineyards, historic downtown Southold, and great restaurants. Pick up lunch at the Grateful Deli! Dinner at Founder's Pub is terrific. The location is perfect if you like quiet - just the thing for the work-weary! The house is open and attractive with comfy bedrooms, and the sunroom is perfect for relaxing after the beach. We can't wait to come back!
Relax in Paradise Shores; a peaceful, private community with its own small bay beach, just an 8-house walk from our home. Nearby are larger sandy bay and sound beaches, world-class wineries where you enjoy live music in tasting rooms and under restful vines overlooking vineyards. The charming and historic downtowns of Cutchogue, Southold, Greenport and Orient offer many attractive shops, antiques, small museums and boutiques, as well as a wide spectrum of tasty dining choices; from local seafood to famous marinated steaks, there's something for everyone. There's plenty of seasonal activities, including fairs - especially the Fall Festival with pumpkin picking, haunted corn mazes and spooky events. Each spring, 'Jazz on the Vine' brings first rate musicians and music lovers together across the North Fork at vineyards and restaurants. Countless farm stands mark the ride out the main road and offer bountiful fresh produce and flora, as well as locally made cheeses. Families will especially enjoy Greenport's historic carousel and a stroll through the historic seaport town. For shopper, Tanger, a huge factory outlet center is about a half-hour car ride away.
