2 Bedroom 1 Bath Cottage (Both bedrooms are open lofts)
About Pam Cunningham
Growing up in Ct, I spent alot of time vacationing in Maine and always wanted a home here. I absolutely love the area and am so happy to share this beautiful part of the country with my guests.
Pam Cunningham purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Pam Cunningham chose Boothbay
I love the peace, serenity, and the interaction with nature. There is an osprey nest on Perch Island, and many types of ducks, gulls and birds that feed here. The tides are amazing and the view changes constantly. The sunsets are absolutely breathtaking and the only other houses you see are across the water. I also like the fact that the waters of the bay are very functional and usable. One can boat, fish, swim and kayak. The dock is huge!
What makes this Cottage unique
The dock here is really like a pier. It juts out into the middle of the cove to the deepwater, so we don't have to worry about timing the tides for boating kayaking or swimming. The views are just spectacular!

Absolutely delightful cottage on the ocean
Seaglass Cottage was a lovely place to stay. It is RIGHT on the ocean, with fantastic views of the water from every room. The cottage is as cute as one can be, like a little jewel box. The place was very clean, and really well stocked. We usually bring some kitchen tools, supplies & spices with us, because we love to cook. There was no need to bring anything extra!
We were so pleased that the yard, dock and chairs were all for us, and it was very private. We got many hours of pleasure watching the wildlife at low tide and on Perch Island. Kayaking off the path was so easy at any tide level. And the dock is fantastic - really well built and maintained.
We would recommend the cottage to anyone.
Some reviewers noted that the bathroom was too small. Personally, I loved all the idiosyncrasies, and thought the scale was completely charming. We do not look for luxury when we vacation, but we do look for high quality and an experience that takes us away from our workaday lives. This cottage rental was perfect for that! Thanks to the owner for her warm welcome and attentiveness.
A beautiful cottage on the water in a wonderful central location. Had everything you could want.
This is a beautiful cottage right on the water with an awesome dock for coffee, reading, cocktails and fun. The cottage is well equipped for everything. It can be a quiet get away, family fun or a great girls retreat. The towels and linens are first class. Bed we slept in was awesome. The views are incredible and the cottage is beautifully decorated for the area. We totally enjoyed our stay. Thanks Kelly and Pam.
Wonderful week in Maine
From dawn to dusk, a great location to spend one’s vacation. We loved the cottage with its many windows and great views of the bay. Sunsets were a special treat. The location was close to all the places that make mid coast Maine a great place to visit. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. Kelly was very helpful with anything we needed. We had a wonderful week!
Quaint Cottage - Beautiful Views!
Pros: We very much enjoyed our week at SeaGlass Cottage. The cottage has beautiful views, gorgeous sunsets and is appointed with pretty much everything you need, and more than I expected. The kitchen is well equipped dish soap, paper towels, dish towels, plates, bowls, cups, drinking glasses, cutting knives, chip clips, pots and pans. Never once did I say I wish I had xxx when it came to preparing a meal. They welcomed us with a nice bottle of Prosecco and there was coffee and filters so that we could at least get a cup of coffee in us before we headed out for groceries. Other items of need were also thoughtfully considered (beach towels, bug spray, binoculars, books, games, area sightseeing info...). Nice seating inside and out, for the space. It is nicely decorated and every space is efficiently used.
Cons: The size of the cottage was fine for the 2 of us. I'm used to larger living spaces, so more people would have been too much for me, unless they were a couple of small children. The bathroom is tiny. It was my least favorite part of this cottage. The other thing you need to keep in mind is that the cabin is not insulated. That was fine for the time of year we visited, but I can only imagine that on really hot or really cold days, it could be challenging to heat or cool. There is a heat/cool wall unit that had a thermostat upstairs. On cooler mornings we used the stand alone heaters downstairs to knock the off the chill, which worked well for the temps we encountered.
Overall, we have fond memories of our visit to SeaGlass Cottage. If you want accessibility to water sports and beautiful views, this is the place!
Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. I’m so glad that you enjoyed the cottage and the exceptional views! We try very hard to make our cottage beautiful and comfortable and to provide you with everything you might need while on vacation... thank you for noticing! The bathroom is indeed very small and I would agree that it is the least desireable part of the cottage.... although it does have a rather large 48” wide shower. You are also correct that there is no insulation, but there are double walls and we do have a Mitsubishi mini-split heating and cooling system. Because it sits up high, it is challenging to get the heat down to the lower level, so we provide additional heaters to supplement it. It does, however, do an excellent job of keeping the cottage very cool in the summer. The system also has a dehumidifier which keeps the cottage dryer than most that are situated on the edge of the water, like this one. It was a pleasure meeting you both. Thanks again and I hope you consider staying with us again in the future.
Great location with a million dollar view. Very private, comfortable cottage
We felt at home and relaxed within 10 minute of our arrival. Bald eagles, osprey, ducks, gulls, kingfisher, heron, schools of fish and seals right in front of us. A beautiful deck and dock on the water to enjoy reading, swimming or fishing with cool breezes. Each day had a beautiful sunset that we enjoyed sometimes while cooking our local lobster and seafood. Great restaurants within easy commute and our walks at ocean point just down the road were amazing. Kelly and Pam were great hosts.
Thank you so much for staying with us and for writing this wonderful review! We’re so glad that you enjoyed the cottage and all of the natural beauty that surrounds it. You guys got on Maine time fast....It was a pleasure hosting you!
All the Best,
A breath of fresh air!
The house couldn’t be more perfectly situated and really well equipped. The view was spectacular. Kelly was a terrific host, so helpful and accommodating. We have two young girls who loved doing running leaps off the dock. It’s very cozy.
Seaglass Cottage is a peaceful retreat surrounded by water and nature, yet is only 4 miles from all of the action in Boothbay Harbor. The location is also a great home base for daytrips. Within an hour are Camden, Rockland, the Pemaquid Penninsula, Freeport and many beaches and lighthouses. We are also about halfway between Boston and Bar Harbor.
