Bonita Beach Courtyard Cottage- Short Cycle Ride to the Beach

Bedrooms 1
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 5 - 14 nights

About the property

Cottage, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

A truely unique cottage style home with a beautifull shaded courtyard area. A fenced in expansive back yard with a variety of orange tree's a vegetable garden a large stocked pond. Watch the birds fly over as they return at night time to the famous Estero Bay and Lovers Key bird sanctuary. The home is fully tiled throughout and is bright and airy.

The owners own a restaraunt and can provide additional conceriege services if required. You can enjoy a breathtaking cycle ride to the beach crossing the back bay waters along the way. The beach is less than a mile away.

The unique advantage to Bonita Beach is its great location, Naples and Fort Myers Beach offer two contrasting experiences and are well worth visiting. Naples is a very upscale location has great shopping and wonderfull restaurants. Fort Myers Beach is more the Jimmy buffet style experience, great for a visit but can be too much to base your entire vacation on. Bonita is really like a mix of these two styles. very friendly, a touch more real life than Naples.

The kitchen has an expansive granite bar which totally surrounds the central working section. Their is an impressive vaulted ceiling in the original old Florida pine. The open plan kitchen is to the rear of the home and has double French doors which lead to the back patio which has a large shade tent. The front of the house has a open plan living space with a sleeper sofa and love seat. There is a louvred door wall which can be opened up to reveal the master suite.

The master bedroom is bright and airy and has a queen bed, a dresser, a six foot built in closet and an attached master bathroom.. The master bath has a tub shower combo and a single vanity..

Bonita Springs Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in Bonita Springs at this rental was extra ordinary. The property is very well maintained with maintenance man on sight and accessible 24 hours a day. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood, and furnished very adequately. It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. It has a private backyard for your evenings just chilling out with BBQ grill. I highly recommend this property for your next vacation.

Hope to return soon

  • 5 of 5

The pictures looked good but mostly we rented for the proximity to our friends who had recently moved nearby. We loved our little beach cottage. It was clean and adequately furnished. In Iowa the kitchen is the "heart of the home" and this one was beautiful! Roomy enough for several people to work and and a great counter height granite bar with numerous seating that wraps around the kitchen making entertaining perfect! There is also a small outdoor entryway/courtyard that is a perfect place to store all your sandy beach gear. It's located one block off the main " beach "drag so everything is nearby yet it's very quiet. There is an outdoor patio with table and gas grill. (Ok, the backyard turf is not in great shape, it's bit scraggly but that didn't matter to us. There is a pond with some fish. )

I really don't understand the previous "not good" review as we found none of those deficiencies. We found the owners Drew & Mia very friendly and accommodating. My message to all renters, should you have a problem or concern, contact the owner and give them a chance to resolve any issues.

We enjoyed our stay in Bonita Springs and hope to return and stay at this property.

Not good

  • 3 of 5

Pictures can be deceiving. The yard was in tough shape. The bed is old and lumpy. The bathroom is clean. The kitchen has 2 cups, 2 water glasses and lots of dishes. The couches are old and not very comfortable. The whole place needs to be updated. The best thing is that it is close to the beach. You get what you pay for.

About Andrew Harkness

Moved To Florida in 1999 straight from N Ireland, Golf country!

Why Andrew Harkness chose Bonita Springs

Its very unique, private close to the beach, and it enjoys that cooler micro climate when compared to properties that are two or three miles plus inland.

What makes this cottage unique

A tastefully fully remodeled 1959 Florida home with a very restful ambiance.

Bonita Beach

My wife has been in the hotel and hospitality business for years, you will be in great hands as far as your stay is concerned. We have lived in Bonita Beach for years and we really truely find it the best place in the world to return to after our own vacations. We often take the short cycle ride to the beach to enjoy the sunsets, and of course we have a variety of great restaurants and convienent stores just a few minutes from our quiet neighborhood..
