Newly remodeled one bedroom with a queen size bed, full living room with a double reclining sofa, cable flat screen TV, fully stocked kitchen with dining area, bathroom with a tub with shower, and a laundry room with washer and dryer. Front porch with swing looks over the golf course and there is room to park a boat or trailer. All the floors are tiled and everything is fresh and clean.
This is a duplex unit with two rental units. There is a garage on either end of the building that is used to store and charge golf carts at night. The carts are stored in the garages at the close of business, around dark, and are removed, if needed, in the morning around 7AM. Every effort is made to do this quitely, and most guests never hear the carts being removed. Guests are asked to park partway down the driveway to allow room to remove carts.
If you are looking for a quiet comfortable stay, this is the place. Clean and well furnished it quietly overlooks the golf course. Dunnellen is a small but growing community that provides about everything one would need within a ten minute drive. We found a number of excellent casual restaurants with very reasonable prices. The owners are readily available if you have questions or concerns.
We'll be back!!! For us, this property was great. It is a quiet location off the beaten path with nice, newer, quiet accommodations for a fair price. Although it is a 2 unit property, we never heard the people next door. The stars were great and there is nobody around at night. If looking for excitement, you might prefer to be in town.
- We got a great deal on all-day golf (the golf course IS your front yard). While the 9 hole par 36 course is not very well manicured, it is good test, while being playable, cheap and not crowded.
- The food store is within 5 minutes and downtown is within 10 minutes. For food you can cook in the full kitchen, eat at the golf shop or drive to one of several good restaurants in town.
This is such a lovely place to stay! It's clean, has everything you need or want, and it's all decorated and stocked just like the nicest hotel - but with pretty and personal touches added. If you're going for a longer-term stay, you'll be able to make it your own because the personal touches aren't overdone, and there is no clutter, it's very professional in appearance. Everything works as it should and there were no problems while I was there, 2-1/2 months.
The owners of this property are the nicest people you'll ever meet, accessible if you need them and let you be the rest of the time; they live off-site. The golf course where the property is located has the pro shop open every day if you need anything, too. Everyone there is super nice!
I will definitely stay here again, and I would recommend it to anyone!
Don't miss Rainbow Springs, across the road, and Penn Station in town for GREAT Cuban food and sandwiches!
Linda is a pleasure to deal with. We didn't expect much for the price, but were pleasantly surprised. The A/C was cold, everything was emaculate and the view was awesome. Everything that you would expect to find in a home was there.
We enjoyed our stay in the little house. It was VERY clean. Everything worked great. The yard was well kept. Property was dark at night, just leave a light on when coming home after dark. We would recommend this property to anyone. We did have a problem with the cable, once the owners were aware of it they took care of it immediately! The owners were easy to get in contact with. Glad we stayed there!
We drove north from home (about two hours) on a Friday evening at the tail-end of tropical storm, and then hurricane, Hermine for Labor Day weekend. We ended up with storm-related problems with all the utilities. Don and Linda were easily accessible, very nice, and quick to address and correct, or report, the issues.
The villa is cute, reasonably priced, well-maintained, and clean. It's the right size for two people. It is close to the Rainbow River State Park and the K.P. Hole county park. It is not far from town, but is in a pretty setting in the country on a golf course. We would recommend it.
Our rental unit is located on a par 36 nine hole golf course and driving range. Golfers can use a cart or walk anytime. There are many more golf courses to try within a short drive.
We are located about 1 mile from the Rainbow Springs State Park, headwaters to the Rainbow River. This is one of the most beautiful natural springs in Florida, providing swimming, picnic tables and hiking trails.Rental canoes, kayaks and tubes are available for the 5 mile trip down the crystal clear Rainbow River from many vendors in the area.
The Ocala area is home to over 1,000 horse farms, making it a beautiful area to drive the scenic roads or stop at the farms open for tour. Horseback riding is available at many stables.
All the major attractions in Orlando or Tampa are about 100 miles from Dunnellon.
