As semi-retired professional, born and raised in Montreal, Canada, who recently became a snowbird, I like keeping busy, presently own and manage a B & B in downtown Montreal, Quebec (Repos & Manna B&B) from May to October, and heading down to beautiful Phoenix from November to April, hoping to meet great folks and share good stories. I'm an active person, enjoy participating and playing many sports, particularly tennis, where I look forward to various local tournaments. This keeps my mind focused and my body in shape. I've rented quite of few VRBO properties and the owner's description makes this one sound more elegant than it really is. The term "professionally decorated" I think is a bit much. It was not very clean. There were crumbs all over the counter and the bathroom was pretty dirty. The bedrooms only have double beds. The house does have a nice grill out back but they fail to mention that you have to buy your own charcoal to use it. The reason I rent houses for vacations is to save on the cost of food, I cook at the house. The kitchen is not well stocked. There is one saucepan, two skillets and three knives. You're on your own for trying to figure out how to use the dishwasher and tv. Overall I feel this property is way oversold and would not recommend it to a friend. One other thing to be careful of is the additional credit card charge for running it through as international.

This recently reviewed property happens to be my personal vacation home and I will occasionally rent it out especially during peak tourist seasons. I will occupy a smaller dwelling during these busy periods.

It is unfortunate that this guest mentioned that our property had crumbs when we always vacuum, disinfect and dust every inch of our property to ensure a fresh, clean atmosphere for our newly arriving guests.
As this is my personal vacation home, and as a chef and owner of a top-rated B&B in Montreal, this property is fully equipped with all kitchen amenities and utensils. Our kitchen appliances are all of the highest quality and very user friendly, for example, to operate the dishwasher, one needs only to press one button, the blue one, presto! As for additional credit card charges, we process our payments through a merchant banking secure system where they will charge a small conversion charge, but we offset this by given our guests a similar rebate on the exchange rate.
We are truly grateful for the awesome guests that have occupied our properties, and some were so pleased with their stay and orientation that some actually cleaned our entire property and did all the laundry as well before they left. It is unfortunate that some guests regardless of the service, courtesy and professionalism we show them, will always seem find something to complain about. As well, we encourage our potential guests to ask as many questions as possible before proceeding with their booking to ensure “peace of mind”, and finally, our goal has always been and shall continue be, to make our home a “Home-Away-From-Home” retreat and pleasurable experience for all who visit us.

This convenient location makes it an excellent home base in which to explore everything the valley has to offer. Scottsdale, Glendale, the Airport, and downtown Phoenix are all within a 20 minute drive. North Mountain Preserve is very close by and is an excellent recreation area for hiking and mountain bike trails. There are 10 golf courses within a 7 mile radius, along with world class spas, shopping, dining and entertainment.
