This one-story, three-bedroom home is surrounded by a lush tropical garden and has a vast patio and pool area in the very private backyard. Handsomely furnished, beautifully landscaped, and conveniently located (just steps from Smathers Beach), this home is truly “Paradise Perfected.”
***This home is available for lease by the month, in accordance with local ordinances strictly enforced by the City of Key West. The minimum lease is for 27 nights in February and for 29 nights during any other period.
The Casa Marina East district of Old Town Key West is a quiet, mostly residential neighborhood on the southern side of the island. Just one block from the beginning of Smathers beach off Atlantic blvd, and just down the street from Higgs Beach, “Paradise Perfected” is a dream for beach-lovers who prefer to pack their coolers and towels and walk the few steps down to the sand and water. Watch the sunset from Smathers beach or the white st pier just around the corner. Take the short stroll to salute for a beachside meal, or bike ride down to duval st or the historic seaport for the most popular key west attractions.
THE POOL & GROUNDS...
As you enter through the door of the front wall facing the street, you will find a tropical garden with a brick walkway leading up to and around the sides of the house. Turn to your right and follow the house around to pass the outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off after the beach. Keep walking around to the back yard to find one of the true highlights of this home. Several outdoor seating areas, both in the sun and in the shade, as well as comfortable chaise lounges and lovely tropical greenery surround a gorgeous architecturally designed heated pool. You can really live outside in this back yard, with plenty of space that gets great sunlight all day. When you’ve had enough sun, have a drink on the patio in the shade and cook a meal on the state-of-the art propane grill.
THE LIVING AREA & KITCHEN...
This home is handsomely furnished, and the living area is certainly luxurious, with plenty of space to spread out. A huge flat-screen tv with surround sound speakers sits in front of beautiful, plush leather couches. The kitchen is just off the living area, with stainless steel appliances and all of the tools and equipment you will need to create a gourmet meal. The dining area is just across from the kitchen, with space for up to six diners at the dining table.
In the back of the house there is an office with a large sectional couch and a built in desk. This room has french doors that open up the back yard, creating a great open space to get some work done while enjoying the breeze. This room can also be converted to a fourth bedroom upon request.
This one-story home has all three bedrooms on the first floor, yet they are spread out in a way that gives everyone in the house plenty of space. The master bedroom sits off the wing off of the kitchen/dining area, on the opposite end of the house from the other two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a King bed, a large flat-screen TV, plenty of dresser and closet space, and a ceiling fan. The master bathroom is en-suite, with a floating glass sink and beautiful tile & glass shower.
The second and third bedrooms are located on a wing on the opposite side of the dining/living area. The second bedroom has a Queen sized bed, a large flat screen tv, plenty of dresser and closet space, and a ceiling fan. The third bedroom has a Queen sized bed, a flat screen tv, and a ceiling fan. These two bedrooms share the hall bathroom, which is a very unique design. The bathroom has dual sinks and mirrors set over a “floating” cabinet. Pass through to the shower, which is tiled with stone and has a rainfall showerhead. There is a door leading directly from the shower out to the pool area, perfect for washing off after a swim or a day at the beach.
Top of the line washer & dryer in separate, functional laundry room with sink, central heat and a/c, ceiling fans in every room, gated & lushly landscaped backyard with private heated pool, propane BBQ grill, flat screen cable tvs in living room & all bedrooms, gourmet kitchen, linens and towels provided. Interim housekeeping provided upon request. Wireless high-speed internet access. This property will accommodate up to 8 adults with the conversion of the office to a fourth bedroom upon request.

The house is beautiful and very clean. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and eating. The backyard and the pool is great, the pictures do it no justice! We had a fantastic stay here, it is walking distance to 2 great beaches and a few bars and restaurants, we even walked to Duval street, but it is a 1.2 mile walk! The house is perfect for a nice long stay in Key West, its well worth the price.
