Experience a real, working cattle ranch.
Lovely stay with perfect hosts, accommodating at every turn. A really special vacation for our three families.
If you would like a comfortable and unusually natural experience and surroundings the guest house at the ranch makes you feel like you are a guest at the Ewing ranch on the TV show Dallas. We walked in and could not believe how spacious it was. 20 mile views out the windows and elk bugeling outside the windows at night was an added feature we enjoyed. The hosts are kind family people and there is a lot to learn about cattle, hay, fencing, water and horses if you like. This is an unexpected nice experience for couples or families. Totally down to earth.
We are so grateful to the Hoeffner family for their warmth and wonderful hospitality while we stayed at their lovely clean and comfortable guest home at their ranch. They are the perfect hosts and made us feel welcome and at home. We traveled with three children ages 9, 12 and 15 and all were entertained the whole time we were there, just exploring the surroundings, playing with the dogs, and enjoying spending time with our hosts, who are some of the nicest people we have met in a long time. The horseback riding was so much fun, and the horses and ranch are so well cared for, it was so interesting to learn the day to day operations of a ranch, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we all regretted leaving. We hope to be back one day soon, as the Staubach Creek Ranch is one of our all time favorite vacation spots, we consider the Hoeffner's our new friends, and this visit was by far the highlight of our summer. We highly recommend the Staubach Creek Ranch!
We SO enjoyed our stay at Staubach Ranch! Heavenly surroundings and very nice spacious guest cabin. Our hosts were just great. They took us horse back riding and let our ten year old ride along in the tractor to bale hay. Enjoyed watching the family prepare for the State Fair rodeo. Loved experiencing ranch life and hope to return some day!
Our three night stay was too short! Very welcoming host family who provided lots of options at the ranch and in the surrounding area. We enjoyed two horseback rides and a fun game of basketball in the barn! Would love to make a return trip!
Hosts were well accomodating, very clean house, fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed! Abundance of animals were fun to be around. The volleyball court in the barn was a fantastic addition for our kids. We all enjoyed the stay and look forward to visiting again.
