Whether sun worshiping, whale watching, or beachcombing, Rincon Retreat is the perfect coastal getaway. The location is also close to great shopping and restaurants in Montecito, Carpinteria and Ventura.
This 1947 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath beach bungalow has been a beloved family retreat for decades, and is now available for guests to enjoy. The home has a very casual beach feel, and offers a great place to kick off your shoes and relax. Rustic yet well appointed, you will feel right at home here.
On the west side of the house, the oceanfront Master Bedroom with queen-size bed and flat screen TV offers great views and access door to the oceanfront patio. A second Bedroom is equipped with 2 twin beds, and has views of the front entry courtyard that is private and serene. There is a hall Bathroom in cool ocean blue colors between the two Bedrooms with both a shower and bathtub. The 3rd Bedroom on the east side of the house has a king-size bed and faces the entry courtyard with views through a large picture window. A second hall Bathroom has a shower and outside access door to the side walkway, leading back to the beach.
The Living and Dining Rooms open to the surfside patio through French doors. The nonworking fireplace has been outfitted with battery operated candles to create a cozy ambiance; curl up in the evening in front of the warm "glow". For book worms, the home has an extensive collection of books from various genres and decades. Grab a great read and find a cozy spot to escape.
The Breakfast Room is a perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee while pancakes are on the griddle. The Kitchen is original but efficient, with plenty of dishes and kitchen tools if cooking is in the vacation plans. There is a stackable washer and dryer unit to keep beach towels fresh and ready for use.
Outside, the ocean front deck is fully outfitted for fun in the sun. For the "grill master", both a Weber charcoal barbecue and propane grill have been provided. Chaise lounges, dining table, bench seating and shade umbrellas all invite guests to enjoy the warm sunshine and beach activity from sunrise to sunset.
This side of Rincon is a bit rocky so low tide uncovers amazing sealife, making tidepooling a great activity for the whole family. During certain times of the year, if the surf is high, the amount of sandy beach in front of the house may vary but guests can load up the vintage "Radio Flyer" wagon with a picnic and provided beach toys and walk down the lane to the other side of the Point.
Sit back, relax and watch the beach activity from this great spot in paradise, or grab one of the boogie boards or surf boards provided and paddle out! As the Beach Boys say, "...catch a wave and you're sittin' on top of the world!"
