This elegant Condo is located in Surfside , an important area of Miami approximately 15 minute drive to the fun and excitement of South Beach. And equidistant from both Miami Int'l Airport or Ft. Lauderdale Int'l.’ (Fort Lauderdale known as the Venice of the America's)
The beaches of Surfside are quiet and safe. You don’t need to drive your car to buy at a supermarket (Publix) or to enjoy the whole area with his beautiful activity center, with restaurants, shops, coffes etc. You will enjoy as well the days as warmer nights.- Besides the Condo is located 3 blocks from luxurious Bal Harbour shops and its important restaurants. Minutes away from Aventura Mall, Las Olas art galleries & restaurants, Gulfstream Park casino & race track, and the all new Hard Rock Hotel & casino.
The Unit is on the 10th floor of the condo. One bedroom and one bathroom, featuring a 1 Queen bed, 1 Futon plus 1 Folder Bed, comfortably accommodating at least 4 people. All the furniture are new with 2 TVs, 46” and 32”. Wide balcony with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean, city and the inter-coastal. Unit contains everything you need to feel as though at home.
You can enjoy de amenities of the condo: the swimming pool in front of the beach, the gym, etc. The unit has 1 covered parking included in the final price. There are two trails along the beach one for biking and the other for walking many miles along the beach.

We stayed in this unit March 16 - 23, 2013. I was reluctant to do the money transfer thing vs. a credit card but all turned out excellent. Excellent communication with Susan who arranged it all for us. Getting in to the building was a breeze. Entry into the unit is by means of an electronic door lock which worked flawlessly. The unit is well furnished and I rate it top-notch for the money. The view is excellent, again, for the price we paid. We felt it very fair. The location is just a few blocks from Surfside restaurants, groceries and a CVS. The bus stop is just a block or two away. The kitchen was nicely furnished. Bedding was clean. Towels and all the things you need for the beach were present.
The only thing I would change if I had a say was I would rather have a queen size bed rather than a double. We would rather have had cotton sheets and pillow cases but these items are minor issues. We did not complain about these things because the unit was so nice.
The area is safe. The unit is secure and your items are safe. I have used VRBO a number of times in the Miami Beach area and this unit tops them all. We shall return. Thank you Susan and all who made our stay so wonderful.
The condo looked exactly like the photos and was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The comfortable patio offered a nice view of the ocean, even though it was too cold during our stay to enjoy it or the beach. It was just the two of us, but had plenty of room when our son & grandkids came over for the day.
The Carlisle is a well-maintained older building; they were even doing some painting during our stay. The staff (especially Doug) was very friendly and always willing to help or answer any of our questions. We had some difficulty using our garage opener, but Doug was there with a smile to help.
This was the first time my husband and I stayed at Surfside and enjoyed the area as it's quieter than other parts of Miami Beach. We didn't rent a car as our son lives in Miami Beach and found we didn't need one. The two of us walked to Publix, the various shops and restaurants on Harding, and the beautiful stores at Bal Harbour. We highly recommend The Bistro restaurant on 96th Street across the bridge (not the one on Harding). We also caught a bus on Harding that took us to South Beach.

The condo at the Carlisle in Surfside FL is a roomy, clean, one-bedroom unit, sparsely but attractively furnished, and with all useful amenities, including beach towels and sand chairs. The building is old (1965) but has been renovated. Building employees are courteous and helpful. The building is steps from the attractive, uncrowded beach. Two walking/biking/jogging paths run along the beach. The building is within walking distance of the local Publix, as well as a variety of good restaurants on Harding Avenue. Parking under and around the building is adequate. The owner is professional to deal with. You can use the Surfside Community Center, with its wonderful aquatic center, for free if you present your lease at their office.. The building has a pool (not Olympic sized but adequate for lap swimming) and a barely adequate gym.
The unit lacks kitchen and bathroom fans--don't plan on doing any serious cooking in the kitchen because there's no ventilation, and cooking smells from other units creep into the unit and the hallways. South Florida is congested, and there's constant traffic on Collins and Harding Avenues. There's also construction around the building.
