I was brought up in England but moved to Zurich, Switzerland many years ago. My wife Laura is Italian and our daughter Sophia is growing up with three languages in her life..
Balbir purchased this Apartment in 2008
Why Balbir chose Lucca
We sold our house in the UK to buy a home in Italy. On a cold, wet February morning we walked into Lucca through one of the wall gates and immediately decided this was the place where we wanted a home. We spent almost two years looking for an apartment and were on the verge of giving up when we walked into this one. We knew we had walked into something very special, it really does takes your breath away.

Lovely property! It was in a residential location though and on our 1st night we hadn’t realised that everywhere went quite after 11:30. We had to close the windows so noise didn’t travel, however the property was on the top floor and above where only roof tiles which absorbed the heat during the day, there was only fans to keep cool and this didn’t work. Air con would be nice. It showed a little court yard garden in the write up however we were not able to use as the gate was locked and there was no garden furniture, ( it would of be lovely to be able to use this space to cool down and relax after a busy day ). However a great property lovely location. For us we think it’s best to visit it in spring and autumn. The owners and Emice the housekeeper was lovely and help.. many thanks Cindy
Fabulous apartment in heart of Lucca
This was a fantastic place to stay - tastefully refurbished in a simple yet stylish way. We loved the high beamed ceilings and modern shower rooms. The kitchen had everything we needed and more ! The housekeeper was so helpful and friendly . I would thoroughly recommend this jewel of an apartment.
Centrally located, spacious, clean and comfortable apartment close to transport links.
There was much to see and do during our week long, sunshine filled, September stay in Lucca. Blue Lemon Home proved to be the comfortable, spacious, well equipped and well kept apartment that was advertised and the owner Balbir, and housekeeper Emcie, were very helpful and accommodating. The apartment's location, within the walls, was close to rail and bus transport links which meant day trips to Viareggio and Pietrasanta were made easy. Trips further afield to the likes of Florence, the Garfagnana and Barga are also easily do-able in a day for those not treating the visit as a 'city break'. Local 'pop up' activities, exhibitions and markets kept us engaged and amused by day and by night and the large number of bars and restaurants within easy reach of the apartment meant we were spoilt for choice when either eating out, or just relaxing, enjoying a glass of refreshment. A perfectly acceptable supermarket is just a 3 minute walk away from the apartment so it is easy to stock up with supplies on an as and when basis. Equally as close, is a take away pizza shop that just hits the spot after a busy day on the tourist trail. Despite it's central location, the apartment was a quiet space at night. The main Tourist Information Office is also within easy reach, as is access to the Walls of Lucca, which at times offered cooler air in the heat of the day. Our choice of Blue Lemon Home for our second visit to Lucca proved very good.
A spacious retreat!
This property is lovely and suited me needs perfectly...yes I’d return!
Loved Blue Lemon Apartment
We really enjoyed our stay in the blue lemon apartment. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils and equipment if you wanted to eat inside. The Apartment was very spacious with high ceilings, many windows and lots of daylight. The bedsrooms are not too close to each other and has two bathrooms, making it very convenient for two families to stay together. Our only suggestion would be to put window screens for the bedrooms (even though there are nets) to keep the mosquitos out. The Lucca is a great place to hang out and we will definetely come back.
