Simply the best in Toronto
The house is great for a family or larger group. Fully equipt kitchen, great quiet neighborhood, beautiful flower park closeby and the owner is wonderful to work with.
Thanks for your kind words. We enjoyed having you stay at the property.
Absolutely Loved It!
The owner was very responsive and communicative. He visited the property and though I was out at the time he met with the family to check in our stay the first to ever do so in the years my family and I have rented through VRBO. Two slight, very minor, drawbacks are the internet service was a bit spotty and only two televisions on the property. If I could give the home and neighborhood six(6) stars I would, loved it! I highly recommend this property.
I am glad that you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for your feedback. I just spoke to our High Speed internet provider and they confirmed that we have a 500 mps high speed service. They have a new mesh network available that they will be installing this month at the property to remove any external interference since we are near the lake. This will insure consistency at the high speed for wireless devices.
A great location that served us well.
The home was large with lots of character. The back yard was so much fun to relax in, and for the kids to play hide and seek
We enjoyed our stay in Toronto. Jim’s home was very nice. There were only 6 of us , so there was way more than enough room. All the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals. The girls loved the hot tub. The description said downtown was about 20 minutes away with the horrible traffic it always took us at least 35 minutes but there was a lot of construction. The only thing we were not happy with was the internet , it was extremely slow. Everything else was awesome! We had a lot of fun riding the bikes in the neighborhood, that was very nice to offer the guests use of the bikes .
Myself and a group of friends rented this property at the end of May and we were not disappointed. As soon as we entered the house we were all in awe! It is beautiful, spacious and well kept.
We loved the main lounge/kitchen area as this is where we spent most of our times just hanging out and enjoying the views into the garden. All rooms are spacious and comfortable, - it really felt like a home away from home!
We used the provided bikes to go cycling around the neighbourhood - one of the highlights of our stay as the area is beautiful. We also thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub as well as hosting a game night in the bar area downstairs.
Jim and Linda were very attentive and answered any questions we had promptly! Honestly, if you are thinking of booking this property then do it - you won't be disappointed.
Stunning Reunion Place for the Immediate Family
As an American who did four years’ grad work at University of Toronto, Toronto’s my favorite city in N. America. And Scarborough Bluffs is one of my favorite places in Toronto. So I was delighted when my wife, Susan, suggested this lovely home on Springbank for celebrating my 75th bday. It exceeded expectations. Spacious, gracious, and full of light, with a front porch and back patio that feed long conversations, a kitchen for serious cooks like our family, and a huge dining room that easily accommodates over 12. Plenty of easy parking in the driveway. And Jim, the owner, was attentive and friendly without being obtrusive. We’d definitely come back.
We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Happy 75th.
Parks trails and ravines abound. Step out the front door and you are on Toronto’s Water Front Trail which stretches along Lake Ontario from the Niagara-on –the -Lake region to the St. Lawrence River. Four mountain bikes are provided in the attached garage for your enjoyment to explore the trail and discover the hidden beauty of Toronto’s waterfront.
The Birchmount Community Centre and Variety Village are both a block or two away and offer fitness facilities, large indoor pools and many activities for adults and children all year long. Scarborough Arts Council’s gallery is at the end of the street , as well as Rosetta McClean Park. This 23 acre formal garden has spectacular views of the lake, gorgeous gardens/ old growth trees and is a bird watchers mecca.
A farmers market opens in the summer on weekends and a small shopping area with restaurants, coffee shops and stores are all within a minutes’ walk. Within a kilometre are several grocery stores and retail shops. Public transit is available a block up the street providing convenient access to the subway or street cars. Toronto's downtown is 15 minutes away, Canada's Wonderland is a 30 minutes drive and the Toronto Zoo is 20 minutes away. Walking distance to several restaurants. Great Location for bird watching and nature hikes. Conveniently located to attend the Beaches Jazz Festival and various sporting events including Leafs hockey, Raptors basketball, Argos football and TFC soccer. Several movie theaters and other arts and entertainment facilities are nearby. Visit Toronto, it is a world class city that has so much to offer.
