About Mike and Laura Mouw
I'm an emergency physician by trade, and live with my wife and two daughters in Austin, Texas.
Mike and Laura Mouw purchased this Townhouse in 2004
Why Mike and Laura Mouw chose Crested Butte
I started coming to CB in 1992 to ski, and enjoyed it so much I kept coming back. When we started looking at real estate, it soon became clear that the place to be was in town (vs. up in Mt CB) close to restaurants, shopping, parks, and summer festivities. Although there's no denying that ski-in, ski-out is convenient in the winter, being in town is more convenient overall. The 10-minute bus ride to the slopes is so short as to be inconsequential. And most people come down into town from Mt. CB to eat at night...so you can choose to ride the bus up in the morning to ski, or choose to ride it down at night to eat out/ shop.
What makes this Townhouse unique
Conveniently located in town, just two blocks from the free shuttle that takes you on the short ride to the ski area, this duplex condo is an easy five to ten minute walk from Elk Avenue restaurants and shopping. It's four blocks from the town park/playscape where outdoor concerts are held. The Purple Mountain Lodge B&B is right next door if extra beds are needed. Kid-Friendly: Our kids loved it, and yours will too! It's 1/2 block from a brand new modern playscape with climbing boulder, and 1/2 mile from a BMX park.
Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.
Nice place for family
Nice place for our family of 5. Close to town and park
This home is comfortable and well stocked with everything you need. Great location as well. Close to mountain shuttle and an easy walk to Elk St.
Family friendely place to stay.
We had a very good stay for spring break. Short walk to the bus and lift was nice. Last stop heading up and 1st stop back into town. Back home in minutes. House was very clean and manager attentive. We left a GoPro and she shipped it to us the next day. Only negative... Furnature is miss match dated. They have lots of old VHS and DVD but no players. Cool place none the less, bring your ipad to watch netflix or your own media for family time. Would book agian for sure.
Thanks for your stay at our home and for your review. We are sorry you felt the furniture was dated. We have recently purchased new living room furniture (including leather chairs) and dining table chairs. We like a shabby chic look so maybe our tastes just differ :) Appreciate the feedback about the VHS, we are behind on clearing out those since its outdated technology. You can access streaming media services on our living room tv using our smart tv or on your own devices. Thanks again for your stay!
Beautiful home! Great place to stay!
This home was lovely. They had all of the amenities needed. It was close to the mountain express shuttle stop and close to main street. We loved it!
Great house..perfect location for enjoying Crested Butte.
Definitely as advertised. Comfortable living space and beds. Loved having decks for relaxing outside. We were in CB for our daughter's wedding. 6 adults shared the house and it worked well. Adults in the loft area will definitely hear guests in the living room and kitchen area, so a good idea to put early risers in that room. No problems at all.
Great Home, Great Location
We had a great stay in Crested Butte! This home was perfect for our family - warm, cozy, comfortable, great location, walking and biking distance to everything. The home was spotless when we arrived, the kitchen has everything you needed for cooking meals, great outside spaces for relaxing in the sun and plenty of room to store bikes and outdoor toys.
Winter: our place is 2 blocks from the last free shuttle stop before the ski area, max 10 min ride to lifts. So you're the last on, and the first off.
