About Kay or Glenn Dunn
Your hosts, Kay and Glenn Dunn, want your stay at Pond Mountain Inn to be a memorable, enriching experience. Since assuming ownership of this quintessential Vermont bed and breakfast in October 2013, they have made thoughtful changes that retain the tradition and character of this exact replica of a 1800s Eyebrow Cape. These thoughtful improvements enable them to satisfy their guests’ highest standards and to confirm their commitment to extraordinary service and accommodations not normally found outside Dorset or Manchester. Worldwide travelers for the past twenty years, Kay and Glenn have accumulated over five thousand night stays in hotels spread across five continents. This experience has informed their understanding of the attentive service and distinctive amenities that produce positive customer experiences. Thus, they are dedicated to offering their guests the same kind of service and experience they expect. It is their wish that every guest feels at home from the first moment of arrival to the (hopefully regretful) time of departure. Glenn and Kay have been happily married for sixteen years, having met on a flight from Manila to Narita, Japan in August 1996. Kay was a Bangkok-based flight attendant for Northwest Airlines, and Glenn worked as an expatriate living in the Philippines. Three months after their first encounter, they held their first date at Shangri-La Hotel’s Cheval Blanc Restaurant in Manila. They married in Bangkok, Thailand in 1998 at Kay's family residence and again in New Jersey, United States in 2000. Your hosts are honored that you have considered their bed and breakfast, and they are firmly committed to creating a relaxing, comfortable stay for you and your family. Their home is truly your home!

Why Kay or Glenn Dunn chose Wells
We wanted to return to New England and find a traditional antique reproduction home and property with expansive views. Our home rises from a country dirt-road nestled against lush Pond Mountain with dramatic neighboring views of Northeast Mountain – beyond the great lawn the property border to the north has visible remnants of a long-standing farmers stonewall that leads to our neighbor’s beautiful pond, expansive meadows and a distant antique farm house. Our neighbors give us their Araucana or Ameraucana fresh bluish green eggs when available or we simply visit the local farm three miles from the property and pickup fresh milk, eggs and grass fed beef – just farther is where we buy our pure Vermont Maple Syrup. Still farther, we have available an abundance of organic meats, organic fruits & vegetables, artisan bread & cheeses. The experience is indescribable with unique offerings from each small town we visit. I almost expect to see Norman Rockwell standing next to me with his farmers’ basket of produce suitable for his next canvas.
What makes this Cottage unique
The décor at Pond Mountain reflects a New England country style, from the nicely appointed living & dining rooms with original oil paintings and antiques in the Main House to the spacious comfort of the Loft Apartment Suite and Garden Cottage. Enjoy our generous accommodations and marvel at the soaring, uninterrupted views from inside. “We are deeply committed to delivering an unparalleled experience – breakfast and dinner is exquisite and we have spared no expense making your sleeping experience a dream come true.”

Perfect getaway location, accommodation, and property owners
It was such a pleasure to meet Glenn and Kay and have the opportunity to stay in their cottage. It was clean and comfortable, close to Fall fun activities, and a great size for our party of 5. Kay's breakfast was incredible- we didn't leave a crumb behind. Will definitely be back here.
Excellent location for a family, incredible hosts
We called Glenn and Kay in desperation, sometime around 8pm, looking to move rentals immediately. Glenn was more than happy to allow me to stop by and view the location before we moved. I showed up around 9pm, was happy to find it clean and comfortable, and we came the next day.
The location up in the mountain behind Lake Saint Catherine, but just a short 5-10 minute drive from everything. We went to the lake every day, but it sounded like there were experiences in the area that you could participate in. The master bedroom had a closet large enough for our travel crib, and our infant slept soundly. When it was hot, they made sure to put in the air conditioner to make things more comfortable. We were also able to fully use the kitchen, with our baking supplies, to make a cake for our daughter's birthday. The breakfast they provided was superb, and they were able to bring it to the house in the morning. I think this was strategic, so the guests could avoid the noise from our kids.
In general, it was an excellent experience all around with incredible hosts.
Thank you for such an excellent, comprehensive and very fast review! I read your review in the quiet setting of the Dorset Playhouse Theater just before the second act and controlled my laughter after reading your concluding thoughts! In fact, I’m still laughing while writing my response! Of course, our exuberant willingness to bring breakfast down to the cottage was clearly thinly veiled! We very much enjoyed meeting your family and we were absolutely delighted that we were able to accommodate you on such short notice. Thank you for also mentioning Kay’s breakfasts! Now, let me thank you for the most amazing areal drone photograph of Pond Mountain, the two adjacent lakes and the Adirondacks –your photo will appear in our July newsletter that comes out tomorrow! Your photo is so extraordinary that we’re going to offer you a complimentary night’s stay on your next visit! Thank you again for staying with us and thank you for the photograph! All our best – Kay & Glenn
Beautiful cottage amidst the mountains!
The place is as described in the pictures. Very clean and cozy. We loved Kay’s handmade farm to table breakfast. It was absolutely delicious. The hosts Glenn and Kay are very pleasant to talk with and they will ensure that your stay is as smooth as possible. We would love to go back in the fall!

Truly a very special place with very special hosts.
This property is a gem, cozy and warm and beautifully appointed. And the hosts do a wonderful job of making you feel at home and pampered. The farm to table breakfast is a real treat as well.
Relaxing retreat with incredible hospitality
We felt instantly at home in this beautiful cottage. It was very neat and well maintained. The beautiful mountain views and the quiet (you could hear the crickets chirping) was so relaxing and an ideal change.
Glenn and Kay are the warmest people you will meet and they go all the way to ensure that you have the most beautiful stay. Kay is an amazing cook and I still day dream of the fluffiest blueberry pancakes and omelet with fresh garden vegetables, she also cooked up a very yummy vegetarian breakfast that my husband loved.
Glenn was very prompt in all his communication and guided us on local art museums and areas we could explore around.
This is an ideal family getaway, the nearby towns of Dorset and Manchester are nice day trips. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage, playing card games into the night.
We are surely going back maybe next time during fall. Highly recommend Pond Mountain Inn.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review and very kind words. Our farm-to-table ingredients make it easier to serve delicious breakfasts and next week we’ll be out foraging for incredible hen of the woods mushrooms that will go into our omelets. The many interesting experiences so close to the inn are limitless and we’re so happy that in just a few days you were able to see and do so much! Until next time have a great autumn! All our best – Kay & Glenn
Beautiful country inn bed and breakfast
This is a lovely country inn, set in the quintessential Vermont country setting, with wonderful views of the mountains, situated on lovely property. The rooms to rent are spacious and decorated in a cozy, tasteful, rustic manner. Glenn and Kay are very hospitable and informative on things to see and do in the area. The breakfasts are delicious and were served outdoors on their deck. I would highly recommend the Pond Mountain Inn.
Hi Linda, and thank you for the excellent review! It was wonderful having you, your mom, "the girls" and Emma! You all had incredible “lake weather” and many of our guests that have cottages on the Lake St. Catherine love having the flexibility of another space very close by. Hope to see you again next year and have a great summer and fall!
All our best – Kay & Glenn