Paradise Perfected was beautiful and made for a very relaxing month away from home and an escape from a dreary winter. The weather could not have been better - mid-70's to 80's the entire time. It was a 5-minute walk to Smathers Beach, which has a beautiful, sandy beach. We took 1.5-mile walks with our Labrador Retriever, who loved it there as well, down Atlantic Blvd. (right on our corner) to the Memorial and Pier, which was so peaceful and also explored the surrounding neighborhood, which was great. The house was well laid out and equipped. It allowed one to have guests but also for everyone to have their privacy. It was a good place to do office work in the study, as well relaxing by the pool and reading a recreational book. We visited Louie's Backyard for elegant dinners as well as Casa Marina's restaurant and many great restaurants in Old Town, which was only a 10-minute drive away, as well as a ferry ride to Sunset Key to visit Latitudes Restaurant. We made many trips to the Boardwalk near Duval Street, for a drink on the pier or great shopping and lunch or dinner. Great fun was had by all. I recommend this property highly to anyone -you will not be disappointed. The property was clean and well-maintained by the great Staff at Last Key Realty - they provided us with all our needs. They manage their properties professionally and with a great deal of skill and have many resources available to them. I also highly recommend the staff at Last Key Realty, who were there for our every need. We loved the month and intend to return very soon.
Last Key Realty is THE place to go to when renting in Key West. It starts with Alex, she knows all the properties and works with you on your taste. Dina takes care of all the logistics and then there is Shel. Shel meets you when you arrive and walks you through the house and is there for any issue. Shel makes your stay very pleasant.
Now about the house: very clean and updated furnishings. If you've stayed in Key West before there are many houses that have the old wicker furniture and old kitchens. Not this place, nice modern leather furnishings in the living room with large flat screen TV (and HD). Each of the bedrooms have very similar furniture along with flat screen TVs. Each bathroom is updated, especially the guest bathroom - it has a rainfall shower head along with a hand-held shower head. The master bedroom is on one side of the house so very nice privacy along with it's own bathroom which is updated and modern.
The kitchen is very nice with stainless appliances and granite countertops and nicely supplied with all the cooking utensils needed.
The pool gets great sunlight from late morning to afternoon. Great to have your coffee in the morning on the covered patio overlooking the pool.
Outside the house is a lush tropical garden and very well maintained. One off street parking spot comes with the house but if you're in Key West, a car is not needed.
The location of the house is a 5 minute walk from Higgs Beach but we recommend bikes. We got them from Eaton Bikes - they deliver and pick up at your convenience. The house is a 8 minute bike ride from the south end of Duval.
We highly recommend this residence because it fits what we do in Key West. Our day's start around 8 am with a coffee, bike ride to Hog's Breath for our morning adult beverage with the world's greatest bar tender, Stephanie, check her out, too. We then head to beach, pool, shopping, afternoon adult beverage or whatever else we want.
Even though my husband and I were only visiting Key West for Business and we worked long hours every day and night without one day off with our crew of men staying at the home in George Street was a true paradise. To come home after a long day of physical labor and be able to be surrounded by a lush garden along side a spacious pool was relaxing and a true escape from the long days. Have a beer and barbeque pool side felt like we were truly enjoying Island living. The neighbors were quite and never minded if we let out a good laugh or played music and socialized amongst each other. The locals are extremely laid back. This home decor is like something out of a magazine and everything you will need is available and if not available everything is within a five to 10 minute drive. The airport is but a 25 minute walk. The beach, less than five minute walk. Duval street within a 8 to 10 min drive. There is simply nothing negative about our stay. Above all the hospitality given by Sheldon from Last Key Realty and Lori, is truly unmatched. They without a doubt care that your stay is one to remember. Sheldon aka "Shel" was always there with just a quick text or call, he always made one feel he was just there only for us. A pool guy and gardener would come weekly without fail for our almost five week stay. You would barely hear them enter and depart. They also would throw out the trash without ever being heard or seen. Stealth like service! Last Key Realty has surpassed our expectations and the home is one of the most well decorated, clean, home away from homes we have ever had the opportunity of enjoying to the hilt. Looking forward to many more days in Key West in the future but with hopefully just for pleasure an no WORK! :) Viva PARADISE PERFECTED!!! I highly recommend this home!
