Why Dahl Angus chose Cranberry Lake
Cranberry Lake in the Adirondacks is a scenic, still lake surrounded by mountainous terrain and plentiful opportunities for outdoor adventure. It is the third largest lake the Adirondacks, behind Lake George and Raquette Lake. The lake is vast, nearly 7,000 acres, and so has a wide range of depth. While the average depth of Cranberry Lake is only six feet deep, large areas are past the 20 and 30 feet marks. If you’re looking for a great place for activities in the water, Cranberry Lake is a true haven for watersports. Visitors enjoy boating, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, paddling and more. Fishing is also very popular in the Cranberry Lake region. The lake itself is stocked with trout to encourage the sport, and nearby rivers also offer excellent trout fishing. Various trails in the Cranberry Lake region make the area an ideal spot for hiking and exploring, from beginner to intermediate hikers. Enjoy trails in the Cranberry Lake Wild Forest, Western Parcel, Northwestern Parcel, Eastern Parcel and Five Ponds Wilderness Area. Just east of Cranberry Lake village, there is a public campground and day-use area maintained by the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). Here you'll find a picnic area, fishing pier, beach for swimming and bathhouses. There are also graded areas for tents or trailers, water outlets, toilets, a trailer pump-out station and showers. Handicapped accessible campsites are also available. There is a public boat launch on the Oswegatchie River located on Columbian Road.

Fun times on Cranberry Lake
The house is very well equipped and a great location on the lake. Ample games and outdoor activities like hiking and canoeing.
Family vacation in Cranberry lake
The property was even better than the photos! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The driveway is a bit steep, but that just adds to the adventure. The house was really lovely and having use of the paddle boat was a blast. We'd definitely stay again!
things to be done
overall nice , but oven door opening interferes with molding on wall. electronic equipment in children room not working. screen door to deck latch not closing ,I oiled it and ok now, also screen pulled away at bottom of center of door.
We had a terrific time as always! We will be back again next year for sure,
Our Cranberry Lake getaway
This Lake house is beautiful! We were able to dock our motor boat at the house and able to tour the lake at our leisure. The public boat launch is very accessible. We had a great boat ride to Wanakena; just disappointed the General Store was not open the day we went(it was monday, store is closed on Mondays/.On another day I rode my bike to Wanakena and was able to use the foot bridge and read about the history of this area. We were also easily accessible to Mt. Arab for a hike and enjoyed the view from the fire tower on Mt. Arab. We also spent some time in Lake Placid, taking a ride on the gondola at the ski center as well as eating at "Lisa G's" in town. However, it was lovely to come back to the lake house and spend time relaxing. Peaceful and quiet.
A Second Visit Did Not Disappoint
We enjoyed a stay at Bryant House in 2016, and our 2019 return trip was just as enjoyable. The house is a great base camp for paddling and hiking, but it's also great for swimming, relaxing and listening to the loons. Thank you!
