Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for the wonderful way you welcomed us to your lovely home. It was perfect for entertaining our guests and the bridal party. The lovely gardens and patio, the game room and the sleeping accomodations made our daughters special day really special.

We hope to return for other special events.

Wonderful quiet location in historic St Augustinw

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at Rose Cottage for a week, which went by too quickly. The cottage is part of a larger residential property complex between historic St Augustine and the water. It is within walking distance of the Old Trolley stop. The property owner lived in the complex, but gave us plenty of space and was very friendly and helpful. Parking was right outside the entrance door to the cottage.

The cottage itself was comfortable and quiet. While the weather was never extreme during our stay, the heating and ventilation system worked well. The only problem we had was our internet connection became a bit iffy the last day or two. I suspect that was due to communication between our cottage router and the router bringing in the internet from the outside. But then, we were on vacation, and had no vital need for internet access every moment. Two televisions, both worked fine.

This is a lovely neighborhood. If I were ever to move to Florida, St Augustine would be on the top of my list, and the Rose Cottage neighborhood would be where I would look first. Thank you Patricia for a lovely stay.

Owner's Response: I love having our guests enjoy the cottage and being able to offer off street parking for them. The convenience to the Trolley works well for our guests. Although we live in the house close by the grounds are large enough to roam about without interfering with our guests and we offer them as much privacy as they wish while wanting to be helpful to them. I really enjoyed your stay. Our neighborhood is truly unique, and I love hearing that our guests enjoy it as much as we do!

Great location, great space

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights with our 6 and 8 year old boys. The cottage was easy to find, clean, and had just the right amount of space for us. Located just outside the car and foot traffic made this the perfect spot...there was no noise from neighbors or cars but it was a short walking distance to the fort and shops. We didn't use our car at all while we were there and the covered spot was a great place to leave it the whole time. We had no problems communicating with Patricia. She greeted as we arrived and gave us some recommendations then left us alone the remainder of our stay. We would recommend this cozy cottage.

Owner's Response: So glad we are close to everything, especially with family with little ones. They can play in the Fort, run about until they are worn out and back for a nap if needed. Then, off again, no need to drive about. The elders love it too, easy stroll to downtown and restaurants. Great guests this year! Hope for more of the same in 2018. Happy New Year Ya'all!

Great cottage

  • 5 of 5

We parked when arriving in St Augustine and never had to drive until we left town! It’s a real plus to have a parking space...parking can be an issue in the area! The cottage is clean and neat. The owner is great to work with too!

Owner's Response: I love seeing my guests happy! Parking is certainly an issue in our little town but the off street parking for our guests is certainly part of a good experience for them. I also pride myself on the cleanliness and comfort of the cottage. I want my guests to be happy!

We became quite the inconvenience to the hostess and her driveway with unexpected extra guests, but Patricia's preparedness and patience saved our weekend! Thank you for your hospitality, Patricia--we look forward to staying in one of your properties again!

Wonderful Little Cottage in a Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage during our recent trip to St Augustine. There was plenty of room for the three of us and the Cottage had everything we needed for our long weekend visit to the area. The Cottage is located within walking distance of all the great sights to see in this great little city and is in a quiet neighborhood. For those who like to prepare a few meals versus always dining out, the kitchen is stocked with all the necessary pots, pans, dishes, and utensils to do so. We are already planning on returning to Rose Cottage on future visits!
