Why Pat Bullard chose Alabama Gulf Coast

This house gives you the feel of being at the beach, but the privacy of a yard. Located in an area of the island that is easily accessable to all activities.

What makes this cottage unique

This house is all on one level with entrance access under covered parking for easy loading and unloading. The house is pet friendly and family friendly. The large back yard is great for pets as well as families for games and grilling out. The dunes behind the house are its best feature . It is the best place to spend the evening watching the sunset over the gulf.

Relax, Refresh, Reconnect

  • 5 of 5

My family reconnected from across the country for a relaxing vacation together. The house and yard were wonderful. It was well maintained and conveniently situated for long strolls along a beautiful beach. We relaxed in the back yard and enjoyed an evening fire. We all left refreshed and already planning a return.

Comfortable, easy living

  • 5 of 5

Pat's house was roomy, clean and comfortable. We were so happy with how dog friendly it was making our stay even more relaxing. This was our first trip to Dauphin Island and this house was a good home base so we could explore the island. We sure enjoyed ourselves.

Nice, neat and clean

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Dunes. It was nice to come home to a house that everyone could spread out in, after a long day of activities. There is a good selection of cooking ware and utensils. The only downside is you need to wear shoes when walking on the Dunes. They have a lot of sand burrs in them. Over all it was a good house at a good price. We will be returning.

Great house, perfect area.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time on Dauphin Island. This was our third stay on the island in 10 months and we picked the perfect house for the hot weather. The trees provided much needed shade, the location was perfect... Even the fox was a fun surprise. Not to mention the comfortable beds. We will be coming back soon!

Sunset Dunes was perfect for us and our pups. It was one level, quiet, and a quick drive to the beach at the country club. Although the fence didnt have gates, we brought baby gates and filled in the two openings. We never left our pups out alone, but felt secure letting them explore the backyard while we were outside too. The house and setting made this the most relaxing vacation we've had in years.

The best vacation ever!!!

  • 5 of 5

So let me start from the beginning. When we got to the house it was super clean which is awesome. It had nice comfortable Decour and everything we need it. Don't forget to bring toilet paper and paper towels though. The three bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms were as well. We had never been to dauphin Island and it was quaint an very laid-back which we loved. When you're walking out the back door to get to the beach it is a good walk (10 minutes) through the dunes however we used it as our exercise and the nature was worth the walk. My husband saw a beach fox! The beach is super private as well. we hardly saw anyone. The backyard was very large and it had a patio and fire pit which was really nice. There was also a large screened in porch that was very convenient. I meant to personally email the owner to tell her what a great house she has but it's slipped my mind. I hope this will suffice as how thankful we are! And let me not forget to mention how private the house feels. the trees and the birds made it a very relaxing overall experience in The yard. You feel like you are in a local neighborhood rather then with all the vacationers. Big plus. But you are 2 minutes to the store, gas station, bakery, wall trail, ect. If you stay anywhere else on the island you're nuts! When we come back we are staying here! Thank you so much!
