About Adam

I grew up in Chestnut Hill, MA - a suburb located about 15 minutes West of Boston. After graduating from Boston University, I started my career in marketing in New York City. It was in NYC where I met my future wife, Nicole. Though we both loved NYC, we knew we were ready for a change. When Nicole got accepted into the Kellogg Business School at Northwestern, it was apparent that Chicago would be our next destination. Shortly after our arrival in Chicago, Nicole and I got married. And in October of 2012 we had our first child Julian, or 'Jude' - inspired by my adoration of the Beatles. We love Chicago (although we miss NYC) and we're fortunate to have family in the Chicago area with whom we're very close.

Adam purchased this house in 2000

Why Adam chose Martha's Vineyard

Each year for the past 15 years, we anxiously await the arrival of the warm New England months to embark upon our summer get-away. Despite growing up in the western suburbs of Boston, I hadn't actually visited Martha's Vineyard until well into adulthood. Many of my summers were spent at Summer camp in the Berkshires. During high school and college, perhaps due to my family's NY roots, we tended to vacation in the Hamptons over the summers. So, it wasn't until my mother bought the property in 2000 that I fell in love with the Island and subsequently this home. The home with it's spacious floor plan and warm, island aesthetic has provided family, friends, and guests with lots of fond summer memories. And with the recent arrival of our first child, Julian, we look forward to creating more memories for our growing family.

Wonderful family holiday on MV

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful and relaxing holiday at this wonderful spot nestled in Vineyard Haven. We walked to town and to the beach. We watched boats in the harbor, ate ice cream and found fabulous fresh fish at the market to bbq in the yard and totally loved the outdoor shower! We arrived to a clean and well equipped abode. It was private and comfy and convenient! Loved our stay and will come back again!

Great location, home away from home, island life

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriends and I with two friends rented the house for a weekend in October. The house was adorable and in walking distance from the main street of the town! When we arrived it was clean and had great kitchenware options for cooking many different meals including a pot large enough to cook lobster dinners right at home! The beds were very comfortable and to top it off the outdoor shower had great privacy, was very clean, warm, and tranquil. I would definetly come back to this house or recommend it to a friend in the future.

Peace, quiet and comfort on Martha's Vineyard

This is a very comfortable well equipped house that can easily sleep 8 or more guests. The outside deck is great. We were visited every morning by a wild turkey and her chick. There are lots of them that live nearby. But don't forget to bring your own towels. They are not provided.

There is a washing machine and dryer, high speed internet, good cable TV.

The walk to Tilbury center is about half a mile. The walk to the West Chop lighthouse is about a mile.

Oak Bluffs seems to be the hot town on the island for nightlife. Edgartown was where we went to eat at Seafood Shanty a couple of times and for a sunset sail on Mad Max's catamaran. But the night we went out the fog rolled in and we didn't see very much.

We visited the nature preserves at Long Point and Chappaquiddick. Nice walks but not a lot of birds or wildlife to see in early June. You will definitely want to take your car or a bike to Chappy. Distances are too far to walk.

Overall, this is a great base for a stay on Martha's Vineyard. Highly recommended. We'd stay there again if we come back to the Vineyard.

Great location. Cozy and comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

we love our visits to MV. So much to do. Kayaking, fishing, hiking, great biking trails, beach time and swimming, great YMCA close by for working out, shopping, golf, sailing, great Restuarants, farmers market, barbecues, The Net Results. And this house is a perfect base for all of that. Or, just relaxing in the hammock in the back yard or rocking on the front deck with a good book. Quiet neighborhood with wild turkeys wandering through the yard. We plan to come back often.
