About Patricia Barberio

Hello! My name is Patty and I would enjoy being your Host. I purchased this property in March 2012 and pretty much spent the next three months working with a general contractor to make improvements to the property and to gather information about the vacation rental business.

I am a horse enthusiast and a dog lover. I love riding my horses and my dogs enjoy going on trail rides with me. I spent 24 years working for the Federal Government in the Washington, DC area before moving to NW Montana over 13 years ago. My home is also on the property of the vacation rental so I would be available to take care of any needs.

I have been a small business owner and feel I have the common sense and compassion to make my vacation rental a pleasant place to stay for your experience in one of the most beautiful parts of the Rocky Mountains.

Patricia Barberio purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Patricia Barberio chose Glacier Park

When I first visited NW Montana in Dec 2001, I fell in love with the Columbia Mountain Range. I was not able to find a home in this area at that time. I had visited this property a few times in the past and had purchased a few horses from the original owners. When those folks moved on, I jumped at the chance to place an offer on the home and property. This has been my 'Haven' ever since.

What makes this cabin unique

This Log Cabin was built in the 80's and was the original home on the parcel. Having the horse pastures close make for a very special view upon awakening - to see the horses grazing or staring at the house for me to come outside and feed them. Turkeys roost in the tall pine trees and an occasional fox has been known to trot by.

Guestbook comments from the manager

The cabin was great! Loved the touch of flowers on the table. We had a wonderful vacation. Will definitely recommend your site to our friends.

Everything we needed for a getaway with the dogs.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to stay in the Flathead valley with the dogs, and this ended up being perfect. The cabin is clean and has everything that you could need to be comfortable. In fact, the bed was so comfy that on a rainy morning we were tempted to stay in it all day.

You are close to Whitefish and the park and had no problem finding our way around.

The family that lives there were warm and welcoming and very helpful.

We hope to be back soon

Fantastic Cabin near Entrance

  • 4 of 5

It was such a pleasure staying in this cabin. It was exactly as described and was easy to locate. The cabin had everything that was needed for a family of four. Very roomy, the outside area was neat and kept. My little girls even ran around in the sprinklers that were sent for the grounds. We were so happy to be close to the entrance of the park.

(P.S. I know the review is overdue, but truly, it was a spectacular cozy home and I really wanted to leave kind remarks, even if the trip happened almost a year ago!)

Lovely Cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here during our two week Glacier National Park adventure. The queen bed was very comfortable. Two of my children slept on the futon bed. They had no complaints. Our youngest child slept on a toddler-size air mattress that we brought from home. The area was lovely and peaceful. Patty was a wonderful hostess. She made my entire family feel incredibly at home, including our dog! The cabin was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with all the basics. My children can't wait to go back to Glacier and visit Patty! Thank you so much for making our stay so comfortable.

A cute and convenient cabin

  • 5 of 5

Patty's cabin is exactly as she describes it. It is very well outfitted, and our stay was comfortable. Our two young children were able to share the futon, and thus it worked for the four of us. It would be crowded if the kids were bigger and needed there own beds. It is a perfect amount of "off the beaten path" yet easily within reach of downtown Columbia falls. There is a great enclosed area for the dog right behind the cabin. Patty was a great host; offering herself if we needed yet leaving us to our own thing. I would recommend the cabin to friends and family as well as seek it myself on a future trip to the area.

Wonderful, convenient & cozy!

  • 5 of 5

We found the accommodations to be all we hoped for and matching the description well. Patty offers a clean, cozy cabin with all the basic amenities for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed meeting her and her dogs and horses. We appreciated the privacy and quiet as she offers just this one cabin for rental. It was convenient to Glacier, Whitefish and Bigfork. We would definitely return!
