Spectacular mountain views ! 6 acres of privacy !
GREAT SERVICE - GREAT QUALITY - BEST RATES!!
John Denver didn’t stay here but he should have! The views from this private, 6-acre retreat are spectacular: Across the beautiful valley, guests can see the landmark “Hall’s Top Mountain”, and off in the distance stand the mountains bordering North Carolina.
Don’t be surprised to see lots of wildlife during your stay, as Mountain High is a popular place for deer, turkey, birds of all kinds, and even an occasional bear!
Mountain High’s rustic charm will remind guests of the pioneer days in Southern Appalachia, with rough sawn timber and antiques throughout.
And guests will enjoy all of Mountain High’s modern amenities, too, including the stone gas fireplace, full kitchen, and sunken hot tub.
Mountain High is easily accessed by car, as the roads and driveway are paved. Shopping, gas, and eating are only 5 minutes away.

Awesome view and super cute and rustic! Definitely come back in the near future😀
The cabin was immaculate and so cozy, location surprisingly on a mountain just a few miles above the town which had a wide variety of stores/eateries, and a view to die for! It is approximately 45 minutes to Gaitlinburg depending on whether you stop at one of the Distilleries or Orchards along the way.
We really enjoyed the seclusion of the cabin. We had a bear visitor during the night! Loved the porch with its rockers and swing. We even turned on the fireplace in the morning although it was 68 degrees. The jacuzzi was very clean and one of the reasons why we rented this cabin. The beds were comfortable, the futon fine for a couch but as a bed, probably better for children! The kitchen had a fridge, stove/oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot and 4 slice toaster. Also pots/pans and lots of utensils...
We had NO complaints and would rent it again. As we stayed only 2 nights and went out for all meals, it did not bother us but future renters need to be aware that there is no food/condiments at all in the cabin (sugar, salt, pepper etc). All food/spices/condiments need to be brought and taken back by the visitors.... Probably to deter the bears!!! ;)
Overall, a fantastic cabin with a fantastic location!
This place had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway! Beautiful views, cozy fireplace, great hot tub, we enjoyed our time here!! Our night visitor ( black bear), gave us something to tell the grandkids!! Thank you for sharing your sweet cabin!!
We had a great time and the cabin met our needs. The only problem was the road to the cabin. It is narrow and caution must be followed when driving up the mountain.
Thanks for the comfortable cabin. We'll be back.
Suitable for 3 couples (2 baths). Kitchen is simple but functional. Cabin was clean, linens good, beds comfortable, wifi and Dish TV- what more could you ask?
Liked how <10 mins down the hill is Lowes, Walmart, restaurants. Don't worry, you can't see any of that from cabin. Thanks again.
First let me say I was bummed when I learned how far this cabin really is from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (approx. 35 miles) and then once I visited those busy tourist towns I was SO thankful to come back home to this cozy cabin surrounded by nature and peace and quiet. My kids and I couldn't wait to get back to the deck where we ate all but 1 meal outside and then soak in the hot tub after our long days. My kids are young, only 10 and 12 but they appreciated the old time decorations and truly felt at home. The only down fall I had at the cabin is the shower head in the main bath and the grill really has seen better days. Those 2 small items would NOT keep me from coming back though! You won't be disappointed in this cabin. My daughter swears she heard a bear one night outside but was too afraid to open the curtains to look so I don't really know if one was out there or not. We did have a couple lizard friends on the deck during the day. All in all, a great cabin, great vacation and if we come back to TN I'm definitely checking this cabin out again. Thank you!
