Location, Location, Location

This apartment was perfect for us. 3 things are very important to us when we travel... a comfortable bed, clean accommodation and a new residential experience. This apartment had it all. We have traveled to Charleston for many years now. Long weekends to enjoy the food and history. This residence is in the heart of historic Charleston, yet just about 3 blocks from the busy tourist and shopping area of Market and King Street, which is a wonderful bonus. For us at least! We discovered 2 new restaurants. The Blind Tiger Pub which is just across the street and 1Broad. Down on the corner. 2 places we will definitely go to next time we are in town.

This space is a comfortable size, for how much time do you spend in the rooms anyway? Should be out walking and taking in the glorious sights. The kitchen is tight, but we just used it to prepare most breakfasts. It worked for us.

I would recommend this apartment and we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful historic Charleston South Carolina

Great location in the heart of the historic district. There is no parking anywhere in this area. However there are choices for parking garages and parking lots. Most of them are fairly expensive but, we found a little gym between State Street and E. Bay St. on Cumberland. It’s a small parking garage that only charges eight dollars per night instead of the usual 30. It’s worth going in there. The apartment was very clean, the bed is very comfortable, there are enough kitchen utensils and dishware and toilet paper ticket by four or four days. There is Apple TV so you can watch movies of your choice as well as regular TV. We will definitely consider staying here again the next time in Charleston.

Not at all what I expected!!

Pictures were deceiving. Furniture (chair) was all torn on the arm. Bedroom closet was off the track - mirror foggy -large wet stain appeared in "dining" room - emailed owner - no response - door leading to balcony very hard to open - balcony almost afraid to sit outside - wood appeared to be rotting. Would never recommend this to anyone. If I had not been to Charleston before, I would never return. Charming it was not.

Owner's Response: We are so sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Yes we do have a rip in one of our armchairs, on the "arm". We have a nice (Frette) blanket there so your arm can still be comfy. The mirror in the bedroom is antique glass, which has a "foggy" appearance. If you are not familiar, it's a decorative touch used by many designers. I am sorry the closet door was off track, I had our handyman go by and click it back in. As for the wet stain, a recent renter left a cooler in that spot and it leaked onto the seagrass run causing a stain that will not come out. We don't want to replace the entire carpet at this time for the relatively small wet spot. We love our little place! The location cannot be beat...or the price. We like to think our guests are mostly outside enjoying all that Charleston has to offer. We hope you didn't let your dissatisfaction inhibit your "Charleston experience." We have a wonderful city!

Great location in downtown Charleston

Very clean and spacious apartment in the heart of historic downtown Charleston. Garage parking conveniently close by. We parked our car and didn’t use it. Everything is walking distance. Great restaurants and bars close by and a short stroll to the waterfront park.

Amazing location, perfect for a long weekend!

The apartment is located right in the heart of Historic Charleston, which made walking the city very easy and enjoyable. We didn't spend much time in the apartment, but it was very clean and had plenty of room for two of us for a long weekend. A very cute little back deck overlooking the patio was a beautiful way to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. I highly recommend staying here, and will look to rent it again when we come back!

This little apartment was perfect! Just enough space for 2 and in a great location!

Host was extremely helpful and accommodating. Would 100% recommend staying at Pied-A-Terre! Cannot wait to visit again!
