~Art Lovers~Norton Museum Is Across the Street! Dramatic 'Post-Modern' Apartment

Bedrooms 1
Space 550 sq ft
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 30 nights

About the property

1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, sleeps 2

Walk across the street to the Norton Museum, one of the finest museums in the South! Or walk in the other direction and within one block you are at Flagler Drive with sidewalk and bike paths along the Intracoastal waterway. Nearby is the popular CityPlace. The apartment is an example of contemporary custom architecture. Large windows allow pleasant light to filter in. Antique heart pine floors and vaulted ceilings are a few of the custom touches too numerous to describe. A small 'Juliet' balcony faces West and another wood deck invite you outdoors. Full kitchen with dishwasher and disposal and a built-in breakfast nook add to the cozy feel. No exterior wall is shared with another apartment for greater privacy, and the small 4 unit building has an intimate quality. TV is 47' high definition and wireless internet is included. I am regularly told that in person the apartment is even more beautiful than the pictures reveal.

A unique gem for those who appreciate the artistic.

Property was perfect for 1-2 people. In a GREAT location and had adequate supplies.

I very much enjoyed my time at this house. I rented for 10 weeks, and Dr. Meeker (owner) was very accommodating. The property is just off the water, and in a lovely neighborhood that was fun to take evening walks in. Less than a 5 minute drive from City Place / Clematis, and from Palm Beach. A small publix is literally minutes away as well. While some of the appliances are a little dated, they all work sufficiently and I had no problems with anything. The first week some of my lights were out, and Dr. Meeker took care of changing the bulbs ASAP. 10/10 would recommend for a short trip, or a little longer of a stay like mine.

Great place for reasonable price

  • 5 of 5

Nicely decorated place, not very big, but more than sufficient for two people. Very close to a great Norton Museum. You can walk about 15 minutes to City place shopping and restaurants, or half an hour to Palm Beach Public beach. Intracoastal canal is just one block from the house. Has a lovely balcony, on which it's great to have dinners or breakfasts for two. Already miss the place!

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed the apartment. As I tell people, the location is the best in town and the fact that the apartment has a distinctive architectural style is just the icing on the cake! David Meeker

Very cool place

  • 5 of 5

This is a very nice find for the person in need of lodging in the WPB area. Very quaint, decorated with a modern but warm and slightly eastern feel, it is ideal for a single traveler or a couple looking for someplace a little outside the norm of hotel living. The landlord is very nice, very responsive and extraordinarily helpful. There is a dirt-cheap laundry room on the property that is literally 20 steps from your front door. The location is pretty much second to none for West Palm Beach: walk to City Place for dinner or walk to the Norton Museum (you really should); jog along the stunning intracoastal and then over the bridge to Palm Beach Island...just a great place to stay for so many reasons. I didn't want to leave!

Excellent pied a terre

This modern apt has everything you could ask for, especially if you like to cook, as we do. It is one block from one of the best bike trails in the US (which leads to Palm Beach), and across the street from a great museum, which we joined. We stayed for 2 weeks, but will be back for 3 months next winter, and I guess that says it all!

We (couple) recently rented this charming studio/one bedroom, self-contained apartment for 6 months and loved the location, the ambience and all the included amenities. We would rent it again in a heartbeat if the opportunity presented itself. Landlord was attentive and response. Location and unique architectural qualities were the highlights.

Located in the heart of West Palm Beach, across the street from the Norton Museum, and on what is called Lakeblock because it is the block on the Intracoastal with a view of Palm Beach. Directly to the North is Palm Beach Atlantic University with all the cultural activities that provides. Nearby is Cityplace with shopping and restaurants, movie theaters, a comedy club, and more. The airport is only 5 minutes away as well. It is only minutes and the crossing of a bridge to Palm Beach. West Palm Beach is famous for its Thursday night Clematis By Night as well as festivals like Sun Fest throughout the year.
