This house was built in 1885 and while it retains its original design, it was completely renovated between 2011 and 2013. Most importantly it is managed by a very experienced and knowledgable property manager who lives nearby. She is happy to correspond with each potential guest and provide individual service.
At 103 Bayview, you will enjoy a new kitchen and newly furnished accommodations (including wifi and cable tv), all while breathing fresh ocean air and enjoying the gentle breeze from the water across the street. The house is very comfortable with a true farmhouse feel that invites you to relax as soon as you arrive.
The house is perfect for a couple who wish to enjoy the main floor where there is also a master bedroom with connecting full bathroom. Families will enjoy using the master bedroom upstairs and two additional bedrooms. There are lots of board games to play: Scrabble, Monopoly, Clue, Risk, Skipbo and more. There is also a chess set in the living room.
Please inquire about bringing your dog (preferably small and one only). The house has a garden in the front and so your dog will need to be walked on the street. Laite Beach park is a two minute walk to the right of the house where there are public doggy bags and a trash can available. Dogs are very welcome there and can swim in the water during designated times. Make sure your dog is up to date on tick and flee medicine when visiting Maine.
There is so much to do in Camden and you are welcome to leave your car, bikes, kayaks or other gear in the over-sized garage during your stay. From your front door, you can walk along Bayview Street and both directions will provide you spectacular views from the mountains to the sea. In the evenings, take a stroll to your favorite restaurant, as many are close by, or shop for fresh local ingredients to make the perfect meal for two or for a family dinner around the farm table inside. Take a picnic to Laite Beach (a two minute walk) and watch the sunset. In the mornings enjoy coffee on the covered, wrap-around porch while you decide your day's activities.

Why Janey Knight - Landworks chose Camden
My mother grew up around the corner and loves Camden. While raising her own family, she made sure her six children visited Camden every summer. To this day, we continue to gather in this special town. When we bought this house in 2002, she was the one who suggested Bay View Street was the place to be. We are so glad we listened!
What makes this House unique
This house is managed by Janey Knight who has lived in the area for over 30 years. She takes a personal interest in everyone who decides they would like to spend time in the Blue House. From the moment our guests arrive, she is available to answer questions and help make them feel at home in Maine during their stay.

Great property, great location, great service
My family stayed here for two weeks in early August 2015 and loved it. As other reviews have stated, the place is very clean and well-maintained. You can tell the care that went into that. My wife is pretty critical of the cleanliness factor in vacation rentals, and this exceeded her expectations. The location is fantastic with easy walks to downtown and Laite Beach. We felt comfortable letting our 10 year old son walk alone to both places. In addition, Janey as the property manager made our stay personable ... checking in on us to see if we needed anything and being very responsive at all times. We couldn't have asked for a better setup in this fantastic "blue house".
6 Wonderful Weeks
What a great house this was to kick off our Maine adventure! I knew it would be wonderful as soon as I spoke with Janey (the property manager) on the phone. She made me feel as if we'd already have a friend waiting for us upon our arrival....and we did!
The house is really just as it appears in the photos: cute, comfortable and clean -- actually spotlessly clean, including cabinets that had been emptied, cleaned and dishes replaced. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are very comfortable. Everything is well-maintained. The porch is a perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee on a sunny day or to read a good book on a warm afternoon. Town is a short walk (about 5 minutes tops) in one direction and Laite Beach/Park is an even shorter walk in the other direction. This street is a popular walking spot and it's fun to sit on the porch (after your own walk) and say hello to the passersby.
Janey was such a joy to work with. She made the rental process easy and straightforward. She gave us tips on things to see, activities to do and delicious places to eat. If there was anything that needed attention, she was on it quickly (though only one small thing needed attention).
We enjoyed ourselves immensely and look forward to a return visit. Thank you to Janey and the lovely owners who opened their home to us!
Perfect Location = Perfect Vacation
We rented this house for a recent reunion of college friends in town for a wedding. It was the perfect spot not only to explore town (a quick 5-minute walk away) and the surroundings (beach an even closer 2-minute walk), but to relax on the porch and catch up with our friends.
Janey, the property manager, was a breeze to work with and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend this relaxing, beautiful spot!
There is something for everyone in Camden: local art and music festivals, yoga and pilates, a YMCA offering short-term memberships for longer stays, bike and kayak rentals, an Opera House, a welcoming and majestic public library, interesting lectures and book stores, and more. You can climb Mount Battie, walk around Beauchamp Point to Rockport, and discover more hikes at Camden Hills National Park. Sail a boat or try one of the many schooners offering tours of Penobscot Bay. In the summer there are weekly concerts and outdoor films at the outdoor Amphitheater downtown. Take 10-minutes to drive to Lake Megunticook for a quick dip or go antiquing along Route 1 stopping at other well-known towns such as Belfast and Searsport to the north and Rockland to south. In winter, drive to the Camden Snow Bowl for downhill skiing or cross country ski from your doorstep.
