Why Tina chose Ontario

We've loved this log cottage for years and when the owners decided to sell their much loved summer home, we were blessed to buy it for our children. It's still a few years away before they will use it, so we are renting it out so that it will still be enjoyed. One year, we spent Christmas day there as an ongoing tradition and we can't imagine a more perfect setting. What a treat! A wonderful family occasion with a roaring fire, board games, laughs and hot chocolate!

What makes this cottage unique

Nature at her best, white majestic pines, clean lake/river, privacy yet not far from town, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, peace & quiet, marshmallow roast, BBQ, history, museum, art gallery, hiking trails, good & inexpensive golf. And we could go on!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much. We had a great time. This place is amazing. (written in a note)

Beautiful cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time staying here!!The hosts Tina and Wayne thought of everything to make our stay so enjoyable. We loved the welcome basket and all of the amenities- towels, fully stocked kitchen, water to drink, firewood for our first night and super comfortable beds. The view is incredible and we used the dock, boats, outdoor kitchen and fire pit every day. We would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful retreat!!!

A truly beautiful log home

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from 10 fantastic days at this amazing cottage.

Even before our arrival it was obvious that the hosts had put a tremendous amount of love and care into this property; from the quality of photos, videos and information available, to the patient and thorough communications during the booking process.

Upon entry the cottage is everything you have been promised and more. Thoughtful lighting, considered decor and plentiful amenities create a perfect scene of calm and relaxation.

The cottage is set on a pristine piece of land with spectacular views, abundant room to explore, gorgeous trees, a beautiful beach and tasteful architecture at every turn. In particular, the rock and concrete work around the outdoor kitchen/BBQ area are stunning and unique.

Inside the house you’ll find the kitchen is stocked with every convenience imaginable. The beds are comfy, the couches are relaxing. Netflix and fast internet, books and games, candles, blankets and throw pillows abound at every turn. Your hosts have considered everything in their quest to make you comfortable.

Take a deep breath, open the porch windows, relax to the calming song of the bullfrog choir as the sun begins to set each evening. You are home.

Stay here. You deserve it.

Very clean and well maintained cottage in beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I with our two young sons stayed 5 nights in this beautiful cottage - it was perfect! Well located, private, gorgeous waterfront setting. There is a dock for swimming and fishing. Only 45 minutes to North Bay for shopping and entertainment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

5 stars are simply not enough!

  • 5 of 5

I would like to let Tina and everyone know, that we had an amazing time at her place. Everything we could think of, was provided by Tina. Our experience was perfect. We enjoyed Canoeing and Kayaking using her Equipment.

The Interior decoration was flawless. The inside had a very warm atmosphere and felt just like home.

We encountered no issues with anything.

Thank you very much Tina for your amazing place and we really wish to have met you in person.

We definitely will be coming back.

The Afshar Family.

Blown Away By This Place!

  • 5 of 5

Honestly where do I start! If you're debating whether this place is for you or not, please take my advice and just choose here. Lot/Property, large and beautiful. Cottage, pristine and awe inspiring. Hosts, went above and beyond at every possible opportunity. Cost was right on point. Great value, best money I've ever spent on something like this. They accommodated 8 of us guys with extra mattresses and sheets, made sure there were lawn chairs for all of us, and thought of every possible thing that you might need during your stay and had it there ready for you. Were gracious even when we broke a dish by accident. Great place, honest/great people, you won't regret a thing. Have a fantastic stay!
