Our upgrades to our condo include:

- bought new in Sept 2016: 48 inch LED Internet-enabled HD TV (you can stream Netflix movies for free)

- free wireless internet connection

- good couch and chairs (couch pulls out to Queen bed) - bought Sept. 2015

- washer and dryer so you can do laundry in the comfort of the condo

- ceiling fans

- and in Oct. 2016 we bought a new Port-a-Crib and collapsible stroller for guests bringing their smaller guests

We are the proud owners of this 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo located on the west coast of Maui in the Honokowai region. Located 5 miles north of downtown Lahaina, the Paki Maui condo resort is oceanfront and right next door to Honokowai Beach Park, where the kids can enjoy a playground and beach. Enjoy the ocean views of Molokai and Lanai'i from the Paki Maui lawn: sip your morning coffee while watching the waves come in or sometimes turtles feeding on the reefs (or even watch humpback whales November - April) and come back later with a Mai Tai to watch the beautiful sunset over the Pacific.

We consider our beautifully remodeled condo as our second home, and yours: you won't be roughing it as you'll enjoy the modern amenties, from the granite kitchen countertops and tile floors throughout to the claw-foot bathtub great for bathing the little ones after a day at the beach. As well, we've installed a 48 inch Samsung LED HD TV (Sept. 2016) where you can stream free Netflix movies from an online library, using our Netflix account. Enjoy breakfast on the private lanai off the family room or take a well-deserved afternoon nap on one of the chaise lounges on the other lanai off the master bedroom.

Our intention is to provide a great value for families - affordable yet upscale at the same time. The master bedroom has a Cal King bed, the guest bedroom has a Queen bed, and the couch in the family room has a comfortable Queen size fold out bed (bought in Sept. 2015). Plus in Oct. 2016 we bought a Port-a-Crib and collapsible stroller (remove child first!) to accommodate guests with small children so you don't have to haul those items from home. And you'll notice that we won't charge you for additional guests - our unit sleeps up to 6 people yet unlike other condo owners we won't charge you a fee for each person up to the 6. You can all cool down with the trade winds coming through both sliding glass doors, as well as ceiling fans in every room. We also have free wireless in the condo, high speed internet access, and cable HD Internet-enabled TV for streaming Netflix movies in the family room. As well, we had a washer/dryer installed in the condo.

Directly across the street you'll find the popular Farmers' Market every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning for fresh local produce, fruit, breads and the like! Feel free to meander to the deli/market, grab some coffee at the Bad Ass Coffee company and shop at a number of stores across the street.

The Paki Maui grounds are meticulously maintained, with mango and banana trees, a tropical garden with exotic Hawaiian flowers, as well as a koi fish pond with waterfall. You will enjoy the pool and jacuzzi on the grounds plus can relax on the resort's lounge chairs on the lawn at the ocean and under the palm trees. And feel free to prepare your own meals on the gas BBQs available in the swimming pool area.

I have lived my whole life in northern California and have great memories of family vacations to Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Santa Cruz and sometimes even Maui. I work in Silicon Valley and enjoy spending time with friends, neighbors and family, including my rescued Great Dane, Lily.

Why Jill chose Lahaina

We love the ~5 mile proximity to downtown Lahaina if we want that tourist experience, yet Paki Maui isn't in the middle of that hustle and bustle.

What makes this condo unique

We enjoyed watching the whales on our trip in March 2011 and February 2012. And the turtles are a favorite too! Quite simply, going down to the resort lawn in the morning with a cup of joe to watch the whales and turtles is magical.

My husband & I stayed in your condo with Kathy & Rick the week of Sept. 3rd. I know she already thanked you but I wanted to tell you, also, how much we enjoyed it. It was so perfect for us, definitely quality, but we really enjoyed the new mattresses. At our age, that's important and I wasn't expecting to sleep in such comfort. The condo was beautiful, comfortable, and well-stocked. Thank you for your gracious hospitality!

Wonderful apartment.

Thank you Jill for providing a beautiful place to stay! The corner apartment was comfortable, spacious, cool and breezy. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone that want an extremely pleasant stay. We will be back to Maui and this will be our spot.

Location, Location, Location!

First let me start by saying Jill is the nicest person we have EVER dealt with on VRBO. From initial inquiry to payment and a thank you note she was incredible!

This condo has location, location, location. Ten to fifteen minutes to Lahaina, Five minutes to The Aston east of us with a beautiful city beach next to it, , and 10 minutes to beautiful Napili Beach. In addition, the lawn fronting the building was the best place for watching sunsets. We barbequed a few times while watching the sunsets with Molokai and Lania off in the distance.

The park next door was great for morning strolls and coffee. Good Mexican food across the street, though a bit pricey. I personally LOVE ABC stores and there is one within walking distance. Washer and dryer in the condo are a BIG plus. If you don't bring a guide book, there is one in the condo. Invaluable for direction and travel tips.

Would have liked air conditioning but luckily the condo faces west, so the tradewinds come in through the patio doors.

There is no avoiding the fact that the condo is at the end of the building. The good part is a short walk to your car and carrying things in. The bad part is it fronts a busy street. Initially I though it was going to be a big problem, but after one day it was like the traffic wasn't even there and truthfully never bothered us.

One dining tip in Lahaina. I personally though Lahaina was an overpriced tourist trap but my kids liked it. But if you get to the end of Front Street it is much nicer. DO NOT miss the incredible large Banyon tree. Has to be seen to be believed. Around the corner from it we dined at The Pioneer. Good food, great prices, fantastic service.

Great place

This was a great place to stay for our visit...there were five of us. Corner condo so the tradewinds blew threw all the time. In addition to ceiling fans, there were extra fans. Daily honu sightings along the reef. The place was pretty well-stocked with dishes, utensils, cleaning supplies, basic pantry items, etc...including aloe vera for those who burn easily.

Great location--quite a few ono places to eat, rentals places, shops, and Times supermarket all within walking distance. Just off the highway to easy to find/get to.

Only "downsides" I think of: For light sleepers: It's near a beach and beach parties can go all night long and you have to keep the windows and sliding doors open to enjoy the tradewinds so don't forget to bring your earplugs. Water pressure in the main shower was low. May be a good idea too keep extra brooms/dustpans for the sand. There were ants though they weren't a problem for us.

Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome part of the island to stay. Jill was great and the condo had plenty of amenities.

Place was great, right on the water. Jill was awesome. Only downside was the traffic noise as the condo was on a heavily traveled road. No AC so windows had to remain open.

Wonderful for families, very comfortable, good location

Stayed in this unit last week, had a wonderful time. Loved the privacy of the lanai's (2) and had breakfast in our pajamas every day. The BBQ area near the pool is great and loved viewing the sea turtles from the lounges along the oceanfront. Washer and dryer in the unit made packing much easier and much lighter. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely contact Jill and stay in her unit again for our next trip to Maui. This was an end unit with a partial Oceanview from the lanais, Convenient stairway access right to our car was great. And from the window near the kitchen we enjoyed beautiful views up the hill side, even a double rainbow . Jill's response to any and all of our questions was outstanding and the staff at Paki Maui was great. There is some road noise but we slept with the windows open and it didn't keep any of us awake. So nice to hear the ocean in early morning from the lanais. Beds were very comfortable, slept like a baby.
