Peaceful/Quiet/Rejuvenating - Excellent Find!

We fully enjoyed our week at this condo. Its best feature is of course the ocean views/breezes and location on a most quiet, peaceful and beautifully landscaped mature vegetation part of the island. The photos accurately reflect the interior with the ocean views being more stunning in person. Very clean, significant areas of upgrades, comfortable and stocked with most of the essentials. The upstairs (2 bedrooms + baths) is still carpeted which gave the slightest musty smell on day 1 but after opening windows and allowing that ocean breeze to flow, we never noticed it again.

The complex is located a good distance between both the Ritz Carlton and the Omni on a very long stretch of beach sheltered by an abundance of thick/mature vegetation and tree-canopy streets. The large barrier of vegetation between the condo and the street (which isn't even a busy street) ensures absolutely zero traffic noise which is important to me. Extremely quiet for a good night’s sleep. You can catch a shaded bike/pedestrian path right from the condo that goes on for miles and can connect to the plantation paths too. There is also a fun mountain bike trail in the state park.

A high point is that there is NO public beach access close to the complex keeping the crowds at a minimum. This beach (end of April) is pretty empty of tourists, clean, no garbage laying around and lots of seashells to admire on a walk. We loved that we could bring our dog on vacation and the dog friendly complex and beach.

The only negatives I can put forth would be: 1. The pool is NOT heated. I like early morning ocean runs w my dog followed by a lap swim in the pool. But this pool was as cold as Lake Tahoe! Also, the more attractive ocean-front pool is not part of the deal. 2. The next-door unit to the left, has a large protruding balcony-it was empty, thankfully during our stay, but if privacy is an issue, if both units are occupied, neither would have any privacy while out on balcony.

Downtown Amelia Island has a good selection of restaurants, many with inviting outdoor patio seating.

Thumbs up to this condo, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to a good friend! ,

I recommend the owner to replace carpeting on stairs and upstairs with wood or tile, add a few more dish towels.

A beautiful ocean front pet friendly condo

My husband and I enjoyed a week here with our two little dogs. The ocean view is perfect and we enjoyed watching the sunrise from the balcony each morning. The Sailmaker complex is about 30 years old and this unit has been updated nicely. The washer/dryer and all the kitchen appliances are newer and there’s even a built in wine cooler. The mirrored wall in the living area makes it seem larger and magnifies the ocean view.

We would happily stay here again!

Easy beach access, great ocean view from balcony. Well stocked kitchen.

Lovely place to stay very family friendly area. Easy drive to shopping, dining and nightlife. Truly will return 2018'for our annual family gathering place. Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island feels like home to us. I've experienced her charm with my friends, family and son since 1978. We enjoyed our stay very much, Thanks for the nice, clean and well decorated condo we experienced. Sincerely, Shelia L

We loved staying here!

The condo was clean and very spacious! Most units at this complex are pet friendly so it was so nice to be around other vacationers who love pets! The owners were very quick to respond when the air conditioner quit working and it was fixed within an hour after being reported. So grateful! The view was great and the pull out couch was very comfortable! My kids loved their room and all appliances worked great. We enjoyed our stay and We will be back :)
