Fully furnished and decorated with artwork, rugs and antiques from our travels around the world. Two bedrooms with comfortable queen size beds, and one with a twin bed. Air mattress available for another guest or children. Linens, dishes, cookware and most other necessities are provided. TV, CD and DVD player, and High speed DSL line and WIFI. Washer/Dryer and storage space in the basement. Patio with a barbecue grill for pleasant hours outdoors. Plenty of free parking – private parking space in the back and street parking in the front.
YMCA is right next door - has an Olympic size indoor swimming pool and all full fitness facilities. Community children's playground built and cared for by the neighborhood.
I have had a long career in international development and traveled extensively for business and pleasure. I enjoy staying in beautiful private homes when I travel - prefer the feeling of home to hotels.
This is my home that I rent in my absence, and it is furnished to make to feel like a home, in a very personal way - with vintage furniture and artifacts, rugs and artwork I have collected traveling around the work. Hope you like this style and will enjoy its multicultural feel.
Zoya purchased this house in 2002
This is a special home, decorate creatively and with love. Take a look at the photos. It is in a quiet and friendly diverse neighborhood, but close to everything. Plenty of parking, but the bus stop right next door too. You can walk to Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus and the JHU shuttle stop. Near Preakness, Union Memorial Hospital's Hand Center, Baltimore City Museum, and other sites.
Storage space in the basement. YMCA is right next door - has an Olympic size indoor swimming pool and all full fitness facilities. Community children's playground built and cared for by the neighborhoods. Djembe drums if you like to play. Figs and walnuts for picking in the back yard in season. Friendly neighbors.
A very comfortable home in a decent neighborhood. Everything one would expect in the home was there; the home is clean and well maintained. Owner communicated well. Would recommend.
Our stay at this property was very satisfactory. The area is very quiet and the home colorful and nicely furnished.. All the amenities were available. The entire house was clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the dining and living rooms where we spent time relaxing and enjoying family fun. The small balcony off the kitchen was a special treat where we sat and enjoyed morning coffee. Robert the manager was friendly, available, and very accommodating. We enjoyed sight seeing and eating at the Inner Harbor. Because the house is located close to the Amtrak train station, we road the train on three occasions to get in and out of Washington DC. We would definitely return for another stay.
The property is set in a quiet, residential area and offers a large and comfortable space to live, eat and relax. We used it as a base to drive into Washington DC, Gettysburg (each just over an hour away) and also to drive to the fabulous Baltimore waterfront area. It was very hot during our stay but the bedrooms and living space are all equipped with air-conditioners and most rooms have ceiling fans also. We like eating in some nights and the kitchen was very well equipped with pots, pans and crockery for our family meals (5 of us).
We met Robert the caretaker on arrival, he is a nice guy, very helpful and accommodating. Zoya contacted us shortly after arrival to check we were OK and settled.
For a long or short stay the property works very well. We made use of the washing machine whilst there, a Giant supermarket is within a short drive or 15 minute walk and the rooms are comfortably furnished. We chose to park on the street but never had any problem finding a space. The neighbourhood is safe, leafy and friendly. One neighbour even told us to help ourselves to any ripe tomatoes on the plants outside her house.
Thoroughly recommended, thanks Zoya.
Property was clean and neat, very comfortable. Would definitely recommend renting this property!!
This house is as advertised. We had everything we needed and the house is very comfortable. I liked the Home Away app that provided valuable information about stores, etc., in the area. The homeowner was very responsive to my questions and the caretaker was available if we needed him. I would definitely consider staying here again if need be. Thanks for a great stay!
It is always a pleasure to stay at this comfortable and colorful home. It is in a great location. Well cared for and welcoming. Besides enjoying our time with our daughter and new son-in-law, we had a lovely visit to the BMA.
I never thought I would ever live in a city until I found my haven in Ednor Gardens. A mix of people: young and older, with ancestors from every part of the globe, make it, block by block, the best place to live in Baltimore.
