About Linda Bayles
My name is Linda Bayles. I have been a Realtor in the Jacksonville/St Augustine area ranking in the Top 1% of Agents since 1998. In 2005 I walked into a 1926 beach cottage direct oceanfront on St Augustine Beach and knew I had found my calling. I wanted to 'Create' a vacation space for Families. Large extended families. A place were Cousins, Grandmothers, Uncles and Aunts can comfortably come together to reconnect and enjoy each other away from the demands of the outside world. I come from a large family of 5 children as does my husband, Brad. Some of my fondest memories are when we all got together to just 'hang out' for 3 or 4 days. The little ones always come up with a 'play'. The adults always congregate in the Kitchen passing down the 'Family Recipes' to the next generation and playing Games. We are a big Game playing family. Specifically Rummikub. We start them at 5 and My Mother is still going at 95. If you have never played, you must. I make sure there is one in each house. Once you are hooked and have one of your own, I hope you will think of your St Augustine stay every time you play. So I bought that 1926 Craftsman, gutted it and turned it into The Chautauqua which sleeps 21. It has been a rewarding success. In 2011, my Father expanded the tradition and bought 4 homes on one Oceanfront compound on 9th Street. We could not believe our luck and spent the next year remodeling them into The Seaside Cottages. We started renting them in June of 2012. The Best part is not only the homes but the BEACH. There are only 18 streets on the “Best Beach” - No cars. No Catwalk. The ocean right at your door. Everything within walking distance. In 2016 I moved to Downtown St Augustine and added 4 more Downtown Homes walking distance of St George Street, the Center of Historic Downtown and all the Restaurants, Sights and Music. It is absolutely charming at night. You will feel you are strolling an old European City. A must see. I hope you will stay with us and create memories you will cherish for a lifetime. Feel free to call me any time day or night at 904.465.3852. PS: I am also a Realtor. I work primarily as a Single Agent. There are not many of us out there. Most Realtors work as neutral Transaction Agents. You can google 'Buyers Agent' to get an overview of the difference. I think it is big. Just ask yourself the question, Would I want the other sides Attorney to represent me too? That's it in a nut shell but the amazing thing is, unlike Attorneys, it does not cost you anything to have your OWN Realtor representing just YOUR interest. We are all paid by the Seller. So .... I would love to help if you are thinking about buying or selling in the area. Just call and I will send photos of what's available. Once here I would love to give you a tour of the area and take you "shopping". We can see about 4 per hour and you have me as long as it takes.

Great stay! We were a group of 5 and it was a little packed but definitely doable. Great Location.
Great rental location but equipped with the minimum amount of supplies for five people. Plenty of beach materials and a great outdoor shower. Great area right on the beach and only a short ride to downtown.
Clean and well appointed beach cottage
Easy to rent, beautiful ocean front cottage. User friendly, easy to get in and owner was accommodating for our extra early arrival. The cottage was clean with enough space to entertain friends inside and out. The kitchen was updated with nice size fridge and dishwasher. Wonderful beach access right out back door and parking was right outside. We enjoyed our stay and were even able to add an extra day. We would go back for sure. Location is central to all you need.
Most amazing place to rent in St. Augustine
This place was amazing !! Great location to the beach, activities, restaurants, down town, etc. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed and very well decorated. We loved sitting outside on the patio and listening to the ocean ! Would highly recommend renting this place. 10/10 on every thing!!!!!!!!
Great little cottage on the beach
Linda's cottage #4 is great. Everything works, nice decorations, extremely clean, good appliances and she does a great job with communication. The location is very good, just step out to the boardwalk to the beach. Just be aware that the washer and dryer are not in the cottage but across the driveway behind cottage #1. Also, the view from back patio is the dunes rather than the beach. We were able to enjoy the beach and old city St Augustine is less than 15 minutes away. Good restaurants are around and the Publix is only a mile away.
I had a great vacation at Cottage 4. Pictures are exactly when you get. The property is no more than two steps from the beach access. Nice beach towels and beach supplies, although I could't get the shelter together by myself and ended up buying a small beach umbrella. Kitchen surprisingly nice and well appointed for a rental. Ice and water in fridge worked great for filling up before going to the beach. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Parking for two right beside the cottage. Bed comfy. Enjoyed both the front and back outdoor spaces. Air conditioning worked well, and leaving the bedroom doors open overnight helped with circulation. Wi-fi worked great with no issues during my stay.
The beach is beautiful. White, almost but not quite sugar sand. Of course it gets everywhere, no matter how much I tried to keep it out. Beach is very clean. Waves perfect - rollers enough to enjoy but not so powerful that you get knocked off your feet, unless you aren't paying attention. Lots of people surfing, which I don't do but enjoyed watching. Beach busy on weekend afternoons, but even then not crowded. During the week, not a ton of people on the beach. No life guards stationed in this area but they do patrol by. I think there is a life guard stand by the pier, which is visible to the north. Everyone leaves their stuff out on the beach and come and go during the day. I never saw anyone messing with anyone's belongings. Best beach I've been to.
A few things to note - the keyless entry on the main door is great, once you get the hang of it. Recommend going in the beach side door initially until you can figure out the keyless entry. The entrance to the shower is tight. Anyone with mobility issues or the need for adaptive devices is going to struggle. The coffee maker is regular one, not a Keurig. Not that big of a deal, but I'd have preferred a Keurig. A covered outdoor space, for the occasional but intense rainstorm, would be nice. All these issues are very minor.
Feels like home
My husband and I wanted a quick quaint getaway right in the beach and the beach cottage number four couldn’t have been any better. Great location, peaceful, and felt like a home away from home.
