Guestbook comments from the owner

The casa is designed to take advantage of Tankah bay with large bay windows facing the beach. Every window has a beautiful view to the pool, the beach and the water. The casa has many areas inside and outside you can choose as your favorite spot to sit enjoy your visiting with family or friends. The casa has a very nice pool maintained every day and nice beach chairs facing the bay. The grounds are well maintained and very pretty. Look out any window in the casa to see a beautiful view of garden, pool, beach or bay. Truth is this place is just great in so many ways, we've been coming to this part of the Yucatan for many years and so sorry we hadn't paid attention to this beach and this property earlier. We had the great fortune to have Chef Antonio along with his staff-our new friend Benito to help with grocery shopping, meal planning and the best breakfast and dinners you'll have anywhere. The service and meals alone are enough to warrant and return visit, but combine this with the peacefulness of the area, the amenities of the casa, the great view, the swimming and kayaking puts this place over the top. Can't say enough about this property and staff service-Any issues see Hurley next door or just invite him over for a good visit-great guy. Planning on a return trip soon and this place is our only choice, if Chef Anonio, Benito and the casa are not available when we plan to return we'll adjust the timing of of vacation. Just perfect!!!!!!!

Magical, FANTASTIC location!!!

  • 5 of 5

We have been to Cozumel, Playa Del Carmen, and Cancun, but never down to Tulum. I found this listing and it was just too intriguing to pass up, although I was a bit nervous that we were going to be out where there was little going on. The Tulum area is my new favorite place!! The house in fantastic, photos cannot possibly capture all of the incredible details. Having two bedrooms that have balconies made it easy to split with another couple and no one felt shorted. Air conditioners kept the place nice and cool! It is RIGHT on the beach. The views are incredible. And it is steps away from a very large cenote that is wonderful for snorkeling and in fact, I suggest if you want to explore it to the end that you at least wear fins as there is quite a current, even though it appears to be still from the surface, people without fins had to work a lot harder to swim to the ends than we did. Of course coming back was a breeze because you are with the current. There is GREAT snorkeling right outside the back yard. It is rocky at first so I carried my fins and wore water shoes and carefully made my way out about 10 feet from shore, then sat in the water and put on my fins, the water is only about hip deep for quite awhile and the bottom is sea grass, but stingrays and turtles love sea grass, I saw the largest sting ray I've ever seen out there. Keep going and there are collections of beautiful coral and around those, amazing fish, we even saw two lion fish which I've never seen I the wild before. Incredible. Turtles dug nests right behind the house and down the beach a bit we saw baby sea turtles hatching and moms laying eggs!! The restaurant two houses down from the house is wonderful!! And there's a cute little convenience store as well as other restaurants right there. Literally you'd never have to leave the neighborhood to have an incredible time. But Tulum the town is amazing too! Paradise Beach is about 20 minutes drive with powder sand and restaurant service to your beach chairs (we had to order 1500 pesos' worth of food to have the spot and it was worth it!). The PEOPLE that work at the house are my family now. Elder took care of everything including driving us around (we didn't rent a car), his sister and father are the housekeeper and groundskeeper and they are all precious and wow, how hard they work! Treat them with respect and save cash to tip at the end! This house is a GEM and would be a great deal at twice the price! Don't hesitate, GO!!!

Great Stay!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I enjoyed 6 days at the Paloma. House was very large and clean. Marion was very sweet and kind. She ask us what food and other items we needed for the stay. She had food etc. at the house waiting. She scheduled cabs, in house massages, dinner shows, the cook, trips to town, etc. We ate at two different restaurants that were yards from the house that were good. My cell phone worked in that area. Home also has wifi. The home was fairly private. One house on one side nothing on the other. The TV had a few American channels. Carlina cooked us meals two days that were great. Yanira the maid kept the house clean and Cristobal maintained the outside area. Very nice place!

Absolutely exceeded our expectations!!

  • 5 of 5

Where do we start!?! From the moment we booked this house for our summer vacation we knew we were in for a special week, but we never dreamed how amazing it would be! We arrived late on Saturday evening and the groundskeeper had the house open and ready for us and greeted us the moment we arrived. He was there every morning cleaning the grounds, raking the sand and cleaning the seaweed. He was also available anytime day or night for any maintenance issues that arose (which were essentially none since the home is so well maintained). Marion, the house manager, was absolutely lovely, friendly and extremely accommodating. She stopped by several times during the week and made sure all of our needs were met. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and was able to give us great advice on adventures throughout the week. We chose to have the chef service for the week and were so pleased with the decision- it was so nice to lounge by the pool all day and then shower and enjoy dinner at the house without having to worry about "going out" every evening with our three daughters. Antonio (the head chef) stopped by the house several times to meal plan with us and to stock the kitchen with extras we needed. He also pre-stocked the kitchen with a list we sent before our arrival (he had cold beer in the fridge which was the perfect touch after a long day of traveling)! Manuel, our personal chef for the week, made us the most delicious meals and drinks and was an absolute pleasure to be around. Our youngest daughter is a very picky eater and he prepared her a separate meal for both lunch and dinner everyday with a smile on his face and not a single complaint. The housekeeper arrived daily to clean the house, freshen the towels, make the beds, etc. and was also very friendly and helpful. The house itself was truly magnificent- the pictures can't even begin to adequately show its beauty! The large windows allow for amazing views of the ocean and pool and the rooms and bathrooms were spacious and beautiful. The entire week we just kept saying "this house is so amazing!!" The beach area around the house was very private and the cenote, literally a few steps from the house, had crystal clear water and was a great snorkeling experience for the whole family. This was definitely the most peaceful and relaxing vacation our family has ever had. Without a doubt, this beautiful home and its lovely staff will be seeing us again for many years to come....

Beautiful home and experience in Tankah Bay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous time at Casa Paloma. The pictures of the house do not adequately represent the beauty of this home. From the time we booked the house until the end of our vacation we were blown away at the attentiveness given to us by Marion, our personal concierge. We highly recommend this house and hope to be back someday. We chose not to rent a car and relied on shuttles to and from the airport and taxis to get around. Marion assisted with scheduling all of our transportation needs. That was a great decision for us and left us stress-free. The restaurants within walking distance are great options, checking out the cenote across the street is highly recommended as well. We had a chef come in for 3 days during our trip and it was a wonderful experience. Request Chef Adri and you will not be disappointed. The beach is extremely rocky and you can not enter without water shoes. Beautiful area to kayak around though.

Wonderful home in the beautiful Mexican Riviera

  • 5 of 5

Excellent space for large groups. Our family of 6 and 2 young children enjoyed our stay and are already planning to come back.

Marion, the property manager, is incredibly welcoming and helps acclimate you to the area.

We loved the chef service and highly recommend it for a group

Only drawback was the location. It's in Tankah Bay. Rocky beach and not the white soft sand we were hoping to find.

Good news, the long walks on fine sand along the endless beach is only a 15 car ride away . It costs approximately $35-40 U.S. round trip to shuttle back and forth to sandy beach and restaurant row.

That is a bit of money but still a savings when you consider the average price of hotel on the beach for a simple room is $300 and up for 2 people.

We will be back!

Incredible, clean, great staff.

  • 5 of 5

My three boys loved this place. It kept us so busy and we loved it here. It was so nice having the cenote and resturants so close as well! We were super comfortable. Would recommend to anyone that wants to have a once in a lifetime getaway here.
