About Lynn Jones

I'm a retired woman who loves the Shenandoah Valley and especially Massanutten. Having been born in PA in the mountains, this area in the mountains (Blue Ridge, Massanutten and Allegheny mountain ranges) is perfect for me. I also love people and owning vacation rentals is the perfect way for me to be able to treat others to what I love and offer them unforgettable vacations.

Lynn Jones purchased this house in 2012

Why Lynn Jones chose Shenandoah Valley

The Crow's Nest is the most unique house I have seen in Massanutten. It almost looks like a house from a movie scene with a European flare, two sets of hand-welded spiral stair cases, warm knotty-wood pine walls in the great room and hall ways, hard wood doors and moldings and views of the mountains I love the out-of-doors and this house has about 1,000 square feet of beautiful covered decking with lots of wicker furniture and views.

What makes this house unique

This house makes you feel 'one with nature.' There are two large walls of floor to ceiling windows and approx. 1,000 sq ft of Trex decking and rails all covered with lovely roofing. The most unique aspect is the crow's nest atop the house for viewing the mountains.

11/22/16 - 11/29/16 - family Thanksgiving

  • 5 of 5

My family of 9 including our adult children and our grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed Lynn's home. The kitchen and dining area were so pleasant in the morning due to the surrounding windows. You felt you were in a tree house. Lynn's kitchen had everything we might need to fix our Thanksgiving dinner. Can't say enough about Lynn's willingness and promptness to answer any questions I had. Although, the Massanutten resort area appears to be more geared for summer activities, we found lots to do. We visited nearby Luray Caverns and hiked in the Shenandoah National Park. We even traversed a small section of the Appalachian Trail much to my sister's delight. My husband and i visited a winery and want to return to the area for wineries that were not open. I just loved the area and the house worked well for us. Very clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. My only regret with the home is i wish the master suite had a king size bed vs. queen. Spoiled at home with king size and the only room that had a king was in the basement, which was just fine. I would stay at this home again and hope we have the opportunity to do so. Wonderful time with family!!!!! Bonnie Lord, Canandaigua, NY

Perfection

  • 5 of 5

Lynn, your home is beautiful and made our stay so convenient! It's a short drive to gorgeous scenery. The house is extremely clean and the neighbors were so kind to us. The house was spacious enough for our group of 8. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you again for all your help and kindness!

A Beautiful Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 10, including 4 young children, spent 5 nights at the Crow's Nest and loved every minute of it! It is such a lovely property and very, very clean! The 3 levels gave us plenty of room to stretch out and there was something for everyone! We had a 1000 piece puzzle on the large dining table, as well as lots of craft items for the kiddos. There were 2 tables on the large porch to hang out and eat around the 2 days it was warm.

We loved the hot "pool" as our 3 yr. old grandson called the hot tub on the porch! The soccer table in the rec room was used often, and the TVs in so many rooms were nice for football on Sunday and down time.

We enjoyed the playground nearby, the indoor water park, and beautiful scenery all around us.

The kitchen was well stocked, the grill was great and Food Lion was nearby!

We had a wonderful vacation and highly recommend the Crow's Nest!!

Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

We love The Crow's Nest! This is our third year and we can't wait to stay again. The description of this property is spot-on, and we've been rewarded each year with a new updated feature. Lynn is easy to work with, and has responded immediately to questions. We would definitely recommend this home to family and friends!

The whole family loves the hot tub, and we always make use of the outdoor seating arrangements under two covered decks no matter what the weather. The beds are comfortable, the open dining/living area is perfect, and the kitchen is complete with modern appliances and amenities. We've used the crockpot, griddle, coffeepot, Keurig, toaster, and even baked two apple pies in the oven. There are plenty of games, puzzles and books for all to enjoy.

Massanutten offers something for every member of my family. The adults love the golf course, the grandkids never tire of the indoor waterpark, and we all enjoy miniature golf, hiking and shopping. Cirros' Italian Bistro was on our to do list this year, and we were not disappointed!

Fun Girl's Weekend

  • 4 of 5

We were very pleased with this lovely home. The house was very clean and owner has thought of everything you need. The living room area could be a little bigger. It's a little short on seating, but overall very nice house. Lynn was fantastic to work with and answered questions very quickly and was thorough with directions and information on the house. The master suite was amazing! The deck was large and plenty of room to relax and enjoy nature. Overall great get away home for the weekend.
