Loic purchased this Studio in 2012
Why Loic chose 16th Arrondissement
When I was student in Paris, I dreamed to be the owner of an apartment near the worldwilde greatest avenue 'les Champs Elysees'. At this epoque I was fascinated by the epitmy of parisian chic and luxury. Finally, 30 years later (last year) I bought this apartment. This studio is fully equiped with a luggage local. The apartment is a small loft...You sleep in a cosy attic converted in mezzanine.. it is not hight (1,40 meter).. It's a lovely bedroom under the roofs of Paris. This extension allows the living room completly free. The surface of the mezzanine is a bonus, it is not counted in the value of rent property.
What makes this Studio unique
Today, due to its reasonably size, this apartment allows two people make sur not overpaying for staying in most famous and chic parisian place. Last bonus, You have free very hight speed WIFI by optical fiber.
100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date. 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
We stayed for 10 days in the this amazing little flat. The place was very close to great shopping / grocery store (across the street) / many restaurants / many of the hop on hop off bus pick & drop off locations.
We will be back again to this flat and have mentioned it to many who are in planning stages of travelling to Paris.
Good, But Not Quite As Advertised
A Great Location! Very Clean and Very Secure! Was as advertised except for one important
thing. The apartment is described as having air conditioning. This apartment has no central
air. The main level has NO air and the loft where the bed is has a portable air conditioning unit which is very loud and couldn't possibly keep up and cool the air in the loft. My husband is in air conditioning and says that this unit should never have been put into a space this large. There was a fan up in the loft as well. The week we were in Paris, the temperature was mid to high 30's. Since there was no air on the main floor and we had to rely on the window, this space was unbearable. We had no reprieve from the heat in this apartment. As long as the outdoor temperature is below 25 c (75 F) it would be fairly comfortable. Every day my husband would have to haul the fan up and down the stairs so we could be remotely comfortable on the main level. Moving forward, description of the AC should indicate that it is a portable unit for North American guests. If we had known that, we would never have booked this apartment. A very long and uncomfortable week!
Great place for the price!
We stayed at Loic's place June 13-17 and had a great time! The place was very clean, had a lot of kitchen utensils which was helpful although we did not use them too much since we were out and about constantly. If you do want to cook breakfast or lunch you will have mostly everything you need. The place was small which all the reviews stated so we were expecting this. We are not big people, so it worked for us... the shower was a bit tight but we made it work. The bedroom upstairs was even smaller than anticipated, but the comfortable bed and sky window made up for it. You could see the top of the Arc as well as the top of the Eiffel Tower from the bedroom window which was pretty cool. Although small, the place was REALLY REALLY safe. You have to go through two doors which are locked with a code before you even enter the apartment building. It is a really nice (and wealthy) area of Paris and we liked that a lot in terms of safety and noise... I did not hear the neighbors much at all. The ONLY thing I thought was a little funny was that there was no hand soap, paper towels, and we even ran out of toilet paper in the few days we were there. They had provided us with about a roll and a half. Michele, who checked us in and was great... told us to let her know if we need anything but I felt silly calling her and asking for these things so we just went across the street and grabbed what we needed at the supermarket. At the end of the day... it is was a VERY good price for the area so these few things we accepted as what comes with the price and did not bother us much. Close to the train station and many cafes around... there is a Patisserie at the end of the street where we frequented for croissants and cappuccinos...All in all this was a great place to stay and would definitely recommend it! Thank you Loic and Michele!
Nice efficient loft apartment. Convenient location.
We had a wonderful time in Paris. The location is great and convenient to get around. The loft apartment is very efficient. The sleeping loft is tight but manageable. We would stay there again. We read the reviews before our stay so there were no surprises. We were happy with our stay and convenient location to the grocery across the street. Michele was prompt and gave us all the information we needed. The only suggestion we would make is for people staying more than 2 nights, that two towels each be provided along with two wash clothes each. Thank you Loic. You have a beautiful cute apartment.
Tiny Place, but Lovely Fittings and Central Location
Regarding the low ceiling in the bedroom: First, the bed is worth ducking or even crawling to. We had 7 good nights here. Very comfortable. As the owner says, though, the unit is great for young couples (we are not young). The stairs and low ceiling do require flexibility and agility, as well as slimness. The shower also requires slimness - don't drop your soap!
The unit is very inventively designed to use all the available space. It has been equipped with fine furniture and appliances: Comfy, leather chairs. also microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hot water maker (for tea …), stove top, the usual dishes, pots, pans, service ware, fan for upstairs (needed on warm days).
But: Virtually no supplies such as personal soap, kitchen detergent, paper towels, facial tissue. No salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, oil for cooking). TV directions not apparent, but we did not call for help because we had become used to no TV after 3 weeks in Europe.
Across the street is the Monop’ “super market,” but we found no bakery nearby (Monop’ has good croissants and bread), few close restaurants (but we loved the Sir Winston a couple blocks away, near the Arc d’Triomphe.
Apartment is very secure (two combo locked doors before entering, solid door to unit. Unit is in in a classic Haussmann structure near the Arc and the Champs Elysées.
The Studio is as advertised. We are glad we stayed here.
We just left the apartament. Everything was great and we spent a lovely time in Paris. The apartment was perfect and at unbeatable location
Again thank you so much and looking forward to come back soon to the same apartment.
The apartment is situated near the metro Kleber and the RER station Charles de Gaulle-Etoile.
There is a direct line to the airport Charles de Gaulle: 'les cars Air France'. The bus station for the airport is at 150 meters from the building.
