Sweet Asheville Cottage
First of all the location is great! We got there and walked right down town- only 4 blocks away! The cottage was great! We had everything we needed. Chelsea is a gem. Such a wonderful and accomodating person!
The day before I left for Asheville - which was a 10 hour drive for me, my car broke down and it wouldnt be fixed until late the next day, which meant we would lose a day. I contacted her and she just happened to have an extra day on the other end of our rental time and she was happy to move us.
I cant say enough about how much that meant!
Im moving to Asheville and will definitely recommend her place to my visitors!
Cute house and great location
We loved staying in the little house! We were so close to downtown and had everything we needed. It was the perfect amount of space for 4 women. We also loved being so close to Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter for all of our snack needs. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for the hospitality!
Bed is small. Not a queen bed that was advertised.
The shower is dangerous. You have to climb into an old claw foot tub and there are no grasp bars to hold on to.
One of the faucet handles in the bath tub is broken off.
The front door latch is falling apart. Each time the door is opened screws fall out of the door latch mechanism and I had to push the screws back in to be able to close the door.
There were NO smoke alarms in the house. At least two smoke alarms had been removed from where they had been placed.
Cozy, Quiet & Comfortable
The little house is in a great neighborhood that’s close to downtown and the mountains. The 5 points area has everything you need and in walking distance to groceries and restaurants.
My family of four enjoyed the convenience of the place. The house was well stocked for cooking meals. Sleeping arrangements had one bedroom with a full size bed and another that had bunk beds with a trundle bed. The top bunk was close to the ceiling and not really useable for teens but smaller kids could use it just fine.
Overall we enjoyed the accommodations and would definitely rent this place again.
Comfort away from home
We were in Asheville for the yoga festival! This was the perfect location to walk downtown to the venues and to go back in town for dinners, etc. The house was super well equipped with everything you would need.
A great home away from home!
While visiting Asheville, we wanted to stay somewhere more comfortable than a typical hotel room, but also wanted to be within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants, and the Mount Clare house was perfect. The house is very cute and cozy and had everything we needed. It was nice being able to start the day with a relaxing breakfast “at home” before venturing out and then returning “home” to a comfortable couch and beds at night. We ended up contacting Chelsea a couple of times and she was extremely friendly and responsive to all our inquiries and needs. I would definitely try to stay here again if I’m ever back in Asheville.
