All the beds, pillows, and linens are quite new. There is a great kitchen for group cooking, as well as a dining area with a large dining table for 8. Outside we have a pretty deck that is shaded in summer, and a large fenced backyard with 4 raised-bed vegetable gardens.
The house is in a quiet, safe neighborhood a short walk from Pearl Street. A grocery store, coffee shop, bakery, post office, pharmacy, several restaurants and other shops as well as a bus lines to campus, a rental center for the city bike program, and a city rec center are a few pretty residential blocks away. Ideal for 6, we have very comfortable high-end air beds that can be set up for a small extra charge per night of use. One will fit in the third bedroom, and one in the master bedroom.
We are a 15-minute walk from the Pearl Street Mall, and have parks, playgrounds, and a recreation center a very short walk away. There is a Sanitas trailhead walking distance to the west for a strenuous climb to the top of Mt. Sanitas, with its worthwhile views!
You have your own private entrance, and parking in the driveway, and a large entryway for extra baggage.
We can provide a high chair, infant bed, and safety gates, and have a secure fenced yard.
The full bath has a large tub and shower; the second bath is downstairs off the laundry room and has a shower. It is shared with us, but is kept in hotel condition and cleaned each day.

About Dedra Smith
I'm a local artist who organizes art workshops for other artists, usually overseas. I spend my time looking for appealing properties overseas that provide separate beds for participants who are often happy to share a room, but not a bed. I want to offer the same for Boulder!
Dedra Smith purchased this House in 2005
Why Dedra Smith chose Old North Boulder
This house is full of art, beautiful light, and tranquility. The neighbors are mainly families or older adults, and the neighborhood is very safe and friendly. It's ideal for visitors who want to sleep soundly at night, enjoy walking on pretty residential streets with big trees, and who appreciate the option of preparing simple to elaborate meals in the well-equipped kitchen. I'm happy to have you use spices, snag a can of tomato sauce you may have forgotten from my larder, or enjoy fresh herbs from the garden! I also provide soap, shampoo & conditioner, hair dryer, toilet paper, paper towels, salt, pepper and sugar, cooking oil, and other sundries to contribute to the quality of your experience while staying here.
What makes this House unique
This house is wonderfully situated for hiking in the foothills, strolling to Pearl Street Mall (about a 15 minute walk) or catching one of two bus lines nearby. There are community gardens at the end of the street, a rec center near it, and the convenience of residential parking.

Convenient, low-key, and very quiet
I had to find a property a the last minute for my trip with the family and thankfully Dedra's was available. The convenience to shopping and Pearl Street Mall was perfect. Literally, it's a 2 minute drive to the grocery store and great restaurants. We were able to do lots of cooking at the house without any trouble in the fully stocked kitchen. The neighborhood is super quiet and family friendly - perfect for my little ones. Dedra even provided some extra toys, games, and stuffed animals for my kids! Thank you, Dedra!!!
You and the girls were great guests, and are welcome back any time. I'm glad we could host you here! Dedra
Felt Like Home
Dedra and Bob were amazing! I stay in vacation rentals often and this was by far my favorite so far. Quiet neighborhood, spacious rooms (not overcrowded to maximize beds...even with the air mattresses up. They can TRULY accommodate 8...have enough silverware, plates, big pans and bowls, glassware. Often sites advertise accommodations for large groups but don't have enough essential items for all. They were very attentive to our needs and super friendly. Having access to the garden and back yard was wonderful and the washer and dryer was such a bonus given our extended stay! Would definitely come back again.
The stay was great
Our family was comfortable at Deedra’s when we gathered for our reunion.
We had everything we needed, Deedra was very helpful.
Cute home on quiet boulder street
Our group of 5 had a great long weekend in boulder with this home as our base. The living area was comfortable to hang out in and we were just a 20 minute walk from Pearl street.
Dedra and her husband were very welcoming and came up to introduce themselves and offer suggestions on activities during our stay.
Our stay in Boulder was wonderful. The house was great. It was clean, had everything we needed and wanted. The location was great. Even in the snow, we walked over to the shopping center for coffee one morning. The house was warm and comfortable even with the snow and cold outside. Thank you for your home with us. We had a wonderful Christmas.
Nice home in a nice neighborhood.
We had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
Boulder is a great year-round destination with cultural resources through the university and other resources, outdoor activities galore, and a picturesque and charming setting.
I love hiking in the nearby Eldorado Canyon, or from the house, joining the goat trail up Sanitas. Sometimes, I like to walk along 4th or 5th Street and just look at the beautiful houses!
In the summer, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival provides phenomenal productions on the CU campus, and in the winter, there are music recitals in the acoustically excellent Grusin Music Hall, many for free.
Strolling to Pearl Street to experience all that pedestrian thoroughfare offers is always pleasant, and stopping in at the various restaurants, bars, and shops along the way is a great way to spend a few hours anytime!
Chautauqua is another jewel in Boulder's crown, whether for kite flying, kid playing, dining, music, hiking, strolling through the summer city or sketching the Flatirons.
Personally, I wouldn't miss a trip to the Jamestown Merc on Saturday night where the live music is always great, and the menu is full of tasty options. It's great to see how the town has come back from the devastation of the 2013 flood.
Finally, for me, I wouldn't want to leave the Boulder area without a drive along the Peak to Peak from Nederland to Allenspark, and on over into Rocky Mountain National Park, which still ranks as my top not-to-be-missed destination!
