About Greg and Carol Jackson

Carol and Greg are native Houstonians who moved to Austin in 1996, although Greg worked as a musician and Carol attended UT in Austin in the 70's. Greg has returned to being a full time musician and Carol now practices acupuncture in our home and also in a clinic.

Please let us know if you are interested in an Acupuncture Treatment, Massage, or Herbal Consultation.

Greg and Carol Jackson purchased this apartment in 2005

Why Greg and Carol Jackson chose Austin

We had lived out in the Hill Country and decided that we wanted to live in town when Carol started her acupuncture practice. We fell in love with the Hyde Park neighborhood and neighbors, as well as our 100+ year old Victorian home. Greg is an accomplished builder and carpenter, so the wonderful old house offers many remodeling project opportunities - we're not quite finished!

What makes this apartment unique

We love living here in the historic Hyde Park neighborhood where we actually know and visit with our neighbors. This is a place where everyone gets out for walks, jogs, and bike rides and everyone takes the time to get to know one another. We know our guests will experience this first hand as they walk to one of the nearby restaurants or other closeby attractions

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Greg & Carol,

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your lovely apartment. The accomodations were wonderful and the Austin literature and guide books were incredibly helpful! The binder you made had easy to follow instructions and we made heavy use of your recommendations.

The apartment had everything we needed....Thanks again for everything!!

Wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

Our go-to in Austin while our son was in school at UT. We were noticing this weekend that the unit is just as beautiful and well maintained as the first time we stayed three years ago. It has everything you would want in a home away. Our time in Austin is over, but if we ever have a reason to come back, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Beautifully decorated apartment, very clean, lots of space. Cozy secluded outdoor courtyard to relax in. Owners are very helpful and organized. Walking distance to many fun restaurants, local grocery store and local coffee shop/ bakery. Fun historic area of Austin to walk or jog around through. Minutes from downtown area and capital. Lots of fun shopping at boutiques close by.

A Perfect Place

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here when we came to Austin to visit our kids and it was perfect! Great location, very clean and very comfortable.

Greg was very easy to communicate with and the process could not have been easier..

The only bad news was that it was already booked when we plan to return this summer!

Thanks so much to our hosts for helping to make our stay so pleasant!

As Advertised!

  • 5 of 5

What a pleasure to stay in a VRBO that is even better

than represented by photos and descriptions. This is

a perfect place for two, maybe a stretch for three but doable.

It's well provisioned, comfortable furnished, clean and cared for

space.
