My sunny and light south facing cottage is a charming retreat. It has a very private garden and is furnished with my family antiques from England. It is a walk to the beach and to the village. It has 2+ bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a kitchen-dining room with french doors onto a patio under an awning. The large laundry room has a murphy bed and can be used to sleep a guest. Other amenities include wifi, mainly window air conditioning, an outdoor shower, a grill and luxurious teak loungers with thick white cushions. RR#: 16-49
Hello,
I grew up in Kenya and Zimbabwe, worked as an Art Director in London and New York and now work and live in Amagansett for most of the year. In the summer I travel and visit my family who are mostly in the UK. I love Amagansett. I think its the nicest of the hamlets with its lovely square and is so close to the stunningly gorgeous beach.
Charlotte purchased this cottage in 2003
This cottage is my home and I fell for it the moment the broker showed it to me as a rental. I waited for my son to came home from school to see if he would like it too. He came in, went upstairs to what became his bedroom and said emphatically "Yes!" It is a lovely cottage and everyone who visits loves it. It is full of light through all the french windows on the south side and has a very private garden. It has a very peaceful and friendly atmosphere, a prefect getaway.
It's charming and light with antique furniture and very comfortable beds. The garden is very private with nice garden furniture and an outside shower for when you return andy from the beach
Charlotte's cottage is beautiful, bright and spacious with a wonderful garden full of trees and plants. I needed a bit of quiet time and fresh air after working in the city and this cottage was everything I'd hoped, I had such a relaxing stay!
My husband and I absolutely loved it!! Sleeps 6 comfortably - with 2 showers, a huge open kitchen, and large yard. Cozy and romantic (when it was just 2 of us) - but comfortably accommodated 7, when we offered our families to join us. Will absolutely rent again!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this cottage, or the owner renting it to us (Charlotte). My husband and I rented the property for June and July, having not seen it in person - but liking the pictures we saw posted on this website. And I have to say, it is even better in person. We especially like the open kitchen, the bedrooms (all 3 are so nice that our guests struggle to decide which to take), and the beautiful backyard.
As the owner, Charlotte has been immediately responsive to any questions we've had - and the staff she has come clean, and take out the trash are incredibly kind, hardworking, and do a wonderful job keeping the place spotless.
I'm a nurse, whose hours this August (I'm working every weekend) prohibit us from staying through the end of summer. But somebody should jump on this gem! We are already planning our return in 2018!
Last summer, we rented this lovely cottage for the season while renovating our house nearby. It turned out to be a magical getaway. The house is a lovely oasis minutes from both the beach and town. If we didn’t have our own house, this is the type of place I could see going back to year after year.
