About Linda Bayles
My name is Linda Bayles. I have been a Realtor in the Jacksonville/St Augustine area ranking in the Top 1% of Agents since 1998. In 2005 I walked into a 1926 beach cottage direct oceanfront on St Augustine Beach and knew I had found my calling. I wanted to 'Create' a vacation space for Families. Large extended families. A place were Cousins, Grandmothers, Uncles and Aunts can comfortably come together to reconnect and enjoy each other away from the demands of the outside world. I come from a large family of 5 children as does my husband, Brad. Some of my fondest memories are when we all got together to just 'hang out' for 3 or 4 days. The little ones always come up with a 'play'. The adults always congregate in the Kitchen passing down the 'Family Recipes' to the next generation and playing Games. We are a big Game playing family. Specifically Rummikub. We start them at 5 and My Mother is still going at 95. If you have never played, you must. I make sure there is one in each house. Once you are hooked and have one of your own, I hope you will think of your St Augustine stay every time you play. So I bought that 1926 Craftsman, gutted it and turned it into The Chautauqua which sleeps 21. It has been a rewarding success. In 2011, my Father expanded the tradition and bought 4 homes on one Oceanfront compound on 9th Street. We could not believe our luck and spent the next year remodeling them into The Seaside Cottages. We started renting them in June of 2012. The Best part is not only the homes but the BEACH. There are only 18 streets on the “Best Beach” - No cars. No Catwalk. The ocean right at your door. Everything within walking distance. In 2016 I moved to Downtown St Augustine and added 4 more Downtown Homes walking distance of St George Street, the Center of Historic Downtown and all the Restaurants, Sights and Music. It is absolutely charming at night. You will feel you are strolling an old European City. A must see. I hope you will stay with us and create memories you will cherish for a lifetime. Feel free to call me any time day or night at 904.465.3852. PS: I am also a Realtor. I work primarily as a Single Agent. There are not many of us out there. Most Realtors work as neutral Transaction Agents. You can google 'Buyers Agent' to get an overview of the difference. I think it is big. Just ask yourself the question, Would I want the other sides Attorney to represent me too? That's it in a nut shell but the amazing thing is, unlike Attorneys, it does not cost you anything to have your OWN Realtor representing just YOUR interest. We are all paid by the Seller. So .... I would love to help if you are thinking about buying or selling in the area. Just call and I will send photos of what's available. Once here I would love to give you a tour of the area and take you "shopping". We can see about 4 per hour and you have me as long as it takes.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this beachside cottage. It was in a perfect location....in walking distance to several restaurants and on a no-drive section of the beach. If we didn't know any better, though, we would not have realized anything was around us just by walking out on the peaceful covered porch on the front side of the house, overlooking the dunes and beach. The cottage was super clean and decorated very nicely. We lacked for nothing during our stay; however, if we had, Linda was easily accessible via phone/text. We will certainly be back to stay!
Perfect Beach Getaway
We loved everything about this property.
Perfect beach getaway!
Cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our stay! Kitchen was fully stocked with all appliances, dishes, etc...everything you would need. Enjoyed our stay and we will be back!
The accommodations were perfect! The location was easy access to the beach and the cottage was spotless!
Our group of 4 had a wonderful weekend at Linda’s cottage.
Pros: Very clean, updated space and Linda was friendly and accommodating of our request for a late checkout which we greatly appreciated. The location couldn’t have been better. It was such a nice experience being able to walk to and from the beach with minimal effort and not having to cross the road with our stuff in tow. The beach area was very clean, soft sand, and not too crowded. Love that you can’t park on this part of the beach. Great restaurants and coffee shops were in easy walking distance. It rained all day on one of the days we were there and her stock of board games meant we still had a fun day while cooped up inside. The covered patios were also a nice touch and we utilized the grill as well.
Cons: The master bedroom was a bit warm but luckily there was an extra fan we used that enabled us to get a good night sleep. There were only 3 beach chairs, so not enough for our group of 4. You would think there should be one available for each guest the house accommodates. The bike was unusable due to the chain being rusted and tires flat. It would’ve helped to be able to use it for quick runs to the corner store since we didn’t have a car. The house had basics but was lacking some supplies that would’ve been helpful but we were happy to purchase some coffee grounds, salt & pepper, etc. to pay it forward for the next guests.
Overall: Great experience and would recommend! The small areas where there is room for improvement were minor, and did not hinder our enjoyment.
Thank you again, Linda!
Our family of 4 LOVED our stay in Linda's Cottage #3. The location can't be beaten. Just steps to the beach, great privacy, and walking distance to so many of our St. Augustine Beach favorite places (Cafe 11, Coneheads, Mango Mango's). We have been coming to St. Augustine Beach for the last 4 years and this is by far the best place we've stayed. As we left this morning, my family asked to save the same spot for next year!
